Eric, a member of Shinhwa, unexpectedly displayed his promotion skills.

On May 9th broadcast of tvN’s ’Will The Locals Eat It? - Season 3’, the viewership exceeded 5% according to Nielsen Korea. It is the season highest rating so far. (Note: highest rating for S1, which had the same time slot with S3, was 1.881%. And highest rating for S2, which had best time slot, was 5.359%)

“Bok’s Food” staffs with Lee Yeon-bok, Shinhwa’s Eric, Heo Kyung-hwan, and John Park opened their fourth day of business in America. Eric’s spectacular dumpling debut drew in attention from the viewers.

On that day, Eric was in charge of dumpling to replace Heo Kyung-hwan as he was moved to be in charge of ‘Fried Chicken’. Returning as 'Mandu-Ric’, Eric was praised by Chef Lee Yeon-bok as he succeeded making dumplings perfectly right from the first batch. Chef Lee Yeon-bok kept complimenting his great cooking ability.

Thriving in his dumpling making debut, Eric was satisfied with the continuous dumpling orders that aspired his ambition and said “Let’s sell all Mandu!” However, the unexpected cold weather made them face a crisis as people went indoors.

With Chef Lee Yeon-bok’s suggestion, Eric started a food sampling of dumpling & fried chicken with Heo Kyung-hwan. He went indoors and started promoting the food earnestly. Eric showed perfect English skills while promoting dumpling samples to local Americans. Viewers were surprised at his English ability that he could not show to the fullest as he was working the kitchen.

After the promotion, Eric got back to the food truck and 4 orders for dumplings came in quickly. Eric’s promotion achieved great results and made him 'God of Sales’. At the sudden influx of dumpling orders, Eric was not panic. He quickly cooked the dumpling with great speed and showed viewers his great cook skills once again.

In previous episodes, Eric earned his nicknames as 'Onion-Ric’, 'Mandu-Ric’, and 'Human Wrapper’. On this day, he returned as 'Mandu-Ric’ and showed charming appearances that got viewers’ attention with his great performances from cooking, to English skills, to sales promotion. He was good at everything. Viewers are looking forward to what else he will show.

180718 ‘20 Years’ Shinhwa will be on ‘1 Night 2 Days’.... adding on legendary show

After some researching by DongA, Shinhwa will be participating in KBS’s ‘1 Night 2 Days’ filming.

The specific concept is not decided yet but the fun is guaranteed with Shinhwa and the cast of ‘1 Night 2 Days’.  Aside from jTBC’s Shinhwa Broadcast, this would be the first outdoor variety show with all 6 Shinhwa members participating since.

Celebrating their 20th Anniversary on March 24th this year, Shinhwa is carrying out special project this year.

Starting with the announcement of gift single MV ’All Your Dreams (2018)’, Shinhwa members have been appearing on various entertainment programs like ’Seoul Mate’, ‘Baek Jong-won’s Alley Restaurant’ (Andy), ’Will The Locals Eat It?’ (Lee Min Woo), ’Urban Fisherman’ (Eric, Lee Min Woo, Shin Hyesung), ’Law of The Jungle in Sabah’ (Eric, Lee Min Woo, Andy).

In addition to participating on ‘1 Night 2 Days’, Shinhwa will be releasing an album in the last half of this year to continue on the 20th Anniversary project.

Shinhwa to appear on “2 Days & 1 Night” as Full Group.

All six members of Shinhwa will be appearing together on “2 Days & 1 Night”!

On July 18, a representative for the popular KBS 2TV variety show announced, “Shinhwa has been confirmed to be appearing on the program as a full group. We are still in the process of determining their [filming] schedule.”

Shinhwa, who celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut earlier this year, is widely renowned for their teamwork and their hilarious chemistry on variety shows.

“2 Days & 1 Night” airs on Sundays at 6:20 p.m. KST.

Shinhwa welcomed their 20th birthday. It’s their 20th debut anniversary. Shinhwa debuted in 1998, and has released 13 studio albums in the past 20 years. While the mountains and rivers changed twice, and even through much complications, they have protected the name of Shinhwa, and received a lot of love as they released multiple hit tracks, starting with their debut song, ‘The Resolver’. 

Shinhwa is the longest running idol group that is ‘currently active’ and has continuously promoted for 20 years, without even one member change. There are so many groups that have dissolved or experience member changes to the extent that the ‘idol 7 year jinx’ saying exists, and that is what makes Shinhwa’s 20th year shine even more.

The drunk talk interview was arranged with great difficulty, as Shinhwa was busy with preparations so that they can celebrate their 20th anniversary in an even more meaningful manner with the fans.
