2018: The Year of Effy Giraffe

As you know, the delay of In The Life of Effy Giraffe is an absolute bummer. But I assure you the wait will be worth it. I’m scrapping some of what we have already shot and we will be working on a more in depth storyline, rather than the way we shot it (a different plot line per episode). 

We will also be recasting roles for some special episodes. I’m very excited and the wait will certainly be worth it- I know! I constantly say it! But it’s true!

A new year for some MUSIC stuff! What? I’m returning to music! Well... you’ll have to wait to see the exciting project I’m brewing up! Remember... I AM retired from music. But? Who knows? Official announcements will be made next year, of course. But I wanted to put it out there SOMETHING BIG is coming. Musically.

As for an official trailer for In The Life? There isn’t one yet but teasers will be rolling out more frequently!

‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’ To Release Early 2018

I know, the headline is the worst news ever! Probably something you DIDN’T want to hear! In The Life of Effy Giraffe gets postponed yet again. For a couple of very good reasons.

1. Where The Heck Is It Airing!? 

Everybody is FINALLY talking about a series I have put my heart and soul into for the past few years. The buzz is continuing and I couldn’t be happier. Unfortunately, we STILL don’t know where the show will be making its debut.

2. Our Promotion Team Has Been A MESS

We have shot plenty of content to be used for promos. The problem? Our team doesn’t know how to release any teasers without revealing my new face. I have given them plenty of ideas but they have been sitting on them. Time to do some firing? I think yes!

3. Re-Casting/Finishing Shooting The Series

We were suppose to start shooting a special episode in June, but unfortunately our special guest star was unavailable to shoot and won’t be in the area when we begin shooting the episode. SO, we will be recasting the roll of Jasmine- which will also take some time.

4. Talking To Possible Distributors

We are talking to some people who are interested in distributing our show. DVD copies for everyone!? YES!!! Hopefully!

It will be worth the wait. Expect teasers and trailers soon. 2018 will BE THE YEAR! I promise!

Be Prepared For A Show Unlike Any Other

Effy Giraffe

I want to take a moment to talk about a show you have been hearing about for months. That’s right, In The Life of Effy Giraffe. It has taken us years to finalize everything, and let me tell you all. You aren’t ready for everything you’re about to witness.

A huge struggle of ours was securing first and foremost enough equipment to develop a watchable series. We considered shooting the show in 4K, but that technology is still so new. So for the sake of a possible DVD release we shot the series in full high definition. 

Quality wise, the series looks amazing. But another obstacle  we found ourselves in- how do we do a series with only two cast members. Fortunately for us, a few people entered into our lives and they signed the release to make appearances on the show. So that much was solved.

We then ran into an issue of where will the show officially premiere, and how many episodes are going to be released at a time. In a society where “binge-watching” have become the new “norm” I was so up in the air about what I should exactly do. Unfortunately, I decided releasing the show all at once seemed a little forced. So a week by week format is planned.

Speaking of plans, I had no idea the show would turn out the way that it did. It’s so shocking and twisted, you’ll be left wanting more after each episode. So be prepared for a show unlike any other!

With that being said, the show does include some rather graphic scenes- everything WILL BE for the most part censored (including adult language). Just keep in mind, this isn’t a show to watch as family. I’d say it’s a series you’d watch after tucking the kitties into bed.

The first two episode titles were revealed not too long ago. Opening Remarks & Living In Dyer Times. Those titles have since been changed. I’ll be giving you a complete list of episode titles sometime soon.

With the amount of drama and thrills featured in Season 1, I’m hoping the turn out is huge. If so I have been considering a second season because it has been a lot of fun shooting the series and bringing it back would be such an honor. Again, a large turn out heavily impacts the possibility for a second season so make sure to share it with your friends once it gets released.

Speaking of the first season release, we are still in discussion with a few companies who want to host the series on their website. If the offers don’t fall through, most likely I’ll be releasing them on Youtube. A lot of the promotion for the series has been posted to my personal Youtube Channel anyway, so it only seems right to post each episode there. But we’ll see what happens.

I want to especially thank all of my fans who have been patiently waiting. This series is becoming a reality so soon. And I for one, am just so incredibly excited to share my next step in life with all of you.

In The Life of Effy Giraffe: Fans Are Buzzing!

Earlier this week, I premiere a brand new teaser that has raised a lot of questions. WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?

It’s a very good question, and a lot of have have been speculating with the Twitter hashtag #WhatHappenedToEffy.

I am here to tell you to instead ask, who did this to Effy? That’s right. Season 1 of ‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’ will not open with a dull narration of who I am and what my life is all about. The show will open with a tragedy, actually quite a few tragedies.

