Idk if anyone else pointed this out but during the comic con panel Sam points out to Bailey that whenever the characters are aroused their eyes dilate. During the ballroom scene both Lestat and Louis’ eyes dilate while they’re dancing. Eye dilation scenes my beloved.

Can’t stop thinking about how Claudia was supposed to be Louis’ fucked up do over after being blamed for Paul’s suicide and his guilt over his distancing from Grace, his redemption in “saving” at least one girl from the racist attacks on Storyville after he kills Alderman, the chance for Louis to be the present and caring father that stays, that doesn’t die and leave the responsibility of handling the family’s dirty money all to the eldest…and yet…Claudia still ends up so hurt by Louis’ choices and simultaneously his refusal to make decisions. Louis loves her but he still fails her…he loves her but he shouldn’t have ever asked Lestat to make her…but I don’t think he regrets it bc ultimately she was his light…she’s his Claudia…. :(
