Sometimes I see dresses from high fashion and it’s like yeah they’re detailed and pretty but there’s no like Emotion, yknow? And I was just wondering if you had any pieces or designers that you like that just have like an inherit personality ? Thanks!!
I want to start by apologizing because this has been sitting in my inbox for weeks now! Work has gotten a little crazy for me, but it’s also allowed me to really ruminate over this. Of course, fashion is subjective and everyone sees designers and their work differently, so my thoughts might not be what you’re looking for!
You’re definitely right that there are plenty of dresses and collections that are just a parade of pretty gowns. I think having a distinct theme for a collection helps any designer allow their pieces to come to life as well as abandoning the idea that everything must be ‘red carpet ready’. For me, Alexander McQueen (mostly the collections when he was alive...so until 2010) and John Galliano’s tenure at Dior are the two designers that have always given me great themes. These were the two names that immediately came to mind when I thought about your question. Their collections have always had specific themes or distinct inspirations and their runway shows were always so immersive and allowed viewers to be transported to another world, which was always tied everything together. McQueen typically paid homage to the UK and its history by weaving various eras and traditions into his dresses, which Galliano had an eye for blending dramatic designs with vintage Dior. No one has done runway shows the way McQueen and Galliano did.
(Alexander McQueen: Fall 2006 & Fall 2008)
(John Galliano for Dior: Fall 2005 & Fall 2008)
Nowadays, Iris van Herpen (she’s more avant garde, though) and Guo Pei have very distinct collections that are vastly different from season to season. Iris van Herpen is known for blending science/technology with fashion. Some of her dresses aren’t the most conventional or wearable, but her ‘Sensory Seas’ collection has left a mark on my mind. Guo Pei initially blended her Chinese heritage into her collections and it was something I always appreciated because it showed the world that you could make high fashion while still incorporating facets of traditional Chinese culture. Pei has branched out these days but her collections are unlike anything out there and someone could show me a piece from a random collection and I’d know it was from Guo Pei. That’s how much personality she can infuse into a collection.
(Iris van Herpen: Spring 2019 & Spring 2020)
(Guo Pei: Couture Showcase & Spring 2016)
I also want to give Zuhair Murad an honorary mention. In recent years I’ve seen a shift from the endless parade of gorgeous gowns to collections that have a cohesive theme and having each season different from the last. I’m probably a little biased, since I love 99% of what he puts out, but I’ve found myself excited every year when he builds worlds with his collection - whether it’s the Egyptian theme of Spring 2020 to the under the sea of Spring 2019 or the tribute to Marrakech in Fall 2019. His tribute to Imperial Russia in 2018 was when I noticed the shift and it’s still one of my favorite collections today.
(Zuhair Murad: Fall 2018 & Spring 2020)
These are the four designers (five if you count Murad) I think of that have produced pieces that can evoke emotion or stay true to a story/theme. But like I said, everyone sees designers differently, so I’d love to hear other opinions on this! And thank you so much for your patience!

so does anyone else ever think about the level of post-war wizarding celebrity the Weasley-Potters would have had? like
this is an entire family of war heroes that also contains the chosen one, two heads of Ministry departments, the Minister for Magic herself, a professional Quidditch player and later editor at the Prophet, an extremely successful wizard entrepreneur, an international curse-breaker, an ex-Triwizard champion, and an eminent dragonologist and they definitely all hold an Order of Merlin of one class or another
you can’t tell me they weren’t featured in wizarding papers and magazines every damn week they try to avoid it but it’s no use
trying to go to Quidditch matches or anywhere really as a family is a tricky business because of the paparazzi
eating Chocolate Frogs is a weird experience for all their kids because their family are on so many cards like ‘oh look i got Uncle Charlie again’ ‘here’s Aunt Ginny, I’m still missing Mum though’
Bill keeps being given Witch Weekly’s most charming smile award he’s won it like 9 times even with all his scars. one time Ron won it instead and he teased Bill about it for ages
a good portion of the people who rock up to George’s shop come not just for joke items but also to shake his hand (and later Ron’s) and pay tribute to the portrait of Fred that hangs in there
there’s a Hermione interview in the Prophet at least twice a week. if anything vaguely significant happens ever in wizarding politics everyone wants a comment from Hermione, even if it has nothing to do with her
George loves making up wild rumours about his family members and ‘leaking’ them to the press, like when he told them Percy and Fleur were having a passionate affair (this one backfired a bit because it was shortly before Percy’s actual divorce. the public excitement and interest was nothing compared to what happened later when it got out that Percy was seeing Oliver Wood, and then there was another professional Quidditch player in the family and it just got worse)
Harry finds it weirdly comforting that the wizarding world is now obsessed not just with him, but his extended family too - they all get it now
all the kids get hounded towards the end of the year because everyone at Hogwarts want to be invited to the Burrow (very heavily warded and impenetrable to the press) for the summer to witness the annual Weasley-Potter family Quidditch match, which is legendary
if there’s no new gossip the magazines just put in stuff like ‘recipes from the Burrow! Molly Weasley’s favourite dishes! how to feed a family of heroes!’’ or ‘losing track? here’s the Ultimate Guide to the Weasley-Potter family!’
