Headcanon; Headphones

They look cool, right? But have you noticed you rarely ever see them off of her or at all for that matter in media or even in person? This is sue to Elesa being deaf. It is unknown through media and her fans. Other than it being in official league paperwork and her line of work no one knows unless you are a very close friend of hers.

She didn’t want to be known for being a DEAF model and gym leader feeling like it would take away from her accomplishments. Everything she’s worked for has been due to hard work and not because anyone felt sorry for her or wanted to bank on that brand. 

The headphones were specifically made to be a part of that look many know her for, but their biggest function is to help her hear, so you’ll never see them with them off unless she’s by herself in the comfort of her home.
