The first of the large bedrooms is Cheshire's.
Convincing her parents to let her paint the ceiling black is still one of Chesh's proudest achievements. She does have a desk with her own computer access up here so she and write and things with a little less interruption from her brothers.
Speaking of her brothers.
The twins' room:
Hal's got the top bunk, Jeri's got the bottom, and they've both got plenty of room to play and be creative!
(For gameplay I've had to change the beds to a normal bunk situation rather than the L-shape because no matter how I fiddled with placement, even removing the side table entirely, the game would not let Hal climb up into bed. Just know, in my heart, they have the L-shape bunks.)
All three kids share a bathroom.
It's a minor miracle Chesh hasn't killed her brothers yet. She has threatened it, it morbid detail. She did get in trouble, but they stopping peeing on a the floor after that, so she figures it was worth it.
At the end of the upstairs hallway an exterior door leads out to the balcony deck where Chesh and Jeri in particular like to stargaze.
The master bedroom:
This is Ross and Lula's little retreat in many ways, and it has a very well appointed closet.
Accessible from the master bedroom is a small cozy nursery.
Then, of course, there's Ross and Lula's real sanctuary, the master bathroom:
A ladder in the master bedroom leads up to the small attic, which Lula has claimed as a potion making space.
Then there's outside!
The garden and greenhouse:
The swimming hole:
Note the fire pit off to the right.
And, lastly, the kid's play yard.
Plenty of room for a large and eclectic family to explore their many interests!
The Rutherford house
The Rutherford family live on a sprawling homestead on the edge of Whispering Glen in Ravenwood.
Starting with the ground floor:
The front door is situated on abroad front porch that wraps around one side of the house.
On that porch are a couple work tables and, as you can see, the boys have been playing hopscotch.
From the front door, one enters the large welcoming foyer, with plenty of storage for coats and things, a table for mail, and a nice bench for putting on shoes.
Next from the foyer is the main downstairs hall where the family have situated a lovely piano. A broad, striking staircase leads to the upper floor and door hides the stairs down to the basement.
Off this main hall is the combined livingroom and raised kitchen.
This is the main hangout space for the family (at least indoors).
A secondary hallway also leads off the main hall.
The righthand door off the secondary hallway leads to what is best described as a seance room.
This is what happens when a goth teenager has a witch for a mother and a dad who's happy to do reno work.
The middle door at the end of the hallway leads to the one downstairs bathroom.
That shower is handy for when garden work or the simple realities of having three kids mean somebody could use to be cleaned up with out tracking whatever mess they've gotten into all the way upstairs.
The third and final door to the left off the hallway leads to the study.
A calm, quiet room for reading and research--and playing the Sims forever, of course. With a family of five (and maybe more in the future) having more than one computer is a must.
As you can see above, the study has an exterior door, which leads to the back porch.
This is where Lula does her flower arranging, and also where the family apiary is situated.
The basement stairwell off the main hall is where the fusebox and fire safety system control are housed.
The basement itself has workout space, a sauna, the household laundry facilities, and the water heater.
Heading upstairs now!
The upstairs hall has a small sitting area.
(Hi there, Hal.)
We shall explore the bedrooms in a reblog as I've hit the image limit.

Next up, Hal's twin brother--
Jericho
The boys may be identical twins, but they're quite different. Jeri is more bashful than his brother, and also more interested in art and video games than boisterous and athletic Hal.
And last but not least...
Family dog, Lady Rutherford
Introducing the Rutherford family!
A lovely family of 5 + the beloved family dog.
Starting with dad Ross!
Ross is an outdoorsy fellow, practical, a loving husband, good dad, and the main homemaker of the family.
Next up, mom of the family, Lula!
Lula is a magic user and outdoorsy like her husband, a bit of a flower witch, you could say. She works as a secret agent handler, befitting her responsible nature, and can often be picked out of a crowd by her signature blue hat.
Ross and Lula met young, married quickly, and have worked hard to build a life for themselves and their children in Ravenwood. They're happy to support their kids' diverse interests but hope at least one of them will want to keep up the family homestead when, some day in the future, Lula and Ross are gone.
Now, on to the kids!
Eldest child, big sister Cheshire.
Known affectionately as Chesh, the oldest of the Rutherford kids is a pink-and-black goth with a fascination for the macabre and a life's goal of honing many skills.
Then there's her twin little brothers, Halifax and Jericho.
Halifax
Hal is a rather rambunctious and quite outgoing kid, seems to take after his dad a fair bit.

