Welcome to our tastefully decorated large home in Colebrook! Nestled in the woodlands, this 2-acre retreat offers a tranquil escape for up to 12people. This is especially ideal during this Covid-19 Pandemic because it provides a safe secluded space for families. Relax in this secluded home-away-from-home with everything you need…  This stunning, comfortable property with 3 full floors comfortably sleeps 13 (with 2 additional possible in common areas) with an en-suite master bedroom with king-size bed and four large additional bedrooms with adjacent bathrooms and built-in closets. The mattresses are high end and extremely comfortable! Even the air mattresses provided for guests 12-15 are high end and very comfortable!  Featuring two family rooms with a 49” and 65” flat screen Smart TVs with cable, 4 couches and a gas fireplace with single-switch operation. We also offer complimentary Hulu, Netflix, and Disney+!  Kitchen is fully-equipped with appliances, a coffee machine and has an open adjacent dining space for 6 people with another table and 4 chairs on the first floor. Filter coffee provided. There’s a Vitamix as well as every cooking utensil and pot/pan you would need. The pantry is also stocked and you are welcome to help yourself to anything in it.  A beautiful outside wraparound deck with an outdoor grill and two picnic tables to seat up to 28 people. Connecticut’s largest picnic table (measuring 24 feet) also calls this property home and it will seat 20 guests comfortably! Check it out in the pictures!  Washer and dryer is next to en-suite master bathroom with iron and board available.  Fast Wi-Fi with a router dedicated for each floor of the house. The St. John Valley The crown of Maine , begins from Saint John Ponds and Little Saint John Lake. The Saint John Ponds are a chain of shallow lakes at the headwaters of the Baker Branch Saint John River in the North Maine Woods. The Baker Stream originates in Upper First Saint John Pond the stream then flows through Lower First Saint John Pond then to Second Saint John Pond, and Third Saint John Pond before entering into Fourth Saint John Pond then The outflow of Fourth St. John Pond flows into the Fifth St John Pond. The fifth pond is the largest of the chain ,Fifth St John Pond east to the North Branch of the Penobscot River The dam on the outlet of Fifth St John Pond raised the pond’s water level to an elevation which allowes the water to flow into the Penobscot River drainage. Little St. John Lake is a large, shallow body of,water located on the border separating Maine and Canada. This lake is 89 acres in size. When fishing, anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Yellow Perch. Most of the lake is less than two feet deep, with over one-half of the water surface area covered with emergent and floating aquatic vegetation. A thick layer of mud and organic material covers the bottom. The St. John River is known for its variety, and has terrific fishing for several great sport fish. Anglers will find bass, rainbow trout, brown trout, musky, sturgeon and brook trout. The St. John Valley Cultural Byway it stretches roughly 92 miles along Maine’s shared border with the Canadian provinces Quebec and New Brunswick. It starts in Allagash and runs along the St. John River to the town of Van Buren. St. John Valley is the tiny community of Allagash,There is one road leading in and out of the town, which is 30 miles west of Fort Kent. One only needs 30 – 45 minutes for a visit. The blockhouse consists of two-story structure. Its walls are built of square-hewn cedar logs, measure over 19 inches in width. The Heritage Trail This trail is about 16.9-mile, that links the towns of Fort Kent and St. Francis in far northern Maine.