As you know, we planned on shooting and releasing this show back in 2015. But a lot of things have happened that forced us to stop production entirely. Two of these tragedies will be revealed right in the first episode (S01E01: Opening Remarks), one being only briefly discussed and the other happening right before your eyes.

These shocks will set the scene for the whole series, and strangely enough. None of this was planned.

The series has a little bit of everything and I’m so excited to share with you all how crazy my life is, and I can’t wait for you all to see my new face.. yes.. I had to receive cosmetic surgery to repair what was left damaged.

Finally... A Teaser

With the show only months away, it is a shock to many we haven’t promoted it much. That is because we are holding onto a huge secret. What does Effy Giraffe actually look like now?

The latest and first ever teaser from the ACTUAL SHOW has arrived and it is only about to raise a lot of questions! Take a look for yourself:

You can all file this one under what the fu** happened! I posted a teaser picture yesterday and a lot of you assumed I was recovering from a face lift, but according to this teaser my “face lift” might actually be a facial injury!

I can confirm the injury resulted in some damage to my face. I had to undergo reconstructive surgery. You will see it all in the show premiering this fall!

New ‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’ Promo Photo Reveals Effy DOES Get A Face-Lift

News has been hush hush on my reality series lately. We are keeping a lot quiet so far. Yesterday, I revealed an actual photo from the show. The promo shot shows my face bandaged up. Is it because I had work done? Or was I in some kind of accident? This October, you WILL find everything out!

The photo isn’t the only tease you will be getting. Teasers will follow soon! So get excited.

I also am working on something very interesting that I can’t quite talk about yet. Just know I’m not going away after the show airs!

The Truth Behind: A Reality Series

‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’ could very well be my most hyped about projeect of my career. Which is why I needed the show to be perfect before actually putting it out there.

Where It All Began

In 2014, Cotey and I shot an episode of a series (then dubbed) Effy Show. I was planning a major television take over. The first episode was shot with a really shitty camcorder, but the drama was real. It almost became a real deal series!

After shooting the first episode, I released a short clip via Youtube. I never made it public (until now). Originally, it was just sent to some close friends for feedback on whether a television show was worth a shot. Check it out:

A few weeks later, I decided I wanted to shoot a full length series. So I started releasing promos for it. I wanted to attract a large following SO... the first promo was released exclusively on Pornhub.com - a popular website featuring adult content. The clip is actually still up today (WARNING: Adult Content. The promos were shot down with horrible reviews- mainly due to the camera quality so we decided to put the project off until 2015.

2015

Delaying the project was probably the smartest idea we ever had. We put money towards a better camera and our lives became a lot more dramatic, which was perfect for a show. We began shooting in early 2015, hoping to release the show by 2016.

In early 2015, I released a promo video of our annual Easter dinner.. only it featured a melt down by yours truly (take a look):

The clip was one of two, this one being the more popular one. Due to positive feedback I was very excited to continue shooting the series. And we were PRAYING for an early 2016 release.

Four months after releasing the infamous “Eat The Corn!” clip, we released an official trailer featuring clips for various episodes we shot for the show.

We shot about 4 episode, but I still wanted to release a trailer to give a tease for the fans patiently waiting. We wanted to shoot more, but unfortunately we couldn’t due to our conflicting schedules - me being in the studio prepping ‘The Greatest: The Complete Hits Collection’ and Cotey with her graduation duties.

In fact, we never got a chance to continue picking up from where we left off. Until 2016, sort of.

  2016

New year, new struggles. On January 1st, I announced my long awaited series would be making its debut July 2016. Which was the original plan. I was going to shoot two more episodes and finally put the show out there. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Instead I scrapped everything we had and we started from scratch.

SURE! That seems crazy, but I had every reason to. The show was certainly dramatic, but it seemed a little all over the place and a little under produced. SO. I took my profits  from my greatest hits album and purchased better equipment so we could start from scratch. 

2017

We shot most of the show in 2016, and some things in 2017. It will finally see the light of day this year in October! I’m personally very excited for you all to see what we have in store. It was certainly worth the wait and the struggles! You will all be blown away! I know it has been such a dragged out process, but I’m glad you’re all sticking with me! It’s going to be a great year!

Happy Music Monday! Here is some exclusive fun!

In 2015, we released my farewell album titled ‘Out of This World’. Before it was announced a farewell, rumors circulated a follow up was already being planned. An insider revealed on an Effy fan site ‘Out of This World’ had so many left over tracks- so a follow up album entitled ‘Inhabitant Being’ would be released featuring those out takes.

The rumor was partly true, but mostly false. ‘Inhabitant Being’ was a planned follow up album that never exactly took off because I wanted ‘Out of This World’ to be my big goodbye. So not songs were recorded! OOTW was such a strong album, and I wanted to end up career on a high note rather than follow up a hit with a possible flop. There was also NOT a lot of left overs from Out of This World. All of the left overs actually made it onto my greatest hits album as bonus tracks in late 2015/early 2016.