it’s ridiculous

the humans by matt haig
i highly recommend this one to all you book nuts out there. especially if you're a crumpled up 19 year old who thinks about everything and nothing, every second of the day and feels like they're a galaxy away from home while laying on the couch of their living room.

Sometimes, you just have to say "fuck it" and start romanticizing the hell out of your own life.
• Studying? Listen to aesthetic music and drink your favourite hot beverage with determination.
• Taking a walk? Stop to pick flowers with the intention of drying or hanging them later.
• Reading? Go to an obscure coffee shop and dress mysterious so as to capture the attention of beautiful people only to vanish without a trace.
Steal all the traits and hobbies of your ideal partner or adventure buddy™. Become the person you've been missing in your life and learn how to love the world again.

academia aesthetics by university major
Literature
Losing yourself in whimsy, drifting somewhere parallel to reality. Passionate, frenzied writing in the heart of the night. Drinking the moonlight. Love letters lost between moments. Birdsong. Quiet looks, filled with meaning. Opinions you don’t speak out loud. Chopin’s Nocturnes.
Classics
A glint in the eye, like they know something you don’t. Books in different languages, scattered across every surface. Red wine, and blood, and secrets. Spirits stirred by the glorious weight of eras past, tongue heavy with the words of dead men. Marble busts of Greek philosophers. Reality dulling against the music of myth.
Philosophy
Milky tea and introspective mornings. Sun filtering gently into a quiet room. Reading in nature, sinking into the sound of the wind, birds or water. Margins filled with annotations. Long, grand hallways and the echo of footsteps. Conversations that last for hours, but feel like minutes.
Sciences
Notebooks filled with scattered calculations, terms, and theories, partnered with small pieces of flora and miscellaneous clippings. ‘Eureka’ moments. Wild eyes and chewed lips. Lying awake all night, your head buzzing with ideas. Piles of meticulous notes. Hunching over desks in dim lamplight. The feeling of puzzle pieces fitting together. The smallness of humanity, and the vastness of existance.
Fine Art/Art History
Huge, baroque ballrooms with renaissance paintings on the ceilings. Staring up at them until the real world dissolves and the images spin around you. Early spring. Foxes in the snow. Classical music. Vintage teacups, and slow blinks. Laughter covered by fingers. Dancing where no-one can see you.
Political Science
Fast strides and black coffee. Enthusiastic debates with peers, and discussions with your professor. Pages and pages of notes, scrawled so hastily they’re almost illegible. Running through the night, laughing with friends and going places you shouldn’t. A cunning smile from across a room.
History
Grand old buildings, shadowed with age and brimming with secrets. Old, rusty daggers. Tentative hands and determined eyes. Fingers stained with nicotine and ink. Old books and letters, shrouded in dust, that no-one’s read in a hundred years. Touching the pages, and understanding what it was to be alive in another time, seeing what they saw and feeling what they felt.
(dm to request a major for part two)

i just want to see and explore things on my own, feel the sun on my skin with closed eyes, think of beach days with sand in my hair, cycle down a hill, let the air blow against my face, go to cozy coffee shops with lots of pillows, journal in the park, hear kids laughing and having the time of their lives, buy new plants and give them names, drink tea on rainy days while listening to vinyl records in my room full of lit candles and fairy lights, take polaroid pictures and hang them up my wall, visit an art museum to observe other people (because they are art), listen to the street musicians, sit in a bus and see the beautiful world. this earth offers so many possibilities and i want to fall in love with all of them.

