WHY HUMSS?
Why HUMSS? Should I take HUMSS Strand? Welcome to the world of a HUMSS student!
Are you having a hard time choosing what strand you’ll take when you become a Senior High School? Let me help you with that. I personally didn’t liked the HUMSS strand at first. It was my only second option but I chose HUMSS at the end. I enter the world even though I didn’t know what awaits for me. Sooner, I admit that being a HUMSS student is one of my greatest decision I made in my life. I’ll tell you why:
First, it is a home for shy people like me. I don’t like talking first to people. I don’t like the attention especially when I’m in a public places. I feel uncomfortable when people watching me but in this strand you will do a lot of presenting in front of your teachers, classmates or even schoolmates. For example, the monologue, dance or sing in front, reporting, debating, and group activities and so on. This will surely boost your confidence. It is not always about the grades, it is also for you. I learned how to grab the opportunity without hesitating just because I’m shy. My journey in SHS, I noticed that I’m slowly changing. I’m changing for the better. I’m changing for my own good.
Second, if you want to enhace your writing and communication skills or love to write and want to learn to write then this is the best strand for you. There’s a subject like Creative Writing which have vocabulary or unfamiliar words everyday for you to understand and use different english words. You’ll also learn to pronounce the words correctly. And of course, the idiomatic expressions. I really do love it because I badly want to be good at writing and speaking in english and it works!
Lastly, this strand will help you to uderstand more the people, society, the world, and most importantly, yourself. You will realized what’s your stand in this world. What’s your own philosophy in life and what you believed. This strand is more likely to mold you to a person you supposedly are and just trust your own thoughts or perspective because no one knows you than you do.
I hope that I help you to decide. Are you feel at ease after reading it? Are you just like me? Are you taking HUMSS Strand now?
Welcome to our world! Welcome to my home! Come home now, I swear you’ll never regret it!

My Unforgettable Moments I have during Creative Writing Subject
To be honest, I love Creative Writing subject. I learn and at the same time enjoy. That’s what Ma’am Joyce style for me. Her wittiness and love stories is what I like the most with her. At first I’m really afraid of her, hmm I’m still afraid but not like before.
One of my unforgettble moments is when I write my own sentences, poems, essays and so on because I love to read novels and whenever Ma’am Joyce tells us to do something like that I feel like I am an author. I have many favorite authors and it feels nice to think that I am one of them haha because I could express anything too through writing.
Next is when Ma’am Joyce have a game for us. It was always fun because Ma’am Joyce keep telling that no cheating but she caught a lot. For us to gain the +1 on Mastery Test we’re all hyped to win the game but cheating we can’t help it hahaha. I’m sorry for that.
My most favorite moment is when we’re having a group activity or GEA. My heart explodes with joy everytime we do GEA in Creative Writing. It is more on a role playing and the class thought of the scripts or dialogues sometimes adlib and the plot is the most awaited part. Each group will make their own endings with the dead stars. I remembered that there’s a zombie apocalypse that happen which I really laugh hard and Cardo Dalisay was there.
I can’t forget the last GEA we did. We have different genres to perform like tragedy, melodrama, and comedy. Our group was melodrama and they said that it turned out to be a farce. I remembered the classroom was filled with laughter that time and can’t move on. They’re all confused because of the names we used like Juanito, Carmela, Divina, Josefina, Maria, Aurora, etc. that’s why it all mixed up.
Lastly, I will never forget how this subject help me to be more confident to fulfill my designated role because we learn to trust each other that we could perform well. This memories I will treasure because my teacher and classmates help me big time. I have gained more confidence. They will tell you what’s your wrongs for you to improve not for embarrassment. Also, Ma’am Joyce discussed every lesson effectively. I love how she teach. I love her subject. I love her lessons. Thank you for every memories I had!

