Khianna and Donelle are kinda like opposites
Even before I decided to redo Donelle I always planned for Khianna to be kind of the oil to her water, but turned to the peanut butter to her jelly instead the more I worked on them. Donelle went from something far different than intended, she was suppose to be a sweet woman in a bad situtation but I felt as if her character and backstory was too archetypal and contrived for my liking. I grew to love this more gritty, meaner, and more manipulative Donelle.
But lemme get to the point already. Donelle and Khianna seem incredibly different from first glance, from their looks--one being soft looking, plain-jane kind of pretty, and approachable while the other is attractive, but cool and hard to know.
And they kind of act that way for the most part too. Donelle is seems like a relatively kind person on the surface, but in reality she’s very detached with a frigid heart but still believes deep down she’s a good woman and deserves to be seen as such. While Khianna seems disconnected and unsympathetic, but is actually very compassionate but holds back her thoughts for the sake of others. Somewhere in her don’t believe she is worth being thought as in a positive light.
Khianna is actually a kinder co-worker and boss than Donelle can be as she seems concerned for others around her, but Donelle is not overly concern with others unless she thinks closely of them though she’s good at her job and is sociable enough. Donelle does not like being bothered during work and while Khianna does not like being bothered outside of work.

Zar and Lal with trust
I don’t like the idea of others thinking children or just characters majorly younger than other in general are easy to befriend or even understand. This seems to be a common misconception of people when trying to make child characters (or in a role players case’s portraying and/or interacting with them).
Now the title says this gotta do with Zar and Lal and all my big mouth is doing is rambling about child characters, so let me to get where this have to do with them (sorry just had to go on my little soapbox and say that).
First off, Zar and Lal are not on Earth to play around. They are only there for a year and this entire year is meant to determine what they will do for their entire lives and they kinda know that. So they already have very work orientated mindsets and a lot curiosity is linked to their studies in a way too. Neither are going to be incredibly eager to just take leisure whenever and with whoever, they have schedules that they highly respect and wishes for others to do the same.
Zar is always going to be on a bit of a mental edge. He is being groomed to pretty much be a killer. Despite his soft spoken and quiet attitude, he will pull a weapon or attack anyone in a second without much wanner. The child will anyone as a potential threat, even if he personally like another (which is actually harder than expected for him to genuinely like anyone) if he feel like they’ll hurt him or Lal then he will try to take them down. He’s more instinctual than Lal is and incredibly observant to point of it being a fault of his. Taking a lot of things literally and over reading situations.
Lal admires Zesa and Zedige for a reason and that’s their dedication to their works. Other than that she have very little opinions on the pair. Lal is like that most people and is very indifferent without actually showing it, mostly because how she was brought up it was no real reason to have personal opinions on anyone, not even yourself.

blabbing about Temple
Despite me barely talking about the alien prince, I love him to bits (but isn’t this true about all of my characters in general?). He’s exactly what the Sasphere trio of hard-heads need a another hard-head but shielded with a semblance of rationality and have actual long term goal-orientated ideals. He longs for his land to be stable and was forced at a young age to hold the burden of ruling a nation due to his sister’s refusal to take responsibility despite her being empress.
Unlike Jane, Joe, or Johnny he understands hardships of having responsibilities that could either break or benefit a nation. However, he unofficially relieved himself of such duties. He views being on Earth as a break from the duties forced on him from his abusive empress of a sister, however it also serves a another purpose to him. To better himself and take his sister down one day, in reality he cares very little for making a ally of Earth (this not mean he hates Earth or will try to destroy it. He’s not even that judgmental of the planet either...he’s just neutral on Earth’s aiding him or his nation is all) as a whole but if it can prove to be useful then he don’t see the issue in it either.
Despite his colder and unfriendly disposition, his ideals and morals are subjectively positive. He’s the type of person that doesn’t want to lead, but will an can exceptionally well at that.