If you want success you will have to give up the verb “to want”.
Because you will not want to get up at 4:00 am, I certainly don’t. I love sleeping. It’s comfortable. But that’s the thing: comfort kills success, it kills ambition, it kills dreams. You won’t have a sparkling new desire to give up all that junk food that you love and switch it for a salad and an hour at the gym. It will not be ideal for you to wake up, go to college and then come back at the dorm and study some more. You won’t like the idea of studying more than anybody and neglect your friends. You will not want to be alone and work for something you have no guarantee it will happen. But you will HAVE TO if you want to be the best. If you want to take that little chance of being one of the greatest people, you will havr to give up all those things.
I mean if you wanna be mediocre, average, then do your thing. Sleep in, miss classes, don’t do your homework, be lazy, hang out with your friends, lose time over cheap things that won’t get you any advantage in the future. BUT, it’s a big BUT, if you truly want to shine, to be that person you dream of becoming, then WAKE UP! SHOW UP! LOSE SOME SLEEP! WORK MORE! Because time doesn’t wait for you. It won’t quietly sit in a chair waiting for your lazy incapable ass.
It’s your SINGLE life, are you going to waste it?

Okay so I could definitely do with some more queer rep from Sanderson but I will say that I love the richness and complexity of his characters and the fuck that they almost all say ‘fuck you’ to writing gender roles.
‘Strong women’ doesn’t mean ‘woman punches loads of things and is badass’ it means a rich variety, of complex women who are each strong in their own way.
Vin, the street-urchin and constant survivor, whose strength comes as she grows and actually learns, in so many ways, to outgrow that ‘strong woman’ archetype. She learns to be soft. She learns to embrace her feminine side. She learns vulnerability, and love, and trust, and she grows into a better, stronger person for it.
Marasi who finds her strength in knowledge, and in loving herself for the things she can do, instead of loving the idolised version of herself who has all the things she wishes she could do. Who learns to stop revering and living in a man’s shadow, and steps out to cast her own.
Steris who is a canonly autistic woman who is never forced to be ‘normal’, in any sense of the word. The characters around her learn to read her, to understand her, and they fall in love with the woman that she is because of her quirks, because of her differences, because of her autism, and not in spite of it.
Shallan who was a sheltered, naive young abuse victim, with very obvious PTSD and anxiety who has undergone an incredible, uneven recovery journey. She has found herself, her voice, her independence, and her agency. But she is also learning how to accept what has happened to her instead of hiding from it, to heal and grow while retaining her wit, her drawing, and her smile.
Jasnah who, frankly, couldn’t care less about people’s expectations when it comes to her. Her mind is her own, and her strength comes from knowing herself, and refusing to compromise that self even when it goes against her entire culture and society. A woman who presents a composed, cold, blunt face to the world and is allowed to, and is never undermined or ‘thawed’. She is who she is, and that’s final.
Navani as a mother, a wife, a lover, in many ways the embodiment of traditional roles for a female character over a certain age. But she’s also a scholar, an engineer, an inventor, a visionary. A woman who knows what she wants, and inevitably finds a way of getting it. A woman who has deep loves and passions, and pursues them, but never loses sight of the merit of logic and order.
Vivenna, who grew up with the knowledge that she was to be a sacrifice for her people, that her pain and happiness were as nothing compared to her duty. A woman who grew up with deeply rooted prejudices, and a naive, ignorant view of the world. She grew up, she learned her own mind, and followed it to the ends of her earth and into another, where she came to lead men in battle in a notoriously misogynistic/gender-role based society.
Siri the dreamer, the free spirit, who learned that she didn’t have to be like her sister, and didn’t have to ascribe to the things expected of her to have value, and worth, and power. Who becomes a queen in her own right, and matures into a powerful woman who refuses to accept life on any but her own terms.
It’s a common enough critique that female characters get stuffed into one mould that’s described as ‘strong’ and that’s it. Which is almost as limiting and stifling as the traditional expectations of female characters. But tbh I love what he does with his male characters and the complexity and rejection of typical masculinity there, too.
