I got to speak to a neurologist the other day and straight up said out loud “I’m just looking for help with the migraines, the little headaches are fine” and didn’t question myself at all until he asked me the third time to tell him about the little headaches and how frequent they are and if my eyes water and if I get light sensitivity and the short version is that apparently I’ve had chronic migraines for years

Although Tolkien never really discussed this at length, the plot of LOTR and especially Silmarillion imply some really interesting ideas about immortality. Sure, he says that mortal men need to accept their mortality, because it’s inevitable, and the pseudo-immortality offered to some of them is a trap that will take their selfhood and autonomy. But then he also writes a whole race of immortals and says that they need to learn to accept loss and grief and change: even if they themselves don’t die, time will pass and things will change, and an immortal who cannot let go of ephemeral things will die over and over, or break the world in trying to recover what he lost.

Tim’s whole one-man-quest-to-save-Bruce-from-time has gotta be the funniest from Damian’s perspective. like to Damian, Tim must be the pettiest motherfucker on EARTH. Damian shows up, Bruce dies, and Dick gives Damian Tim’s mantle of Robin. from Damian’s perspective what happens next is literally Tim dropping off the face of the earth, not saying shit for like six months, and then showing up again out of nowhere having been with the fucking League of Assassins, developing some fucked up relationship with Damian’s grandfather. there’s no fucking way Damian doesn’t see that shit as a personal attack on him out of spite for taking the Robin mantle.

Without getting into the ethics or massive environmental impact... Ai art just feels... soulless. It often has that generic, overly polished, high-sheen look that is emotionally flat. Like it’s mimicking style without understanding why that style mattered in the first place. They all look the same.

Something something about Curufin really resembling Fëanor. Sometimes Curufin catches his brothers looking at him weirdly. Like, really weird. Maglor standing in the doorway with tears in his eyes while Curufin plays with Tyelpe, softly singing the same songs Fëanor used to hum to them as kids. Or Maedhros going completely silent—teary-eyed silent—after Curufin delivers a fiery political rant they absolutely don’t agree on. Tyelko weirdly saying a soft “thank you” (with a smile, no less) when Curufin quietly replaces his worn-out arrows with new ones. Even Caranthir showing up at the forge, saying nothing at all, just standing there until Curufin asks what’s up and all he says is, “I like watching you work.”

It used to weird him out. Now he kinda gets it. They weren't looking at him at these times... they were seeing echoes. He accepts it. His brothers' pain is the same as his.
