Oh my god! Could you imagine if we could have gotten the rights to that Psychedelic Furs song?
For context, Christina Orjalo (aka, Valerie) and I had just learnt a dance for this scene, choreographed by the wonderful Ashley Hand, and ended up performing it to Elvis Costello’s ‘Alison’ on set. Sadly, we also couldn’t get the rights to the Elvis Costello song.
I saw this pic and captured like that, it made me think of this passion :

Oliver into the song dancing like no else exists around him
I am so glad you enjoyed the episode! It was probably my favourite episode to shoot. Because it was a bottle episode, we had one whole day to shoot all of the library scenes, and another day dedicated to shooting the boiler room scenes.
As a result, we had way more time to experiment with how we wanted to play certain moments. Some of which, I am sad to say, didn’t make the cut. Like the one take where Tate (aka, Kolton Stewart) delivered his corny “That’s what she said” joke, and then, after nobody laughed, started looking around the room really passive aggressively and then yelled, “No one?!”
Kolton’s hilarious, and I hope there’s a behind the scenes featurette out there that includes this moment.
I know episode 8 of Astrid and Lilly Save the World was supposed to be a Breakfast Club tribute, but in reality, it was a tribute to early 2000s Japanese horror films.
SPOILER ALERT FOR ASTRID AND LILLY SAVE THE WORLD, EPISODE 10
Before they added special effects in to sell the Guardian’s disintegration, Mike Shara actually acted out, beat for beat, what it would look like to spontaneously combust.
If Astrid and Lilly ever gets a home video release, I hope there is a behind the scenes featurette dedicated solely to Mike Shara pretending to explode. His pupils dilated. His face got red. His head started vibrating, but his body remained perfectly still. It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen.

Sonia argues that Eggs would have a copy of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on his night stand. Close, Sonia, but no cigar! Allow me to take you all on a tour of Eggs’ personal library!