Elend who grew up under the thumb of an abusive father and an oppressive system, but still had the softness, and the hope to dream of building something better. Who was more than comfortable having his wife protect him, and having everyone know that, who took pride in Vin, without ever once having it be hinted as some sort of slight to his masculinity. Who was able to accept the correction and guidance of another woman everyone else scorned and ignored who helped shape him into a better king, and a better man.
Sazed who was portrayed both as the gentle, reserved scholar, but also a rebel and an instigator, who went against his people to build a better world. Someone who was presented as rational, and calm, and arguably nonbinary, and mostly shuns pretty every typically ‘masculine’ trope in the book.
Kelsier who had the fairly typical ‘dead wife, revenge plot’ story, but that was explored in a thoroughly atypical way tbh. A man full of darkness who insisted upon fighting with a smile, and encouraged others to do the same. Cocky, and arrogant, and selfish was balanced by a little flash of sentiment, the hope for a new world, and the picture of a flower he carried with him to remind him what they fought for.
Adolin who’s regarded as one of the best swordsmen in the world, but who talks to his weapon before battle and thanks it for serving him. He wears his mother’s necklace as a good luck charm in battle, and goes against cultural expectations by being physically affectionate with the people he loves. Also has a keen interest in fashion he refuses to be ashamed of, and while his actions characterise him as a womaniser, his thoughts/behaviours display his dissatisfaction with that, and his desire for stability. Also very emotionally aware of those around him, and takes care to look after them when he reads them being in trouble.
Dalinar’s honestly fascinating journey from a bloodthirsty, violent soldier, to a depressed, traumatised alcoholic, to a struggling general, a hero of mankind, and then again struggling with PTSD is honestly so well-written. This man is literally a military legend, renowned for his prowess in war and we see him, in the course of the series: give away a legendary blade that is literally more valuable than kingdoms for the lives of a group of slaves, and consider it a genuinely good deal as he’s learned that all lives are precious. Struggle with very obvious flashbacks and panic attacks as a result of war trauma. Meekly align himself with distinctly feminine things to quietly support his son and stop him feeling awkward.
Renarin, who is a canon autistic character, who cannot be a soldier in a distinctly war-driven society, and is allowed to explore that, to feel bitterness and frustration with his condition. But who is also slowly starting to learn, with the support of his family, that there are different kinds of strength, and that they love him and are proud of him even if he can’t march into battle at the head of their armies. Who is allowed to stim openly, who is largely accepted for his differences, and is defended fiercely on the occasion that he’s not. Who is a goddamn super hero in this world, and is a massively progressive piece of honest autistic representation, in which he is not a character with autism, but an autistic character.
Kaladin who is honestly one of the most visceral, honest portrayals of depression I’ve seen in a fictional character. Who still, three books on, suffers from depressive episodes, who acknowledges that this kind of thing sometimes doesn’t just go away, or get better, that it’s always there, somewhere, and he fights it, and keeps fighting it, with the help and acceptance of those around him. Who is also a goddamn super hero who is warned by his surgeon-father that he’ll have to grow calluses, that he can’t care so deeply about his patients. Who becomes a soldier to support his younger brother, and tries to strike the balance between killing and protection, and to deal with his soft heart that has never truly hardened.
Male characters that have genuine, honestly explored mental illnesses, insecurities, and who are frequently depicted crying, and otherwise being allowed to freely show and explore their emotions and honestly, i could say a hell of a lot more but this is quite long enough so that’s enough of that.

“The things I’ve learned over the year have been a lot about myself, and who I am as a manager, who I am with navigating complicated politics and situations, but also what motivates me. And I’ve learned that I like a fight. I don’t want to be in a situation where things are going well. I don’t feel like I have anything to do in that case. In the ER, it’s the patient dying in front of me. It’s someone who is gravely ill, and my fight is the fight to save their life. I see the same thing in Baltimore. There are so many problems. There are so many fights I can have every single day. It’s the fight to get health on every agenda, to change legislation, to change public perception and mindset, to reduce stigma, to introduce new programs in a time of severe fiscal constraints. I like a fight, and I’m good at it, and that is what motivates me.”

