It took like 2 Luka episodes for me to go crazy abt him. Last episode he played a violin with his mind and convinced a coldhearted TV presenter to pursue drag, whilst saving his crocodile father from drowning and giving two of his friends an ego death. I'm done for

The writing decision to make Luka Couffaine a 15 year old twin instead of the 17-18 year old high school graduate he behaves like is so insane to me. We never see him at school and the only mention of him going to school is him promoting a booth at a career fair, which one, why would a high school be doing that, and two, why would they make a sophomore do it, and it's also for an incredibly niche trade that I don't think a high school would serve. He's taller and proportionally larger than everyone that shares his body type and is the same height as make adults, plus he's got pretty large gaugues, which take a while to dilate that far and are not customarily worn by teenagers. He's got a job and is the only teenager in the cast to have one, and we never see him going to school, only to work. He possesses such a deep emotional maturity that if he was 15 I would be worried about what happened to him to make him this sound of mind. That is a boy in his late teens and I won't accept anything other than that.

Miraculous is something I did except you watch,what about it appeals to you?

Also on its appeal to me: for the past 4 years, me and my best friend Blue have watched a few episodes of a cartoon together every night to unwind. We usually pick stuff that's not that mental labor intensive because I do a lot of really heavy reading/the other media and history I like is really heavy, so chilling out with something silly is healthy. I used to watch MLB in my childhood basement when I would soak animal bones in saline and customize dolls, so I already kind of knew about it,and what hooked me on it was my eternal love of dissecting superhero power fantasies and the general soap opera-ness of it all. Miraculous is a show that has a lot of the stuff I really enjoy in superhero media like cool character design and powersets, a focus on analysis over sheer power, and fights that say something about characters, most of which are surprisingly well written and endearing. It also happens to be fucking terrible. And my top 5 characters are Adrien, Chloé, Natalie, Luka, and Kagami (honorary Felíx and Juleka mention too) so you know my ass is suffering.

Out of curiosity, what’s your opinion on Marigami/Kagaminette?

I really like it! Similarly to Luka and Adrien and their appeal, I think Marinette benefits a lot from someone who gives it to her straight, and Kagami seems to adore her and Marinette almost gives up on Adrien because she admires Kagami so much. Also that one episode where Adrien, Kagami, and Marinette were all having fun together and she seemed so happy w the two of them.... Miraculous is one of the most difficult shows to not have a polyamorous option with, because the secondary love interests don't really have anything wrong with the and their relationships to the mcs and their "rivals". Petition for 4 way polyamory once Luka is retrieved from Brazil please.

I’m really recently diagnosed chronically ill/disabled and I still sometimes feel embarrassed about being so young and needing mobility aids, but you create so much art of my comfort characters using the same aids/tools and it’s helped me become more comfortable using mine, and I just wanted to tell you how much I sincerely appreciate how much confidence you’ve given me just by sharing your art

Thank you so much, that means a lot! I personally was diagnosed with my condition at 17 and have needed more and more help over time, and I always felt bad about being so young and slowly being unable to do things I used to, so I saw myself in a lot of character's experiences with helplessness and decided to draw that connection. I'm glad I've helped you too <3
