Day 001of Model Railroad Feb. 23th 2013:
Macro shot of one of the houses of my dad’s model railroad project.
He started creating a complete landscape (it’s not much yet as you can see on the second photo).
I’m going to help with building it too, a bit. ;) I plan to make a (sporadic) photo log of the happenings on it and to it to make it’s growth visible.
It will be a miniture of Austria around 1975.

Caption: “On October 6, 1962 EMD marked the production of their 25,000 locomotive. The event was at their McCook, Illinois plant. Roger Puta was there and took a few photos.”
1, 2, and 3: “W&A 3 4-4-0, the General, and a L&N combine were on display. The combine is clearly a Jim Crow car. Two sections divided by a baggage area.”
4: “EMD’s 25,000th locomotive was L&N 1014 seen here. An AT&SF gas-electric car is in the background.”
5: “EMD GP30 demonstrator 5639.”