This is my entry for the HTTYD Discover Your Duo Contest! Hiccup and Astrid have always been my OTP. They really exemplify a healthy romantic relationship, and I really appreicate that about them. When coming up with the idea, I realized that there is really no place better for them then in the sky, where they first ‘fell in love’. Which is also why I put in the northern lights. Berk in the background represents their home, even though it’s gone now, the responsibilities to their people follow them. But when they are together, they can put those obligations away, and just be. And of course, the duo are best represented by their dragons, Toothless and Stormfly. I had SO much fun with this piece. It was just an absolute joy to work on. Except, for all the hiccups (no pun intended) Right in the middle, My computer went into a coma, so I had to go into work off hours, and use that photoshop (which was missing all of my brushes) to finish it. (I’m actually on my work computer right now uploading this.) Thankfully, my boyfriend was tweaking it at intervals, so I had a somewhat recent file to use. All in all, I’m thrilled with the way it turned out. It’s everything I ever wanted!

100 reasons to ship Jonerys
NOTE: Before beggining this list we want to wish everyone here a (late) Happy New Year! May we have a blessed year, full of fanfics, shippers and fanarts, just as we had in the previous year, and God bless our ship!
Ok before we begin, friendly advice, let the anthem of our ship play while reading:
youtube
Let’s begin!
1. Both started off as the underestimated sibling and were abused in some way by a member of their family.
Jon by Catelyn, for being Ned’s bastard, and also a little rejected by some of his siblings, and Dany by Viserys who used her as a pawn.
2. Both want to protect people.
And they DO protect people.
3. And hate unnecessary violence.
“The blood of my enemies, not the innocents.”
“Thousands of men don’t need to die.”
4. Their people believe in them and chose them to lead.
5. Both of their mothers died giving birth to them, and both definitely suffer from the lack of motherly love.
6. Both have badass pets
7. Both were believed to be extinct
8. Both their families experienced a downfall
9. Them being the last ones of the Targaryens that remained alive and just so happens they are similar age, straight or bi (looking at u Dany) and opposite sexes.
10. Both felt extremaly lonely throughout their stories, even when they found partners.
“Even with Ygritte sleeping beside him, he felt alone. “ - Jon’s POV in ASOS,
“Her captain slept beside her, yet she was alone.” - Dany’s POV in ADWD,
11. Both faced many struggles with power, they’re in critical points at the end of the fifth book, he is assasinated and she is kidnapped by the Dothraki after an attack in the Pits.
12. Both can’t have children for different reasons. He swore a vow, she has a curse.
13. Dany dreamed about Jon.
“Sometimes she would close her eyes and dream of him, but it was never Jorah Mormont she dreamed of; her lover was always younger and more comely, though his face remained a shifting shadow.” - Dany’s POV in ASOS,
“For the rest of his life –however long that might be– he would be condemned to be an outsider, the silent man standing in the shadows who dares not speak his true name.” - Jon’s POV in AGOT,
14. She saw the shadow of a wolf in her tent when she was giving birth to Rhaego.
“Inside the tent the shapes were dancing, circling the brazier and the bloody bath, dark against the sandsilk, and some did not look human. She glimpsed the shadow of a great wolf, and another like a man wreathed in flames.”
I wonder what man has been seen in the flames by a certain lady and happens to have a great wolf.
15. And she heard a wolf howling after the chapter Jon died in, while she was across the narrow sea.
“Off in the distance, a wolf howled. The sound made her feel sad and lonely, but no less hungry.” - Dany’s POV in ADWD
16. And saw a winter rose growing from a chunk of ice in her vision, when Jon’s mother has been linked to blue roses a lot, and that’s the flower Rhaegar gave her at the infamous tourney.
“A blue flower grew from a chink in a wall of ice, and filled the air with sweetness… . mother of dragons, bride of fire … “ - Dany’s POV, ACOK,
“The light of the half-moon turned Vals honey-blond hair a pale silver and left her cheeks as white as snow. She took a deep breath. The air tastes sweet.” - Jon’s POV, ADWD,
17. Jon is fascinated with Targaryens, the first one he mentions in the books is a very young conqueror.
18. Both burned their first loves’ bodies after watching them die in their arms.
19. They are both forced to adapt to more primal cultures. Both were also kidnapped by those respective communities.
20. And end up leading them.
21.In season one’s finale Dany emerges from fire, while Jon passes through a wall of ice, and that’s when their stories change. Also oth were reborn in season 6, one in the cold north, the other in flames, in Essos
22. Despite being the underestimated one, Jon is said to have more of the North in him than his trueborn brothers . And Dany ends up being the dragon, so the ultimate Targaryen and Valyrian instead of Viserys.
