Your Touch

Finally, after sitting on this for seven months, I can post this wonderful Lumity piece from the endlessly talented @gibbledygoo! This was the last piece I was able to secure before their work on the upcoming The Elves of Amaranth took precedent. Luz and Amity in the library was one of the earliest scenes I envisioned in my fic, Your Touch | Freedom to be Me, but it underwent a number of changes along the way as the lore (and word count...) expanded in my head. Originally, Luz and Amity would wind up in an arrangement where Luz would treat Amity's severe touch starvation in exchange for Amity not betraying her knowledge of the wild witch Eda and apprentice to the Emperor's Coven. A lot has changed. A lot stays the same. It's always tragic and it's always beautiful, and it's always worth it.

I'm in a comments section with a transphobe, and I wanted to pull this bit out:

I don't care if the word "woman" has a consistent meaning that everyone agrees upon, because I don't hinge my personhood or rights on gender and I don't expect gender to save me.

None of us are free until we are all free. If pregnant people have rights then pregnant women have rights. If rape is illegal then rape is illegal. If people who have less physical power are protected from being physically overpowered, then disabled people are protected, women who are not as physically strong as men are protected, men who are not as physically strong as other men or as some women are protected, children are protected…. gender needn't save me. Humanity will. I don't need anything from "woman" that "human" cannot provide me.

Statistics about what happens to women more than to the general population do MATTER, we remain a group oppressed on the basis of gender, and sociological study and efforts designed to foster equity (and identify where equity is needed) continue to matter. However, a closed definition of womanhood won't save me and I don't need it.

The difference can be personal because human rights should be human rights. I can get everything I need if everyone in the world also has it.

my favorite scene in all of literature is when Neil Josten wakes up in Columbia after being drugged, hurls an alarm clock at Aaron, dumps his water on the floor and throws the cup at Aaron, stuff his clothes down the toilet and squeezes out through the window, has the foresight to call Matt from a pay phone to protect his shit, hitch hikes back to campus, eyes back to brown?? shows up on Wymack’s door like 😜 and reveals he could speak German the whole time?? CHARACTER OF ALL TIME, that is a protagonist who knows how MOVE THE MFING PLOT ALONG

here's a heartbreaking idea: i think Tenna might be repeating some of Kris' words/thoughts 💔 at first it seems like Tenna is just apologising for including pipes in the minigame...but what if this is actually him repeating what Kris has said in the past to Toriel and Asgore? we know that Kris has pulled pranks in the past including flushing bath bombs down the toilet, and if Tenna's dialogue is anything to go by, Kris was really shaken by Toriel and Asgore's divorce (as they were witness to much of the fights leading up to it). what if Kris feels responsible for the divorce? is it possible that Kris, in that way characteristic to children of divorce, thinks that if they just hadn't pulled that prank which messed up the pipes, Toriel and Asgore might never have fought and could still be together today? 😭💔

SOMEHOW THEY'RE MAKING AN ANIME ADAPTATION OF DOES IT COUNT IF YOU LOSE YOUR VIRGINITY TO AN ANDROID?!?!?!?!

Like…ok. So. I am a fan of this manga. And I am not exaggerating when I tell you that at least 85% of the "plot" of this manga is "cute android girl makes office lady cum her brains out in explicit lesbian sex scenes."

Are…are they gonna animate all that??? Because if they don't the anime will be about five minutes long.

I am deeply, deeply curious to see what the anime version turns out to be 😅
