Module 9-CEID100
AI's Role in Sustainable Agriculture in the Future
By 2050, the world's population is expected to exceed 9 billion, posing the problem of meeting the rising need for food. The existing agricultural methods, however, are unsustainable and cause soil erosion, water pollution, and environmental deterioration. As a result, it is essential to implement sustainable agriculture methods that are socially responsible, commercially feasible, and ecologically beneficial.
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in agriculture is one possible response to this problem. AI may assist farmers in making data-driven choices, maximising the use of resources, and improving agricultural yields. How AI may change the agricultural industry is as follows:
Precision farming
Drones and AI-powered sensors are used in precision agriculture to gather real-time information about crop growth, soil moisture, and nutrient levels. The insights gained from the analysis of this data can assist farmers in making educated decisions about irrigation, fertilisation, and pest management. Farmers may decrease waste, boost crop yields, and have a minimal negative environmental effect by employing precision agriculture.
Crop Watching
AI may also be used to track the health and development of crops. AI can detect farm regions that are underperforming through the analysis of satellite photos, allowing farmers to make improvements. As a result, less pesticides and fertiliser may need to be used, which is better for the environment.
Climate simulation
AI may be used to forecast weather patterns and the consequences of climate change on agriculture. Farmers may acquire precise forecasts of weather patterns and modify their farming techniques by employing machine learning algorithms. By doing this, the possibility of crop failure, which may cause food shortages and famine, may be reduced.
Supply Chain Management
AI may also be utilised to streamline the agricultural goods' supply chain. Farmers may forecast demand using predictive analytics and change their supply as necessary. This can minimise food wastage and guarantee that farmers are paid fairly for their goods.
Finally, the use of AI in agriculture can assist farmers in implementing sustainable methods, boosting agricultural yields, and minimising environmental effect. The expense of technology and the requirement for infrastructure are two issues that are related with the implementation of AI in agriculture. To guarantee that AI is available to all farmers, regardless of their size or location, government assistance and business sector investment are required.

Module 5 assignment _ Ehab Ghabra
Disinformation
https://twitter.com/Fella_IA_X25/status/1625594969913188399
The Russian/Ukraine war has been surrounded by disinformation. This is an excellent example
of disinformation regarding the war. The purpose of disinformation is to mislead the audience
that is consuming it with false information. A post linked to the post shows a Ukrainian soldier
dancing after being made to do so by members of his unit. Ultimately, this was done to make
Ukraine look bad, on top of all the corruption it had when it misused foreign aid funds for
personal use. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the man was captured by the
Russians, been used many times to make Ukraine look bad. This post would be a good
opportunity for readers to think rationally and ask themselves, why would soldiers be doing this
to their own team during a war as if they had the time, this would make it easy for them to see
that it is disinformation.
Misinformation
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/341832637_All-cause_mortality_during_COVID-19_N
o_plague_and_a_likely_signature_of_mass_homicide_by_government_response
During the rise of covid misinformation, "facts" were overshadowed by opinions. The Covid virus
was new at the time and nobody knew who to trust, so they began making up rumors about
everything they could about Covid-19, including who was responsible, the outcome, and the
causes of this disease. In this case, however, it was posted during the peak in 2020 and claimed
Covid was just a government-led mass murder, which many believed both then and now. In
general, misinformation is false or inaccurate information without any justification or backing,
which is exactly what this is. It is easy to see this by reading through the post and realizing that
there is no evidence to back their claim and that it is just someone's opinion that they are trying
to relay to the bulk of the population as a fact.
Mal-information
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/opinion-the-caq-s-secularism-bill-is-a-positive-step-fo
rward-1.5082104
According to this opinion piece posted on CBC, bill 21 was passed 3 years ago, and it prohibits
anyone in public education, government, and law enforcement from wearing religious symbols
while at work. The term mal-information refers to factual information that is misleading. It begins
by stating that public figures must remain neutral before diving into how immigrants are primarily
Muslims and how the Hijab is seen as a sign of "militant Islamic fundamentalism". When facts
and opinions are mixed, it is easy to be misled. Keeping things strictly factual, the article would
have discussed how Muslim women were targeted in prior bills that did not pass, so instead,
they grouped everyone together, placing a cross necklace on par with a hijab or turban. Due to
the writer's bias throughout the article aimed at one religion, which is extremely detrimental to
Muslims as many had to leave because of it, attentive readers can easily see this.

Module 3 Assignment _ CEDI100
I am a bit concerned about the Disconnect app it is monitoring and tracking our online activities without our knowledge or consent being given to the respected companies. I have seen a great deal of eye-opening experiences as a privacy and security advocate. It is both disturbing and unethical for the to sell our r personal data and sell it without any knowledge given. Disconnect encourages me, and my confidence in our privacy has been steadily increasing as apps like these come out knowing that there are tools available to protect our privacy. We are able to encrypt our data while blocking tracking scripts and domains using a browser extension or VPN service.
Through this, we can take immediate action in order to take control of this situation by downloading these types of extensions. In practicality, Disconnect works by showing you straight up who and what is tracking you and giving you a solution at the same time.In order to protect ourselves from unwanted data transfers we have to take steps such as this.
Learning about disconnect has taught me more about digital literacy furthering my knowledge. Today more than in the past we have to become more knowledgeable and learn about how tracking works and how big companies can steal our personal data for their own gain as technology evolves. We can become more informed and empowered as digital citizens by knowing what tools and services are available to us.
Disconnect is obviously not foolproof, however, it can still protect us from unwanted tracking and data collection, even though they market it as a one size fits all solution. There are still many potential threats and vulnerabilities outside of this that can compromise privacy and security online that must still be addressed. In order to minimize this I have updated my password making them stronger while constantly updating my software and have been avoiding suspicious websites.
Through learning about the Disconnect app, I have felt both empowered and humbled. It is important to recognize that we have much to learn when it comes to this space of privacy and digital literature by doing this we can then find tools at our disposal such as this one to help us be proactive and protect our online security.
