Tomeshells (aka just a lil guy): Considered 'vermin' by most accounts, these creatures inhabit discarded books like a crab does a shell. Generally passive, and with no clear function served or spoken.
Lurkers (The Security Guards): Large, Hulking fish-like oceanic beasts, their pure purpose is to act as guardians and whose sole existence is to dispatch any threats to Apocrypha. Little in the way of intelligence beyond that.
Seekers (The Librarians): Often silent tenders of Apocrypha, they are attuned to the wills and whims unspoken by The Great Eye. They are keepers and scribes, attending to the structure of the Realm and singularly focused upon their tasks. Attacking those that are threaten or disturb with powerful abilities to sap the life force of another. (Also the attend to the flora of Apocrypha just thought this was a neat lil fact)
Watchlings (The Workers): They are the messengers and the recorders, the most common Daedra of the One Who Knows that communicates freely with mortals. More intelligent and individual than others listed thus far, each seems to be different from one another while still loyal to the whims of their God. They seem to have jobs that can be called, in basic terms, 'clerical' or 'administrative' in mortal terms.
Watchers (The Guardians): Nearly identical to Watchlings other than size, Watchers act as overseers and guardians to the Great Eye. Often guarding those objects and knowledge of most concern, they can also be communicated with regarding certain info and dissuade mortals before violence is deemed necessary.
Did You Know: You were originally going to be able to choose to take Aela with you instead of Farkas during the quest Proving Honor? She would have given more informative answers to your questions about the conversation topics for that quest, like who the Silver Hand is.
tes ask! if you had to make a new spell for the elder scrolls series, what would it be?
we need those fucked up wizard loophole "it's not technically levitation" spells so bad. like I'm not levitating I'm just using telekinesis on my boots
It is with a heavy heart that I will not be, for the foreseeable future, producing any new content for Tastes of Tamriel. This is not a decision I have made lightly, but finding out my work is so blatantly ripped off has put me off creating any new content.
I'm sorry it's come to this, but not being acknowledged for all the hard work I do and seeing others profit from my effort and time is too much to handle on top of the current fiasco that is my life.
I will get round to replying to the last of the messages in my inbox, but will not be opening asks for worldbuilding/recipe request posts for a long time. DMs are still open if anyone would like to contact me.
the biggest problem with writing fantasy in english is that there's really no alternate universe phrasing that carries the exact tone and context to the reader as "jesus fucking christ"
And all together now!
I opened my ask box for names again. In March, I'll look in there and choose someone else! Planning to draw Azure, Boethiah, Mephala, Naryu Virian, Martin Septim and Cosades or Curio
if you want to start writing in the elder scrolls setting
uesp is your best friend now—it lists the entirety of most characters' dialogue and compiles every in-game lorebook into an easy-to-browse directory, among other things. it's been exceptionally well-kept for years and horrible ads will not jump out at you. just remember to check the footnotes before you take something stated in a particular article as gospel since some of the included information is extracanonical (i.e. sourced from developers' roleplays and personal projects) or, infrequently, speculation based on a misreading of a line of dialogue or questline event
there's a thriving community of people here who are primarily interested in the stories that people tell about their original characters so if you want to write about your dragonborn or nerevarine or hero of kvatch or ivarstead turnip farmer absolutely do that. there's an audience for that