More Willow Creek Renovations!
Next door to the library is a gym.
Here's the before:
Now, I do actually like the shape of this build and the idea that these are two old shops that got converted into one as the neighborhood evolved. So! I decided to just renovate the gym rather than rebuild it.
So here's the after:
Brightened up with some siding over the brick on part of the front for a punch of color. The exterior wall facing the library is all set up to become a community mural project!
Top floor:
Originnally, the second floor was weirdly empty and just kind of wasted space other than the locker room. The locker room got a revamp, most of the room got turned into a hangout and refreshment lounge with vending machines, and part of the floor is now a yoga studio. The porch balcony outside the yoga room is now a meditation space!
First floor:
We've got weight machines and rockwalls in one of the two ground floor rooms, and a bank of treadmills in the other set up so you can witch TV while you run. The sad empty patio out back now has a garden space with punching bags and a hotspring bath.
The gym is now a much for functional and pleasant community space, somewhere I'd actually want to bring my sims.

Willow Creek Renovations
I started with the library!
As a reminder, this is what the Willow Creek library looks like originally:
I decided to build a whole new library from the ground up.
Two full stories plus a functional attic/small third floor! The roofing took forever but I'm happy with how it turned out.
First floor:
Complete with back porch!
The second floor:
A lot of the room on the second floor is taken up by an open mezzanine space looking down on the first floor, which also allows for that big landscape art piece to be a centerpiece for both levels.
The third floor/attic:
The third floor is a little bit of a makers' space as well as a place to hang out!
And that's the new Willow Creek library!

(From the last time I was playing, now updated with the pics I didn't have on hand when I initially posted.)
It’s Love Day! So Eric is flirting with strangers on the sidewalk after work, having a grand old time. Then Wolfgang invited him to karaoke so naturally he’s going. At karaoke Eric met some guy named Salim, got real flirty with him, and by the end of the night they were boyfriends. Things sure do move fast in the sims.
Muffins just had kittens?! I don’t know when she crossed paths with a tomcat. Well now we have twin kittens, Candy and Coco.
And now Irena is befriending the grim reaper because of course she is—no, nobody died. She summoned him like the good goth girl she is.
Every time Eric and Salim try to go for drinks, Salim immediately has to leave. It’s pretty irritating. But! Salim finally came over to the Rivulet house and he and Eric got it on while Irena and Mara were at work and school respectively.

It’s move in day for the Rivulet family! How did two 29-something’s and their teen sister afford this house? Don’t worry about it! Where are their parents? Don’t worry about it! First thing’s first, let’s get Irena and Eric jobs….
Irena’s got a gig as an Amateur entertainer, meanwhile Eric is going into Business.
I couldn’t find Muffins for a minute there, turns out she’s inside the cabinets.
Neighbors came to greet the Rivulets and stayed rather late.
In the morning, Irena made breakfast for her siblings! She discovered she likes cooking.
Seriously, this cat loves this cabinet.
Mara is off to high school, and Irena and Eric are headed to work.
Mara came home with a school project and, good brother that he is, Eric sat down to help her work on it.
The next day, Eric got promoted to Office Assistant. We’re all very proud of him.
Mara did a good job with her project (thanks Eric!) and her grades got a boost!
Eric blew the whistle on some embezzlement and got fired—maybe business isn’t the field for him anyway. After taking a day to process the drama, he’s gotten a new job as a substitute teacher. And some vampire chick named Lilith just stopped by the house who he’s making friends with.
Eric briefly caught himself on fire and is no longer allowed to cook.

The upstairs common area
Irena's room--she claimed oldest sibling privileges to snag the master
Irena's bathroom
Eric's room
Mara's room
Their shared bathroom
And the attic bonus room
That's the whole upstairs, and that's the whole house!
Rivulet House Tour!
The Rivulets live in a lovely 2-story + attic. Let's go inside....
Foyer
Open living and dining room
The kitchen--no, Muffins is not supposed to be on the counter. She does not care.
The downstairs bathroom is a bit tight and hard to get pictures in, but it is a full bath!
The study, where Mara has already claimed her preferred seat at the chess board
An additional room downstairs that could be another office or, if you really wanted, a bedroom, but the Rivulets are using it as a workout room
The deck
And that's the whole downstairs!
Upstairs will be coming in a reblog

I’ve been watching sims build videos on YouTube lately and I have learned things which are getting applied to the Rivulet family house.
I think the house is finished as of tonight. I’ll take screenshots next time I pull it up after making sure I haven’t forgotten anything important.