23. Both struggle to find their place in the world.
24. Both think the leader should be willing to risk their life for their people.
“What kind of a queen am I, if I’m not willing to risk my life to fight them?” “Will your men want to fight for you, when they head you wouldn’t fight for them?”
25. Dany thinks Jon is “quite a man.”
26. Their meeting was the most anticipated thing in the whole series
27. They meet when both of them are at the peak of their power and after dealing with a rebellion and taking back their house seat back.
28. And Jon was absolutely stunned by her, as Kit strongly suggested.
29. They surprised each other, they weren’t what neither of them expected.
30. He understood that she has a good, gentle heart and knew she was better than Cersei since the beginning.
31. He needs her help and he needs and wants her to trust him.
32. Dany lets him mine the dragonglass, even if he didn’t accept her as his queen yet and it gives her no benefits.
33. Sha has thrown his statements back at him, one time word to word, without even knowing.
34. She asked him for advice and followed HIS advice, even though there were other trusted people around her.
35. He knew that she did impossible things, and trusts that he will make many more impossible things happen
36. He cooled her down (stopped her from burning the Red Keep).
37. Dany’s dragon-baby let Jon pet him, and she was clearly turned on amazed by that.
38. Jon is jealous of Jorah.
39. She’s grown used to him
40. Dany is interested in him taking a knife in the heart for his people.
41. And is shocked, heartbroken when she sees the scars.
42. He thinks that “she is not like everyone else.”
43. Jon trusted that Dany would come and save him above anyone else.
44. She was worried for him.
45. And he for her.
46. He put his trust in her
47. And she did not fail him
48. “Get out of the way that’s my wife.”
49. She acted like a teenage girl when Tyrion told her that Jon is in love with her
50. He didn’t want to bend the knee to any other queen than her.
51. He loves her for who she is and doesn’t care if she is not able to have children.
52. He is the first to question her infertility and give her hope, because he sees how much she wants to have chuldren.
53. He sees past her queenly behaviour and he sees Dany.
54. She chose to sail with him, despite the risks.
55. Jon Snow made the first move.
56. And Daenerys Targaryen did not reject him.
57. He didn’t want to father any bastard children, and he believed that she can get pregnant, but he still went to her
58. She was sitting at his side, waiting for him to wake up while he was unconscious
59. Jon took her hand to comfort her while she was crying.
60. Togethter they would be difficult to defeat, and a marriage makes sense
61. He knows how much the dragons mean to her.
62. And he is sorry that Viserion died, thinking it was his fault.
63. He bent the knee to her, because he saw her for what she is and because he wanted to, not because he had to.
When she saved his life, he saw what she risked. For him. What she was willing to do for her ally, that didnt even want to bend the knee!
64. And Dany hoped that she deserves it
She HOPED that she deserved it. She actually meant to OBLIGATE Jon to bend the knee. That is how much Jon’s personality changed her.
65. He assured her that he does
He KNEW that she did deserve it, she saved his life after all.
66. And called her his queen
Like, how cute is that?
67. And called her Dany
HOW CUTE IS THAT??
68. Jon sacrificed himself to save Dany, her dragon and everyone else .
That is such a Jon-ish thing to do. Talking about ‘’undercover Jon’’ over here, well UCJ would’ve probably climbed first and save his life, not caring about anyone else. Oh wait, that’s not JON!
69. Jon waited for her to come from her battle.
He was actually WORRIED, everyone.
70. And Dany did the same
She was MORE than worried. She literally refused to leave, or give up hope on Jon.
71. Daenerys Targaryen let him be on top in the bedroom.
Y E S she did THAT!!!!!
72. They always refer to themselves by saying “Together”.
Do I even need to explain?
73. That Dany will probably be pregnant in the next season
Like dont come @ us, there are too many references to pregnancy and children.
74. The natural attraction between Targaryens, and how the last dragon was also attracked to a Stark.
Like, Ice and Fire, everyone. Or maybe more fire than ice.
75. The war started with Lyanna and Rhaegar.
Robert never accepted that his fiancee might be in love with someone else. That started a war, and both Lya and Rhaegar died.