Yuta the “it builds character” dad

Yuta probably partook in multiple activities from martial arts to various arts in hopes that being successful in anything he does would gander him attention. He wanted to be able to tell his father who was always overseas and things to show off to his mother who always seemed busy.
This is probably why Mameko and Nikko seems talented in a lot of things than expected. Yuta strongly encouraged this and even could say he outright pressured them into some pursuits. Some of this is the part of the reason that Mameko have such a surprisingly competitive mindset while and Nikko’s constant self doubt with himself. Both Nikko and Mameko are perfectionists to a fault at times.
However, Yuta is not a bad parent all the same he only want them to get far in the world and is only his early twenties himself he is merely trying his best to be both big brother and father and got a long way to go.

Vita and Vito aka right-left brain the siblings
Vito and Vita are considered the opposite with each other to many people. While both are very popular with their employees, many would agree that Vita is very friendly but at times ditsy and offbeat (which some think is cute, but some also question her leadership). On the other hand, Vito is very unsociable but is incredibly professional and punctual as expected from a CEO.
Vito have a hard time remembering people’s faces which can lead to others thinking they’re unimportant to him or that he’s just rude. It’s not the case he is just horrible with faces, but he can remember everything else about someone. Vita is horrible at remembering mundane things being the type that need to make notes constantly for herself and can get lost very easily.

relationship status facts: Iqniq
Here’s another relationship fact sheet, but this time with Iqniq this time around. Another thing I hope others realize with facts I put on younger characters is that not every child is the same. Not every kid character wants to make friends all the time nor is willing to either.
Acquaintance/Not friend/Maybe-kinda friend:
Not very sociable and need to be interested in something to express excitement in a conversation.
Adults have to try harder to get close to him. The older someone is the more likely he will instantly not trust them, it is not easy to win his friendship neither.
Will find joy in seeing misfortune to certain people for his own amusement. This is a sign that he may not care much for that person.
Incredibly blunt and sarcastic, don’t expect him to show a great amount of politeness.
Harbors a protective aura of those he actually is close to and prefers those he don’t know well to understand their place within his circle (most likely that they are not part of it and don’t try to get it). This could be his pack mentality playing part of it as well.
Strongly dislikes anyone who he thinks befriend him to get close to Shanice romantically (or sexually but he too young to be knowing that stuff).
Does not express how he feels about the other, meaning it’s hard to know if he like them or not.
Friend/Family:
Will be secretly protective of and will loyally stay by their side
Expresses more of himself and shows how truly energized he is
To older people he wants to show how dependable he is and dislikes being look down upon in front of them
If someone knows he’s not human he may show his wolf-like features more often when along with them if he’s comfortable enough
Enjoys being around that person and will look forward to using any opportunity to do it.
Still rarely express how he feels about others, he just expects others to know how he thinks by then. On the other hand, he makes a lot of expressions and more sound or physical queues may express more than he could by words.

prolly important things about Mameko
She is not in love with Xiang simply have a liking to him, the two go on dates at times but are not together
Mameko does not have a lot of free time from school life, work, and other responsibilities. She only usually only have Sunday to do things for free time.
Is actually very hard to get to know on a personal level and likes having a lot of emotional privacy.
Is considered one of Yuina’s girls but does not go to Yuina’s school nor have time to pal around with her. Still the two are best friends and Yuina’s friends are hers as well.
Mameko is secretly very competitive and enjoys challenges. One of her goals is to fight Xiang’s sister, Chen and win.

smol plum/Diwa’s backstory origins

He was raised as a house duende to a family that he thought raised him out of love
Overtime the adults of the family begun to show their true colors of him, that Diwa was the equivalent of a perfect servant. When the child put this together he ran away heartbroken.
Diwa found himself in a rain forest and was taken in by the god of the forest and his daughter that served as a lesser goddess. They taught him about his own people origins and figured he better off living in the wild like his ancestors did too.
He decided that he should serve the rain forest gods instead despite their constant denial of wishing for that. Diwa states that he have to serve them to thank them for their kindness for him (something he may have been taught as a child).

