NCIS: Hawaii - 1x14 - Some details
In case you haven't seen this info posted yet. Other sources may have already.
Also, Alec Mapa is funny af, imo. I wonder if his character will have some humorous trait as well. It's possible as he'll be interacting with Ernie.
Please let there be some kacy scenes!

Lucy&Kate/22 eps/5 back-to-back
Now that 1x12 & 1x13 have passed, what's in store for the team and our beloved kacy? With 9 more episodes to go and 5 episodes (including the cross-over ep) airing in a row starting Feb. 28th, it's safe to say our minds are traveling in all sorts of directions. :) Also, I'm going to be ever curious about the timeline between episodes, as we see hints of some time passing, depending on the episode.
Will they show how the revelation about Maggie has been affecting Tennant? As for Kacy, I tend to think the ball is now in Lucy's court. Eps 112/113 left her *rightfully* still mad, and I'm sure they'll be showing Kate trying to engage with her, but at the end of the day, it is now up to Lucy to allow for a real conversation between the two of them. Of course, I wouldn't mind if the team helped nudge them together in a fashion. ;) Maybe it's my imagination but in Ep112 when Jesse & Lucy are walking together talking about how Lucy seems to be on edge, it's subtle but it feels like Jesse senses that it's not quite over between them even though he says he's sorry...
Right now my personal preference is to not see this issue dragged out for so long in the season, and we've all posted and read discussions about it, so won't further expand regarding that. What will be interesting is what development will happen in the next 5 eps between them, whether it be a big or small one. Maybe by ep1x16, they'll finally have a talk and Kate will have a serious chance to apologize, then move forward. Also, how much of Lucy's past regarding her experience with people not being authentic or honest will be revealed. A lot of wishful thinking on my part, I know. lol. I need to see these two hug & kiss already.
I like how the "whatever this is" phrase is pretty much the prelude to the "this is love" declaration that Kate & Lucy will eventually say to each other. Hoping for some good surprises after such a long hiatus...

Ep.1x11 Lucy & Kate
I'm basing this on the current notion that kacy's endgame. If the writers take another path with them later down the line, then that'll be another bridge to cross. I love Kate & Lucy and would like to see them progress in such a manner that, while everything is never ever perfect, they will have evolved together, come to UNDERSTAND one another, and act in ways that strengthen themselves and their relationship. Imagine what that would look like. ;)
Anyway, back to the reality of 1x11. lol. (Also, this ended up being a bit long :P)
Kate's Apt - Morning: That scene was gold with their smiles, easy banter, hand-holding, Kate's laugh, Lucy essentially looking at Kate with love, touching Kate's knee as she gets up, and their affectionate "have a good day" kiss. Who knew that the foreboding part of that scene was actually the "16 hours earlier" overlay. lol. So begins the reveal of the the 1st major bump in their budding relationship that we as viewers get to see; Cara. Kate hides her panic well in the form of distraction, but then misses Lucy's indirect slip aka 'declaration of love'. (lol, oh please we all know). With regard to the surprise of Cara, I can just imagine all the thoughts going through Kate's mind, including a growing amount of fear of what will happen if she told Lucy right then and there. If the roles were reversed, it would be easy for Lucy to talk about it, 'cause that is where she is at this point in her life. We have yet to see more of how their past has shaped and affected them, but I think atm with Lucy, she's had more of a chance to work on herself and figure out standards/principles in context and has determined that honesty and full disclosure is what works for her and what makes things less complicated, even if the other party doesn't want to hear it or reacts negatively. With Kate, however, I agree with the consensus that perhaps her history/experiences have not shaped her to be as adept at communication and is a bit stunted when it comes to some situations in her personal life. I think we now know that morning with the surprise text/visit it finally hit her how much Lucy means to her, got panicked, and thought she would try to fix it herself. I do believe that in Kate's mind, she has essentially broken up with Cara. As I see it, there's no cheating here, and she's been exclusive with Lucy. Could she have made better choices in making sure it's clearly ended earlier with Cara? Absolutely. Should she have told Lucy or indicated that they need to talk about her ex? Damn right. But love it or hate it, therein lies Whistler's complexity and her journey. Also to be clear, Kate also has her own set of standards/principles, but then we are all also flawed in some of our ways, right? I sympathize with them both.
The scene with Cara at Kate's apartment definitely was a bit awkward and I did feel that I needed a little bit more information or dialogue between Kate & Cara. But here we go, this is the emotional build up and overload for Lucy as she was trying to talk to Kate about her trepidation with going undercover only to encounter this entanglement. Lucy at this point is only seeing red and is compounded later after she almost dies and kills a corrupt judge in self defense. She knows Kate has helped with the mission, but in her anger she rejects recognizing how Kate was truly worried for her (and how long did Kate wait for her at her desk?). I think also, all the prior frustration she's had while courting Kate has come up to surface. With all of the above acting as a catalyst, she decides to end it with Kate at that moment. We know Kate had no chance at this point in time to reach Lucy in terms of having a conversation about what happened. That would have to happen another time. This was so emotional and it hit hard. Ugh!!
Now that we know eps 112 & 113 will be aired back to back, it would be great to see some kind of conversation between them start to happen, 'cause I think also it would just make a lot in the fandom less anxious if there was some kind of development before the long hiatus. It'd be interesting to find out what made the network decide to air them together instead of the original split.
Also, Imho, what I would want to see is Lucy finally settling down a little bit and giving Kate a chance for them to talk and find an avenue for working things out. While I want Lucy's healing to make sense, I'd also prefer to see this issue worked out sooner than later, meaning I don't want this issue drawn out for so long over the course of season 1, if that makes sense at all. In context I don't think it's necessary. I'd like to see the other ups and downs between them, so to speak. Kacy having a conversation would also present a great opportunity for them to start to hash out agreements between them like, for Kate to trust in the relationship (per Tori) and to be honest with Lucy even though what she has to say may not be initially pleasant, and for Lucy, to understand that sometimes Kate's hesitation to communicate is not because she's intentionally being dishonest but that she often struggles with it (communication), and will give her some time (and even help her) to work on it.
Later down the line, it would even be interesting to see in what ways Lucy may stumble in a fashion the way Whistler has in this episode, and how they will handle it together, ya?
In any case, here comes 112 & 113. Kate and Lucy will be ok.

