Client just came to check out the ranch and despite having the cheapest prices w nicest accomodations south of lumiose this lady looked at me and said i "wasnt right" to look after her illumise. Me and dante have been laughing abt it for the past hour. Was it my homoesexual swagger. Or the pink hair (dyed to match slushee duh).

Slushee accidentally kicked over freaks food bowl today and freak proceeded to spend 20 mins licking the floor where his food had spilled. Hes not very smart, basically.

Here鈥檚 an example to highlight the difference between a service pokemon vs an emotional support pokemon!
Let鈥檚 say I have anxiety and depression.
An emotional support pokemon would help me by being there to snuggle when I need comfort, because petting them grounds me. I鈥檓 motivated to keep to a daily schedule because my pokemon needs to be fed and walked and groomed. This helps me get out of bed every morning and take care of myself, too. I look forward to coming home to my friend after work and school.
A service pokemon, on the other hand, comes with me to work, school, and on errands. It is trained to look out for signs that I am experiencing symptoms, and will lean on my legs and sit on my lap when I need to be grounded. When I have a hard time getting out of bed, it will nudge me awake, pull off my blankets, and bring me my medication so that I can start my day. It is familiar with my schedule and will prompt me when I have a hard time transitioning from task to task.
#yaya . sasha is an emotional support mon and so is slushee#slushee is specifically a gift from someone who breed eiscue to be able to pick up on your temp differences!#for people prone to fevers and hot flashes. hes so so sweet i love him a ton

You FOSTERED some of these things?????? Congrats on not dying ig !!
Making another post bcuz i started thinking abt cryogonal again ok these fucking things are such a pain. Oh the humidity is slightly too low? Im going to lose 30% of my mass in ice about it. Oh youre feeding me a food i slightly dislike? Well im going to act like im being starved despite food being RIGHT THERE. Oh its slightly too wet? What if i put on 20lbs of weight in solid ice and dropped like a stone. My trainer has a hairstyle i personally dont like? Well im going to try and float away into the woods EVERY TIME IM LET OUT.
Theyre just very fucking hard to tame and get used to trainer/pet life after catching. If you arent expecting it itll be a nightmare. Its STILL a nightmare if you ARE. You just have to hope to god that you caught one with a good temperment.
#eis.txt#every time i see a cryogonal i start screaming crying throwing up etc etc#the only person ive seen who has them tamed down to the point of being snuggly and nice is wulfric#which. hes wulfric. no mere person can match his skill

Hey there! I heard you want ice-type care questions, so what's your favorite ice type pokemon and some care tips for them? - @pokefostering-101
* stands here in eiscue themed blog* id be worried if people DIDNT know what my favorite ice type was
JOKES ASIDE. Eiscue are ABSURDLY easy to keep. Theres 3 subspecies (brackish, freshwater, and saltwater) but the care for all 3 once in captivity is basically the same. Eiscue dont like to be seen eating at first, as they need to shed their armor to do so. But as you grow closer, your eiscue will consider you part of its flock, and itll be just fine to eat with you! Theyre a very community based pokemon, so its best to eat at the same time as your pal :)
Like every pokemon with feathers, they molt in spring. Id suggest getting a high powered hair dryer or a leaf blower to blow all the molted feathers and quill-shards away. Eiscue even do a little shimmy when you help them molt that way and its SOOO cute

I advertise myself as a unovan ice type expert and i get ppl asking me "oh can you help me train my cryogonal?" No. I cant. You chose to get a cryogonal. Pick a legendary. And pray.

#eis.txt#ig this can all be said for any 'apex predator' pokemon. glalie shares a lot of these problems.#esp the food thing and sudden almost random mass-ice growth if its too wet#but at least glalie are inherently easier to train cuz you can have them from a snorunt

In a different way i sometimes see people getting ice types that SHOULD NOT have them. That child should not have a vanillite . That trainer should not have an arctozolt. Who is catching cryogonal without doing tons of research those things are fucking horrible to take care of w no prep .
Its always so weird being reminded that electric types are super popular. Bcuz like yeah ive got a couple but theyre both neurotic little thangs. Like ooohh right... some electric types are NORMAL...
#eis.txt#fun note: you can tell the healthiness of a cryogonal by looking at the size and length of their 'bead chains'#cryogonals that are super old and super healthy have long ass chains its p cool#but theyre a fucking nightmare. not as bad as the vanillite line but like... up there. theyrr so fucking stubborn#if they dont like something. it can be ANYTHING minor w their care. they will just like. choose to shrivel away its infuriating#the few ive worked with have made me want to scream