So, what is this clip I am sharing with you then? This was a trashed demo of a song titled ‘Strip’. The song was from an Out of This World session and was later trashed because I felt the lyrics and song were just off. They didn’t balance out well. Maybe you might enjoy it, but  just didn’t.

‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’ Cast REVEALED!

As you might know, we have been trying to land a few guest stars on In The Life of Effy Giraffe, and I have the official cast here for you exclusively:

I announced a few weeks ago, Amazon’s Alexa will be making a cameo appearance. Many will think it’s paid product placement, but it isn’t! I’m a huge fan of Alexa and Amazon so I naturally wanted to promote the amazing product! And boy, let me tell you she is sassy!

4. Jasmine Dyer

Last but not least, I present to you Jasmine Dyer. I take back every mean think I might have said about her- even though lets be real, we won’t be getting along on the show! We will be enemies. Jasmine has officially said yes and WILL BE joining the cast! Thank you so much! We are honored!

Our cast is small but I’m very proud of what we’ll accomplish!

‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’ Behind The Scenes Fun

We know.. We know.. WE KNOW. You have waited forever for some brand new In The Life of Effy Giraffe teasers (and even longer for the damn show). Sadly, I don’t have a new teaser for you. I have one better...

One night, after a long day of shooting, Cotey and I needed a sort of pick me up. So, we decided to call a phone sex line so I could talk to some pervs! It was a lot of fun! 

So, why am I telling you this? Well... I had no idea cameras were rolling while I was on the phone. So, I’m sharing A CLIP of the phone sex conversation!

‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’ Premiere Date + Episode Titles Revealed

We have some BIG news for you all! The premiere of my long awaited series, In The Life of Effy Giraffe, now has an official release date. We have struggled to release the show for years for many reasons but I can officially confirm that you will finally be seeing the show soon!

Originally, the series was set to release in July 2016 but we ran into a few obstacles. One being, finding the time to shoot. Cotey goes to school, and even though I would have loved to shoot some scenes in his school we couldn’t make that happen. So that left us with a lot less time to shoot. Other not so major obstacles included funding and lack of promotion- so delaying the show was a must for us.

Cotey was and is very important to the series. He holds it together! My life wouldn’t be worth watching without him, so I’m very glad we worked out the schooling debacle. 

Speaking of debacles, we have been waiting to see if Jasmine Dyer would be interested in making a special guest appearance. So we held off shooting our Halloween special. And as of a few weeks ago, I announced Dyer no longer expressed any interest in the series for a guest role. In fact, she has been ignoring my offers. This was certainly unfortunate but we will survive without her and we plan to actually shoot the Halloween special in a few months (after which we will wrap up production and release the series).

So many of you are probably wondering. WHEN IS IT COMING OUT! Well...

The official release date is October 27th, 2017!! We will kick the series off with our debut episode titled, Opening Remarks. But that’s not all! We aren’t just premiering one episode. We are giving you all TWO EPISODES. Opening Remarks and our Halloween special Living In Dyer Times.

It’s such a fun show and I hope you will all enjoy it!

New ‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’ Promo Pictures Are A Mystery...

Unfortunately, video promos have been rolling in very slowly for my upcoming reality series. But every now and again we get some stunning photo promos! Today, I launched a few on my personal social media pages and they are ALL teasing a mystery! MY FACE?!

As you know, a few promos that released a month ago teased I might have had work done! We aren’t done teasing this! The latest promos I rolled out are very secretive! No faces! Just shadows!

I’m loving the promos A LOT! Artistically they are so beautiful! Here they are:

1. The Comic Book

I’m absolutely loving this promo! It has a very comic book feel to it. I love the “Ouch...” addition to the picture. It sort of teases somebody is going to get hurt in the series!

I call this one, Shadows of the night! It’s so calm and beautiful! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this promo!

The Latest ‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’ Teaser Has Arrived

The only thing I EVER talk about is my show. Constantly. Usually, I go on about what you will see- without providing any actual new details. I do apologize for this. It has been YEARS since I first announced the release of ‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’ and we have run into a lot of obstacles trying to make the show happen.

Thankfully, we are a step in the right direction and the show will make it’s official release this year. So far, I haven’t released many teasers or trailers promoting the highly anticipated series. I do apologize for this!

Here is some good news though, I have a BRAND NEW teaser for you! Introducing a new character.

The teaser is pretty short, and all that is revealed is her name. Amy. Amy will only be featured in one episode of the show and I’m so excited. She IS a doll, as you can tell. I can’t say much about the character quite yet-- except for the fact that she will be in the Halloween special episode ‘Living In Dyer Times’!

‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’ Spin-off Already In The Works For 2018/2019

In The Life of Effy Giraffe will be making its season premiere late this year. A lot of you are excited and have been patiently waiting for the series! We have had so many obstacles, so I’m absolutely thankful for  your patience. 

So with that being said, we have decided that In The Life of Effy Giraffe will not be returning for a second season in 2018. Even though that might sound like bad news, it’s really not. We have been penning a 2018/2019 In The Life of Effy Giraffe spin-off starring your truly!

We are only in the planning process, so we aren’t 100% sure if this will be happening. Here is what is planned so far:

The spin-off will be a Youtube Original series titled Living In Dyer Times (based on, but unrelated to, the In The Life of Effy Giraffe episode with the same name). Cotey Collins will not be involved in this series. Instead, I will star/host the show.

You’re probably wondering, is Jasmine Dyer at all involved in this project. Is it a reality series following HER LIFE? Not really but sorta and No. The Youtube Original series will involve me “reviewing” the latest and greatest of Jasmine’s own original Youtube videos. 

The concept is actually inspired by my Facebook live videos, where I have done the same thing in the past. Instead, you get a view of both me and Jasmine’s latest video and I will be making my commentary on the video as it plays!

I’m thinking of NOT limiting myself to Jasmine’s videos, I want to also make commentary on movie trailers, music videos, viral videos, and more! It’ll be something everybody can enjoy!

I plan on doing some test runs on Facebook live to see if it’s something I want to pursue, but so far I’m loving the idea of Living In Dyer Times and I hope I can make it happen!

Confirmed: HALLOWEEN Episode of ‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’

It has been rumored for a long time, but now it’s officially happening. We are planning a rather believable Halloween episode of In The Life of Effy Giraffe. That’s right! The episode will be a Halloween special, officially releasing October 27th, 2017.

I can’t say much about the episode quite yet. It hasn’t been shot! The reason? We were hoping to get Jasmine Dyer to make a special appearance on this shocking special and we were actually waiting for her to return from college to shoot her scenes. Speaking of Jasmine, the episode will be titled Living In Dyer Times- which is a little tribute to her!!

As you know, a few months back we confirmed Jasmine no longer wanted anything to do with the project- but you never know! She might change her mind! It’ll certainly be a can’t miss episode and we’d LOVE to have her in it!

Cotey and myself will, of course, star in the special. I don’t want to share too much yet.  But I can say it’ll be pretty fucking spooky!

I’m excited! It’s going to be such an amazing year! I am just so so excited!!

'Effy Giraffe’ iTunes and Google Play App In Development

Hello everybody! Rumor has it we are working on developing an official Effy Giraffe app for all of your smart devices! The rumor first made its way onto social media, where the (below) screenshot was attached:

The screenshot reveals my upcoming reality series will actually be streamable on the app FOR FREE, which is getting A LOT of attention. I'm excited to say I'm trying very hard to make this happen. What you see is basically a rough... rough... sketch at what I'm hoping the app will consist of. We are busy coding it as we speak! 

The app just might be the home to In The Life of Effy Giraffe- considering we have been having a really hard time trying to find a free way for you all to watch! Funny or Die was originally going to be our service of choice, but they unfortunately just aren't interested in that possible collaboration. So we have a few alternative services in mind. However,  we CAN say that if the app becomes “a thing” you WILL be able to stream the show in its entirety right from the app!

The app will also include some behind the scene interviews and so much more. As stated in the rough sketch/screenshot, I'm hoping to include my very own MUSIC SERVICE which will include my ENTIRE MUSIC CATALOG. That's right. Starting from 2009-2015, you will be able to stream every Effy album ever made (most of which are no longer available online!). And not just that, we will include NEVER BEFORE HEARD CONTENT!! It'll be a pretty amazing app if we can actually get it up and running. 

As I said, I'm beyond excited for this! Lets hope it works out!!

Latest Controversy: Effy Giraffe Has WORK DONE?!

New promotional pictures for ‘In The Life of Effy Giraffe’ were just launched yesterday, and they have been the center of attention on social media for a couple of reasons. 

The first reason is obvious, THE NIPPLE. Although censored, a lot of people are worried about the NSFW shot. I find it hysterical. Someone even tweeted me to “cover up”. Can you believe it!! I can’t, especially since they aren’t even real tits.

The second (and most shocking) reason is the fact that I’m suggesting I might have had work done. This whole cosmetic surgery topic will be addressed in my upcoming show- and I feel that this promotional tactic is a perfect tease of things that might be happening on the show.

I know I have been keeping you all in the dark lately about my upcoming series, but that is because we are in the process of editing all of the content we have- and even shooting some more episodes! It’s going to be an interesting premiere!
