British bakeoff contestant cooks road kill
Ian has gone on record to say that he's cooked roadkill he found on the side of the road. He even ate a badger. This obviously got him into a lot of controversy

Silkard fish vendor
He's the fish vendor from hellboy. He is also a fish. He looks like some decrepit intelligent species from the deep sea.

H.R Giger
Giger was the mind behind the alien movies, and also had a hand in creating some of the suits. The man was very disturbed and had a bad relationship with the women in his life. There were some very sexual undertones in both his takes on alien, the original alien designed to be phallic in nature, even using parts of condoms, KY jelly and rolls royce pipes. He also used animal vertebrae, and even a mutilated human skull for the head piece.
Giger also did a female representation of Alien, which is also heavily sexualised.

My target was to do page 20, a fight between tobias and sweeney where tobias ultimately kills sweeney. Tobias is a child. I wanted to make it funny and went for a ridiculously over exaggerated style inspired by jojo's bizarre adventure.
I looked into anime and mangas, observing their layout and how panels are generally structured and filled. Mangas are read from right to left, apposed to western media.
I looked at a number of examples, and also looked into the structure of webtoons.
Webtoons read very differently as they're designed to be viewed on phone, as such they're usually linear and single panels, designed to be scrolled down.
I also looked into western artists and comics. Though comic panels were harder to come by.
First, I structured the comic page, putting together panels in a way that I thought I could work with.
Then I drew out the story board and structure of these panels to get an outline to work off of (and to ultimately make changes to)
I then trialed the jojos style, drawing a face.
Me practicing shading in the style of jojos as well (The first panel ended up being a guinea pig. I made a lot of changes all through it,
One of the first renditions of the page, Using japanese characters which mean "menacing", and giving characters "auras". I had a lot of fun with creating this. Making the silho
This was the final rendition. I went for a lot of design choices, such as characters and fonts sticking out from boarders, experimenting with a white on black approach with the top right panel. I also made the character in that panel bigger to make him seem more intimidating. The end result is a jojos inspired sweeney todd page that uses and has fun with a lot of iconic tropes found in the series.

Dan Hipp
Dan hipp has a very cartoonish and stylized form of art style.
I think this is a good style that lends itself to the world of super heroes well, creating fun and cartoonish renditions of beloved characters.

Hajime Isayama
Hajime Isayama is the creator of attack on titan, one of the most popular manga series with 140 millions of copies sold
The is centralised on people who can turn into giants (think biomechas) And so a lot of panels and artwork focuses on these massive titans, and how much destruction two of these beings fighting can cause. Isayama's style is very gritty and harrowing there's a lot of jokes about how many lines who usually draws around the eyes to show how traumitised the characters in this series are.

Frank Miller
Frank miller has done comics for both DC and marvel, working a lot with characters like spiderman, batman and dare devil
He has a very interesting approach to illustrationfor colours, going very minimalist in the batman one above, a simple black on red approach
He went for a similar approach with daredevil, except this time he also put in an inverse, creating an interesting contrast of red with black line art and black with red line art. I really like the result and find it to be very dynamic.

Scott Snyder
Scott snyder does a lot of work for DC comics, specifically the beloved character of batman, that being said he has also branched out onto other comics.
This cover reminds me of COD zombies, but I really like the clever use of red and how it dominates the page with that black contrast. His work really stands out as a more gritty form of western comics.

Sea creature pie
Moulding the head and neck of the creature, using additional super sculpey to pad up the neck to create an armoured scale look to it, also adding to the face to create a protruding jaw, I attempted to make the fins (below the bottom mouth) with grey sculpey, as it's usually better for more fragile ends, but I struggled with making the spines within the fins. Instead it was made with normal pink super sculpey, being careful with keeping delicate.
The fins on the main body were a lot easier to work with due to scaling, they were much bigger than the jaw fin, so the spines were able to be long and arching, I crossed in a scar to work with as well, just for flavor. The spines are very brittle and delicate after being baked. The side fins were made with grey sculpey. The tail is arguably the easiest piece, I made the shape with a few well placed squeezes into super sculpey, and cut the shape of the tail and fins of the tail into it to paint over the lines.
I painted the creature a dark green, the fins and under belly a lighter green to offer some difference

Human pies
These pies were made by Special effects artist Ashley Newman & baker Andrew Fuller, using their understanding of pie pastry and filling in order to bake it for some grotesque and unsettling outcomes. I think this is very clever, if a bit unsettling, but it's very impressive.

Pies
In Victorian England, there was a hugely popular form of pie called meat puddings, made with different pastry than conventional pies of today and were boiled in water. The earliest mentions of anything resembling a steak
The earliest mention of anything resembling a steak and kidney pie was a steak and kidney pudding, first mentioned in Mrs Beeton's famous Book of Household Management of 1861.
This is a picture of stargaze pie, literal fish heads poking out and staring at the heavens. This is what sparked the idea of me doing something sea creature related. I will probably never be brave enough to eat something like this.

Walk cycles
I've done a lot on walk cycles in the past, generally speaking only 4-9 frames, all centred around the character walking. These are used in TV shows, videogames, and all sorts and is often reused in both mediums frequently.