76. Dany and Jon who were paralleled with them will end it.
‘’Together.’’
77. Dany being everything Ygritte never was.
Ygritte was uneducated and was the opposite of everything Jon didn’t believe in. He was forced, at least at first, to act as she said - while Daenerys is a true lady and never forced Jon into doing anything-
78.And Jon being everything Drogo never was.
Drogo was pretty much a savage and a cold blooded killer, slaver, raper, you name it. He also was the opposite of everything Dany believed in. And there we have Jon. He values honor and honesty. He respects women and saved those who were being raped in Craster’s Keep.
79. This moment that wasn’t in the script, but Kit and Emilia “understood the importance of [the scene]” and chose to do it.
Honestly, look at them. And people say that the actors are ‘’grossed out’’ by the ship??
80. Both can fullfill the “Prince that was Promised” prophecy.
You know, both Melisandre and Kinvara said it. Would you contradict it?
81. And Melisandre says that “she brought ice and fire togethter”, which was “her part.”
That says a lot, doesn’t it?
82. Dany is associated with the moon, her hair, being called “the moon of my life”, the whole “dragons come from the moon” thing and Jon is obviously evreything that Starks represent, most of a Stark of his siblings. So a wolf and the moon.
“The white wolf raced through a black wood, beneath a pale cliff as tall as the sky. The moon ran with him, slipping through a tangle of bare branches overhead, across the starry sky.” - Jon’s POV, ADWD
83. THE WAY THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER.
84. They’re destined for each other.
Their first meeting was called “A Date with Destiny” in additional HBO material.
“If destiny has brought Daenerys Targaryen back to our shores, it has also made Jon Snow King in the North.“
“[GRRM] said something: That it really is all about Dany and Jon. I was surprised because at the time, you know, I thought, well Robb Stark’s going to be king next, probably,” he continued. “And who knows where this story’s going? But it was absolutely clear to him that within this sprawling scale the whole story was coming down to this partnership.”
85. While in Essos, she thinks how she would have married her brother’s son, Aegon, if he had lived.
“… but the Usurper’s dogs had murdered her brother’s son when he was still a babe at the breast. If he had lived, I might have married him. “ - Dany’s POV in ADWD,
86. He wishes for a dragon or three, not knowing the person who has them is his soulmate.
“He might as well wish for another thousand men, and maybe a dragon or three.“ Jon’s POV, ASOS
87. “A Targeryen alone in the world is a terrible thing.”
88. While Dany’s story parallels the one of Henry VII Tudor, Jon’s resembles the one of Elizabeth of York. The two ended the Wars of The Roses by marriage. GRRM admittedly does take inspiration from that war. Henry’s sigil was a red dragon, Elizabeth’s was a white dog, when Jon is the only one to have a white wolf sigil as a ‘bastard’.
89. Henry’s rose was the red one, Elizabeth’s was the white one aaaand…

90. They’re connected to the symbol that foreshadows the balance between good and evil, the other side being the Night King and his army. Full meta on it here, reading the comments there advised.
91. “Both are trying to right wrongs committed in the past by their ancestors,
Dany is fighting slavery with her dragons, where once upon a time the Valyrians used their dragons to enslave people. Jon is trying to bring the Wldinglings back into Westeros while once upon a time it was the north lead by the Stark’s that left the Wildlings beyond the wall and kept them there.” (this one was written by @oadara in her meta, amazingly put!)
92. Both have always chosen duty over love.
Jon left Ygritte, Dany decided to marry Hizdahr even though she wanted Daario in the books, and left him behind in the show. Which makes them finally choosing love so moving and powerful.
93. He brought up her soft side we haven’t seen for so long.
94. He made her laugh, when was the last time we saw that?
95. He smiled when she did, so happy to have cheered her up.
96. They are very often the two to be put in photoshoots, game loading page, CD covers and stuff like that, plus Stark and Targaryen are the houses that are also often put together.
97.
98. Their love theme. It’s just breathtaking.
99. He loves her and she loves him.
100. They’re Ice and Fire and the ones trying to save the world. And they will do it together.

First semester has been really challenging for me, and I’ve found it difficult to find time to just sit down and draw. A friend told me that instead of hoping you’ll find time someday, you have to make time yourself to do things you love.