TRAVELOGUE.
St. Andrew Kim Tae-Gon Shrine, Lolomboy, Bulacan
September 22, 2018, me and my friends decided to go to St. Andrew Kim Tae-Gon Shrine to dour vlog in Contemporary Arts and E-Tech subject. We didn’t know how to go there. We just asked a lot of people to tell us the right route or direction. The travel hours from Sampol to Bocaue Exit was approximately 2 hours.
I don’t usually travel with classmates/friends so I thought that it’s very exciting to be with them. We walked our way to the shrine and I didnt expect the entrance. It’s in the end of the road that’s why we almost passed it.
When we got there, my first impression is, peacefulness. I could feel it in my bones. You don’t need to tell to others because they felt it too. We just stared at the place for a minute without talking. We’re just appreciating the beauty of the place and the peace that it could give to you. I’m so happy because I need a place like this. Away from everything. Fix your thoughts, your mind and then go back again.
While expolring the place, we’re very amazed from smallest to biggest details of the structures. We can’t help ourselves but to take pictures. Of course there’s also a rule you need to follow when going to this shrine, the most important thing is observe silence. It is very sacred place that’s why we need to respect everything about it.
All in all, I love the place! If I have the chance to go back, I surely will. If you want to visit it, visit it as soon as possible! I swear you’ll never regret it.

Paalam na Gavin/ Something Spectacular
Lorraine is the almost perfect girl of the campus. High grades, rich parents, pretty face, kind personality, name it and she has it. But behind the facade she is wearing and people see is the girl who is lonely and controlled by her parents. A girl who doesn't know what she wants, what she likes, who she really is. Until one day, a guy approached her and invited her to join their club. His name is Gavin, a photographer of the Primera Obra Club. A happy-go-lucky and oh-so-friendly type of guy. Gavin followed her wherever she goes just to make her join their club. Lorraine gave it a thought and decided that, maybe, she'll find out what she really likes by joining this club. Once she had joined in the club, she started changing for the better. She now smiles and joke around, she now has friends which she never had before, and she now knows what she wants, and that is taking pictures. But along with it, she also started to have feelings for Gavin. She started falling for him. When everything is already nearing to perfection, there came a problem. Gavin was nowhere to be found. He just didn't show up for a day, and the next day, and the next, until it became almost two months of disappearance. The whole club got worried. They started searching for him and found out that he was not enrolled for the semester. He went to his address only to find that he had already moved. But they never stopped until they found him, only to discover that he has cancer and is dying. They shared the remaining time of him, bonding and sharing laughter. Lorraine also confessed her feelings, and discovered that Gavin also has feelings for her. But they never made a story together, for it was too late. Gavin died.

Poems that I wrote. Hope you like it!
Terza Rima: I’ll Wait For You
Mom, you appeared again in my dream last night
I couldn’t recognize you for a second
You look beautiful yet older and uptight
Time flies without you that I couldn’t reckon
I was scared, I want to hug you, and kiss you
I waited for you and you gladly beckon
That’s why you’re here, miss me too? I have no clue
You became my dream, what time you will appear?
Tell me I will pick you up and I will flew
Want to sleep again for you to reappear
I missed you so much but couldn’t see you love
You said we’ll be together, I hope it’s near
I prayed everyday and hope it sent above
My Mom, you are the most special that I have
Monorhyme: Who are you?
As I stared in front of the mirror
I realized it was already four
The reflection stared at me in horror
Telling I am a failure
Just like before
I smashed it on the floor
I don’t need the mirror anymore
I will believe in myself more
Haiku #1: Freedom
Sunlight stung my eyes
Guessed I miss going out and
Feel the warmth again
Haiku #2: Ruling the Wild Waves
You are the wild waves
I get along with you and
we ruled the ocean
Ballad: Back to Start
As I’m passing by on the street
Pain stabbed my heart,
I saw you my love, my friend
You’re still an art
Looking back at the last time we meet
I want to go back to start
I stared at the sky and whispered, I want it to end,
My heart is breaking apart