prolly important Iqniq shit

To be one of the most chilliest and snarkiest kids I have on this blog as a muse, he probably is the most dangerous and morally questionable. Granted he was manipulated to hurt others due to the shaman lady of the past, but it was plenty he did of his own accord was that was downright horrible or mean spirited.
First off, his physical body ...yeah it’s strongly hinted that Shanice made it but to be honest with the recent development of Celeste that fits better with his living doll lore what about Iqniq’s lore with his own mythological upbringing. Besides Shanice as a teenager can only do so much with her powers and her thing is death not life in the first place.
He’s a shadow person, so naturally he cannot have a physical body. However, he could have possessed another for this physical body. A possible, previously dying child or recently dead child which could explain why it can still age as if it’s his own. Which admittedly is very fucked up because that means smart mouthed, but cute little Iqniq pretty much murdered a small child just to wear his skin in a way.
Or someone in the agency, most likely Alasie because honestly it makes since that she came with a sealed Iqniq. She could have been the one to give Iqniq his physical body. This would better explain why are all these Inuit people are in Michigan of all places (I’m sure there are maybe some Inuits there, but not a big enough minority for it be none suspicious of such a large group of them that are all kinda connection).

celeste’s “parents”
Like I said Celeste does not view Shanice as his mother figure due to already having a “mom and dad” of his own. Those two are the owners of an old antique shop (that also serves as a pawn shop too). Despite being together and obviously sharing a romantic bond, even the two even prefer to the other as “husband and wife” they still aren’t married despite being presumably over hundreds of years old.
#[ side character development ]#[ setting development ]#finally seem real development with celeste's storyline

major things with Celeste

Okay I thought about it and Celeste have some kind of connection with the Mirror Brother’s universe. Also Shanice may have been the one to give him life, but not the one to remake his doll form like I said before, that was already done for her by whoever sent him to the agency. This was done by the same people who owns the strange antique shop near Melvin and Conway.
This could also explain why Celeste don’t see Shanice as his mother. As he already have a “mom” and a “dad” being the owners of the shop and why he feels a need to go to Louisiana as much as he does.

frog dogs origins

Baxteark Zubbles have the most unique appearance compared to most due to the fact they are the only ones without any Earth mammalian similarities. They resembled Earth amphibians such as their original breeders have qualities similar to Earth amphibians as well.
This is due to Zubbles incredible hyperactive evolving to benefit themselves, due to their environments. Zubbles that either were taken there by locals or found their own way there begun adapting rapidly over years until becoming what they are now.

sunflower monster/Soleil Pavely points
Created from Majorie Pavely as one of her plant creations, is her preferred one as well.
She portrays herself as looking a few years younger than Majorie (hence Majorie is 22 so Soleil may consider herself around 17 or 18)
Have a relatively polite, cheerful disposition and can be a bit absentminded at times though this should undermine her more malicious and sadistic side as well
She have several other friends which are all of Majorie’s other plant monsters. However, she does not consider them siblings as all were from different plants and seed patches.
Have rows of sharp teeth all around and but can shift them to look like normal human like teeth

spring smol/Inoue, Harumi
Younger sister of Natsuki
Friendly, polite, and soft spoken. Seems fairly popular at her elementary school
Is in the 5th grade and goes to the same school as Nikko Asahi, but due to Nikko skipping a grade is not in the class
Doesn’t talk about her family situation with many, but her mother’s is a alcoholic and suffers a gambling issue too, possibly suffers from non-prescribed depression
Due to her mother not being able to hold a job, a lot of financial responsibilities is up to her older sister who works three jobs yet they still struggle financially
Harumi does not mention this side of her a lot but at she wonders if their situation is her fault, wondering if her father left due to her and if her mother is the way she is due to her (it’s obviously not her fault, these are merely her worrying thoughts)