Kate & Lucy 1.11 Quick Comment
Yep, 1.11 happened. We knew there would be some angst coming, but that was hard. Hope to post some thoughts soon. There’s a lot to unpack from these 2 amazing, yet naturally flawed humans who are pretty much in love with each other. Hang in there, folks.

Ep 1x11 - Promo Pic
Tumblr media
It’s a bit early to tell of course since the press release/promo pics just posted, but this picture either reflects what Lucy has gone through in this scene (as it looks like she may be holding her own against the ‘bad guys’ until help arrives) or a combination of that and the turmoil with what’s going on with her and Whistler, based on the description. Like it’s hitting her there at the end. We’ll see for sure...Also, in the cast list, could Kate’s ex be Cara (played by Juliana Folk)???

1x10 Lost - (The Dinner Date)
Oh where to begin! Lohhd have mercy on my gay soul...lol. Definitely as giddy as so many on this kacy timeline! I was pleasantly surprised by developments revealed.
The Dinner Date: Kudos to Lucy for using her connections to thoughtfully find a dinner setting keeping in mind Kate's current need for discretion. What an interesting restaurant concept! Definitely such a caring (and for me a romantic) gesture from Lucy as of course vocalized by Kate. Ngl the moment I saw Kate reaching out for Lucy's hand I definitely screamed a tiny bit at my screen, LOL, and for them to then lock hands, felt the flood of good thoughts and emotions about the high potential for such love and intimacy for these two. What a well crafted scene by EP Jan Nash, even ending with them solving the case. :)
It was so nice to see them both focused on each other, with Kate a bit more relaxed, smiling, grinning, and Lucy being affected by Kate's gestures and reveal.
Mentioned this on twitter, but gotta add that I absolutely loved that Lucy immediately disclosed to Kate that she believes most of her office know about them already, to ease her nerves a little about that, as she knew Kate naturally would upon hearing that, and then to say but hey they have my back and they most likely will pretend they don’t know. I think it was mentioned in many discussions how that is Lucy's natural state: to be honest and open about many things, right? Not all of course, but many or most?. I agree that how the writers will show that team interaction regarding the two of them when it’s time is tbd.
Meanwhile, all their scenes will be on repeat, as needed. :D

Lucy & Kate 1x10 Sneak Peek
1x10 Sneak Peek:
Was pleasantly surprised (aka happy screaming in my head - haha ) to see Kacy as I kinda expected it the week before airing.
I like that Lucy's still trying to do some kind of activity with her, while keeping in mind Kate's current need to keep things on the DL. I think that's one of the ways Lucy's been trying to get to know her, which is why it was a bit of a surprise that in 1x09 from Kate's dialog that Lucy doesn't really know things about her. Lucy's been patient as she's been hindered by the DL part and on/off again part of their relationship, yet she still accepts that she needs to do more to get to know Kate. Love these awkward two.
The Dinner Date: We'll of course see what the writers have in store for this scene if it follows through, but to fun speculate, one scenario could be the restaurant is highly exclusive, maybe tied to Lucy's family, which is why Lucy said she'd be shocked if anyone they met would be there. Will it be a setting with other people or a private space for the two of them. Heck, a helicopter ride to it, or by way of yacht, who knows. lol. However it goes, at this halfway point in the series, I kinda want the dinner to happen and see them talk (other than at work) and be romantic after, since we know there will be, according to one EP "twists and turns on their very satisfying relationship".
LOL Kate though when she said "It's fancy right, not cause it's gross..." and omg Lucy's beautiful hopeful pleading that she'd say yes.
P.S. Hey Kate, the Rock&Bowl date's coming, but after y'all's DL thing is done and the team can be invited, ok?
