Teagan was caught off guard when a brunette in a gorgeous dress spoke to her, but maybe what caught her off guard wasn’t the woman, but the dress itself, and the fact that she knew its designer. No one would expect Teagan to be the kind of person that kept up with fashion, much less the way it changed with the seasons, but she did when it came to Georges Hobeika. She’d fallen in love with his florals, even if she couldn’t exactly afford them.

“Oh, thank you.”  She said, cheerfully. “I don’t know why, but I decided to go full vintage for authenticity. But your dress…” She paused. “Sorry, I love the deeper tones and lighter florals in Hobeika’s fall line this year.” She laughed. “Okay, enough gushing over your dress. You look absolutely stunning.”

“Well, I do love it when someone puts all the effort into their outfits whether it be a costume or for every day.” Eleanor had pride in her clothes, in the lifestyle her parents made for their family, and it would continue on if she had any say in it. Of course, she could understand how people would think of her being spoiled and her children being spoiled but as long as they were happy, she didn’t care. “It’s always refreshing to see something like your outfit instead of the usual slutty nurse.” 

The woman easily lit up as she took in the beautiful dress Eleanor was wearing and had surprised her by talking about the designer and even more about the floral aspect that was evident in Hobeika’s designs. “I know right? I almost died when I saw this one. It took all my self control not to ask my mom to get one of everything.” Her mother knew everyone in the fashion world, a perk of being a designer even if she wasn’t in the top ten of the most well known companies, and so it wasn’t hard for Eleanor to have a couple of dresses in her closet. “But thank you. Very rarely do I get to dress up so I decided to have a little fun this time.”

As Teagan strolled through the winery, she was thinking a number of things: She shouldn’t have worn heels to yet another party. She should’ve brought a sweater. She was glad that she knew almost everyone here. She wondered if Beau would come out of hiding for this…he was always up for some devilish fun, and if they decided to blow this too, maybe she could abscond with a good bottle of wine. Where was Jakob? It wasn’t like they planned for this, so maybe he wasn’t aware? Or if he was, was he just not up for a big Nashville party?

Her eyes scanned the room, taking a glass of red wine from a tray as a server walked by. She may as well get comfortable if she was going to be here for a while.

Eleanor had planned on not going to the little party. She kept making up excuses about how her babies needed her to be home or how she had a list of things she needed to get done around the house. And maybe she would’ve stayed home if it wasn’t for the fact that her mother had the most beautiful dress sent to her house. Of course, leave it to her mother to know her well enough that it only took a dress to get her to go out. Plus she didn’t have time to get all dolled up so why not just have some fun for one night? Her mother was fine with watching Aubrey and Andrew. 

Her heels clicked against the floor as she walked around, taking in the slightly familiar sight of the winery. Of course, she had to make something up to as why she was wearing such an extravagant dress to a costume party and decided on being Blair Waldorf, washable hair dye and all. She picked her own glass of wine, a lovely blue catching her eye. “What a pretty dress! Very old Hollywood, I love it.” She commented.
