YOUNG LOVE
Young love commonly an immature feeling which most of the time tends to misguide those affected by it, and sometimes my lead to a tendency of self-harm and self-destruction.
In relation with the famous Shakespearean’s Romeo and Juliet, the story focused on the tragic love story of the two which ends to death. Both of the main characters are at the young age when they enter a relationship, Juliet is only fourteen while Romeo is around fifteen or sixteen.
In our modern time, teenage relationship is almost everywhere. Being in a relationship at the early age is something that is already common. This kind of situation our society facing is quiet alarming, and adults must take part and put some action on it.
The story of Romeo and Juliet is one of the best example why young love will lead you into something that is not good. From the very beginning of the story, their love was based on looks and physical appearance. Romeo claims his already in love with Juliet at first sight, without even trying to know her more first. It was not clearly shown how their love grows because two days after the Capulet’s party they already get married. Just like any other young couples of today, they are driven by intense love for each other that they don’t even think of consequences of their action. They claim that they are in love which in fact they don’t have any deeper understanding of the concept of love itself.
There are several reasons why a person must not enter a relationship at the very young age. Based on research, teenagers are biologically immature, a teenager’s brain is not fully armed with requisite experience and knowledge in understanding serious relationship glitches. Teenagers are more driven by the push of hormones rather than logic and feeling. They are more prone to extreme emotional instability, mood swing, contradictory feelings and reckless action. Emotional maturity is a matter of time, age and experience. Though not all teenagers, but mostly. Due to emotional unsteadiness, they are unable to deal with problems associated with a relationship. They feel possessive, they get hurt easily, they get jealous instantly and prone to fall into depression after break-ups.
Romeo and Juliet ridiculous love leads them to take their own lives in the end. They were so fueled by the rush of their love that they couldn’t think anything rather than being with each other. They don’t even dare to think of any other solution in their situation than suicide. Extreme love indeed always result to self-destruction.
Teenagers today are too self-centered, seems their world only revolves on their partner. They would do anything for the sake of their own concept of “Love”, even harming their own lives. Ideally, teenager’s life should be spent in making good friends, having great time with your family, study hard, exploring and having adventure, like that. A relationship at such a tender age basically expose them to the kind of anxiety and trauma.
However, we cannot conclude that all teenager relationship ended in worse kind of ending. If they are lucky enough, some find true love at their young age, it just a matter of maturity of the couple. Nevertheless, such situation is very rare in this time.
Love is a wonderful thing. It always feels good being in love. The butterflies inside your stomach and all. But we must also consider that some things takes time, everything has its perfect timing. Love is something that shouldn’t be rush, we must wait patiently for the right kind of timing, right kind of person and right kind of love. Thus, something that is worth it always worth the wait.

Importance of Ethics in Journalism
Most of us know how vital the role of media in our society is. How critical it is, and how dangerous as well. The fact, we cannot actually live in this world without media itself, without a Journalist and other media practitioners. Simple because their ultimate goal is to deliver fresh and accurate news and information to the public that will help them in their daily basis.
Media can turn simple story into something that will surely catch the taste and interest of a huge number of individuals. Media on the other hand can turn a king into nothing. That’s how the media works. They have the choice how they want to angle every news they broadcast to us. People trust and believe every details they flash on their televisions, every word they heard in the radio, and every sentence they read in the newspapers and in the social media. Media has the power to mold minds of different people depending on how he wants it to be.
As a Journalist, who serve for the people our actions must be always guided by ethics for us to know what we should do and we should not.
Because people trust whatever we deliver to them, there are instances that we tend to forget why we exist in this society—and that is to seek and deliver accurate and factual information to the public. Some of us become selfish and greedy for an extra-benefits we can get in this profession. That’s why ethics is very important.
Just imagine us, Journalist, without being guided by ethics. Journalist are free to whatever he wants to do, whatever news he want to deliver without considering that he might harm group of people. It’s okey to accept bribes from politicians, as long as people will never knew. What world might it be? Can you ever imagine?
Being in this kind of profession is not a joke. Temptation is almost everywhere. Our hearts must be fully armed by ethics for us to know that we are taking the right path. That we guided morally by actions we made. Being ethical all the times is not easy, but as a person, a media practionners, we must know why we enter this field, and that is because we want to make a change.

