#two weeks ago we found out my uncle has a brain tumor (lymphoma). prospects seemed good but it turned out to be more advanced than expected#it's too big to do a biopsy so he'll start a daily radiation treatment on monday#there's more history to this story but my thoughts are all over the place at the moment#anyway. figured i'd give you guys an update in case i end up going radio silent for a bit. xo

I started this year feeling super burnt out. I needed to find a way out of all the stress caused by work and my own additional expectations and habits ("just push through" is not a good coping mechanism if anyone asks). Raised red flags at work, which my management luckily takes seriously. Thought a lot about which activities serve me, listening closer to what my body and mind need. It is still challenging at times.
However, I feel a lot more at peace lately. I'm back at picking up my hobbies and even went climbing again today. I'm doing strength training more regularly - yet only when "I feel it". I'm spending a lot of time in the garden and removing the pressure and guilt from my project. I'm being hopeful for the near future :)