prolly important baxteark facts
Baxteark’s are not feared due to their physical prowess. They might be much strong than a human, however compared to other aliens like Sasphere they pale in comparison when it comes to brute strength.
It’s their minds which makes them incredibly frightening, out of all the aliens I got here I would say Baxteark are the strongest mentally.
The only alien species Baxtearks have no contact with are Nomecups and this could be due to Nomecups being very isolated or how barren their planet is. No matter, Baxteaks may know their existence but have yet to contact them.
Auto-Baxtearks force cohabitation on ordained mates as soon they finish their testing and training after their year-long journey. Meaning Yaxbla and Koqal already live together.
Similar to diet changes of tadpoles to frogs, children and adults are very similar in that regard. Small children have a very herbivorous diet and cannot tolerate heavy food even they enjoy the taste.
Some Baxtearks greatly enjoy sweets on Earth due to them sharing similar characteristics of plant life back home.
Most Baxtearks are addicted to heavy, oil starches due to their own diet being nothing like this. It may cause their body to adapt in a hyperactive level to this new substance and declare it a necessity. They do not need oils and fats like mammals need for their bodies originally though and if they go without it for long their body might go through a temporary withdrawal before reverting to normal.

Baxtearks (mostly Zedige)’s issues with numbering and naming
Zedige is the most likely to get upset about others making a mockery of his people’s numbering system, especially if they joked about wanting or making up their own “Baxteark number”.
To all Baxtearks, having a number is like a having a exitense. It means that they have a purpose to be living. Without one, you are nothing of real worth. To Zedige especially he prides his number more than anything else about himself as he feels that he worked hard to own his proof of existence. If he heard someone mocking or questioning this, even if it’s not in a serious context he might get mentally and emotionally defensive.
He personally dislikes the idea of using a name alias such as Zedige and prefer to not call other Auto-Baxtearks by these fake names but their numbers. It could be seen as a sign of politeness and respect among them. Zar and Lal are especially reluctant of calling adult Auto-Baxtearks by their fake names and rather their numbers as they were taught to.

Hatty and Totty: villianess comparison

When it comes to what one thinks is good and evil are very subjective, but I do think that Hatty and Totty would fit the bill of characters would be regularly seen as villains even in their own universe.
To me Totty is more neutral of a villianess due the fact she merely does her job and it’s the decision of others around her that case to be be a good or bad outcome. She’s a witch doctor so she is meant to heal and solves others problems, but to her sacrifices may be made or in other words she need a payment. The payment can range from actual money to one’s soul, it depends on how grand something is being requested for her.
However, she looks more scary than Hatty does due to being a half-woman, half-spider monster. No one in their right mind would trust her but I personally think that Hatty is the one that is more evil.

Hatty does not need magic or monstrous features to be a terror to others. She’s a human inside of a universe made up of normal people and honestly that is the scariest thing about her. It’s her complexity as person and realistic universe that easily make her more scarier because it’s no crutch of any fantasy element that can divorce the mind from the idea that is realistic world and people like her really exist.
Totty took in Miems through the pity she felt her, despite the fact she was the daughter her former master. Hatty took in foster children due to seeing them as a future investment, I’m sure Hatty did feel sorry for Khianna and Donelle’s situations and do feel true maternal feelings for them but to what extent due her need to use others overtakes her. Even her own husband people can say she wanted to be with him merely due to wanting to live a comfortable life (many other pros with her didn’t even think she was attracted men in the first place), her love for him came afterward.
Even before I revised Donelle and was gonna have it in one now dropped thread that she wanted to offed the younger woman that was still Hatty’s true nature. She will take down whatever gets in her way or she see is as trouble wanting to happen. However, Donelle and Hatty’s revised relationship is even more evil to me in a way.
Donelle and Khianna are trapped by Hatty, they see her as someone they hate but love at the same time. They desire her as a maternal figure and grateful for all she done for them, but Hatty easily abuses their own mentality of this. Hatty gave them such high positions of employment that they have no choice but to stay working, only scandals and questioning would arise if they quit and without these roles they have no other source of employment.
Without her insurance and financial backing Marques would suffer as Khianna could not pay his medical bills, without Hatty being the triplets’ foster mother Donelle would struggle supporting all of them even if the kids had jobs themselves. Not to mention both women could easily land in prison while Hatty who have all the power would be safe.