FAKE NEWS
By: Ella Mae Millare
In today’s era how can we assure that the news that we read is real or not?
Technology improves from time to time, because of people’s vivid imagination and thinking. We cannot live without technology, others suggest. Thus, it plays a big part in everyone’s life.
If you hear the word social media, the first thing that might pop-up to our mind is Facebook—wherein we can share and post our happy nor sad memories with our families and close friends. Indeed, it guarantees freedom to do whatever we want in our account/s. But are we all aware that some people take that freedom for granted and use it as a platform to spread “Fake news” for self-profit?
What is FAKE NEWS?
Fake news is a type of “ yellow Journalism” or “propaganda” that consist of deliberate misinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional print and broadcast news media outlet or online social media. It is also written and published with the intent to mislead the readers in order to gain financially or politically, often with sensationalist, exaggerated or parentally false headlines that grab attention.
Perhaps, some of us care about this issue and some probably not. But sharing inaccurate information to the public is dangerous and will surely bring trouble.
For us not to fool whether the news that we read is real or not, we must educate ourselves about how to identify fake news.
Here is some tips how to recognize a fake news story.
1. Read past the headline
One way writers of fake news take advantage is that busy readers may not look past the headline or opening paragraph before they decide to share an article. In other cases, clicking through to the article will reveal that the story really has nothing to do with the headline at all or provides nothing to back it up. That is why it is essential to scrutinize the headline of the article you are reading.
2. Check What News Outlet Published It
Checking the legibility of the website where you read the news is very much helpful to know whether the news is fake or not. Many fake news sites will outright say that they are satire or don’t contain factual information, but others are made to mimic major news outlets. Check the URL names of pages that look suspect, making sure that it’s not a hoax site that is pretending to be a trusted source.
 3. Check the publish date and time
Another common element in fake news is that old articles or events can resurface and lead people to believe they just happened. Checking the publish time stamp is something readers can quickly do to prevent being misled.
4. Who is the author?
Looking at who wrote the article can reveal a lot of information about the news source. Searching through the author’s previous articles can show whether they are a legitimate journalist or have a history of hoaxes.
 5. Look at what links and sources are used
A lack of links or sources for claims in an article is an obvious warning sign that the post is likely false. Fake sites may also provide numerous links to sites that appear to back up their claims, but are themselves spreading misinformation. Check to see that claims supported by links actually come from reliable sources.
6. Look out for questionable quotes and photos
It’s incredibly easy for fake news writers to invent false quotes, even attributing them to major public figures. Be skeptical of shocking or suspicious quotes, and search to see if they have been reported elsewhere.
Likewise, it’s easy to take a photo from one event and say it’s from another. Images can also be altered for a certain story.
7. Beware confirmation bias
People are often drawn to stories that reinforce the way they see the world and how they feel about certain issues. Fake news is no exception, and many of the articles that fall under its umbrella are designed to stir up emotion in readers and prey on their biases.
It’s important to check that news stories are based in fact, rather than sharing them because they support one side of an argument or bolster pre-existing political beliefs.
8. Search if other news outlets are reporting it
If a story looks suspicious or claims to reveal major news, search to see if other news outlets are also reporting the story. A single article from a suspicious source making a grand claim should be viewed with heavy skepticism. If no reliable news outlets are also reporting the story, then it’s very likely fake.
9. Think before you share
Fake news sites rely on readers to share and engage with their articles in order for them to spread. In extreme cases, these fake articles can balloon out of control and have unintended consequences for those involved in the stories.
We cannot control the continuing development of technology, and we must dealt with the changes that’s happening around us. But it is not an excuse for us to be easily fooled by this fake news that arise from our society. We are all responsible on this issue, think before you believe, and think before you share.

DENGUE: Ang Pagbabalik
Wang! Wang! Wang!
Kaya pasensyahan nalang at wala kaming magagawa.
