V2.0 Available Now

Good morning friends, today is the day! V2.0 is officially available for download NOW. We’ve been working hard to incorporate many of our users’ suggestions from V1.0 and plan on continuously improving our app to best serve you. That said, we can’t wait to hear your feedback again! So without further ado...

Greetings, fellow nerds, gamers and game enthusiasts -- Happy Friday!

As we kick off the last weekend of March, our team (aka Rachel Lee and I) have some exciting new developments to announce about our rapidly evolving app. But first, we want to personally thank each of you for taking the time to download the app, join our growing Discord community and of course - leave us feedback. We truly appreciate your continued support and will stay working tirelessly to keep delivering the goods for our legions of fans - all 31 of you.

Okay, now the fun stuff. As mentioned, Rachel and I took every suggestion, critique and piece of feedback into consideration as we began building out Beta 2.0. And, after many hours, days, weeks (and gallons of coffee) we’re ready to share - to put it elegantly - a bunch of cool shit we’ve got in store for you all. Are you ready? Here we go! *Deep breath*

WHAT’S NEW

Branding Updates: As you can see, we’ve changed our name, designed a logo and created a slogan. We are no longer Ego Media, but Elete Media. Our name may have changed, but what we offer our users is the same - a one-stop-shop for all your e-sports news. Welcome, Eletes!

New Features:

Favorite Games: Favorite, follow and read news about all the games your heart desires. Don’t see a game you want? Head to the Feedback tab to let us know and we’ll get it added!

Customize Your Home Feed: The new onboarding process was designed to help us help you access the news you care about, faster. Let us know what gaming news you’re interested in and we’ll take care of the rest.

Discover Page: Discover new games or search and follow your favorites. (Hint: This helps us better personalize your feed.)

Save Articles: Curate your own library of articles and check ‘em out now, or save them for later.

Related Articles: Using artificial intelligence and machine learning, we analyze the games, leagues, players and teams detailed within individual articles from the 13 largest e-sports publishers. We use this data to suggest related articles we think you’d like. (Pretty cool, right?) BTW, this encompasses the top e-sport games for desktop AND mobile.

WHAT’S CHANGING

We are shutting down our old servers: Don’t freak out! All this means is the current version of the app on your phone will need to be updated. The next time you access the app, just click the link we provide and voila! You have beta 2.0 after this.

WHAT’S NEXT

Release date for Beta 2.0 is OTW: Elete Media should be gracing your phones within the next week. As Rachel and I iron out details, we will keep you all updated and announce a date when we are officially ready to go on the iOS and Android Store. (!!!)

MOAR FEATURES: Just as we did with the initial launch of the app, we encourage you all to play around in Beta 2.0 and leave us feedback about what you like, what you hate (*tear*) and what you’d like to see next. This will help inform how the app continues to expand, and enables us to better prioritize which features are most important to our users (that’s y’all).

This is only the beginning. Rachel and I are so pumped (exhausted, but pumped) to continue working on this project and share our love of games and tech with you all. We couldn’t do this without your help - You are the Elete.
