Tbh the good thing about all this Jameson and Grayson stuff is that in book 3, at least we might get a scene of Grayson and Jameson finally talking about EVERYTHING, like I mean completely laying out their feelings. Talking about everything from Tobias to Emily to avery to Lyra. Jameson will of course come his senses at some point and realise Lyra is in fact not a threat but actually now part of his family. So I’m really hoping we get a deep, honest, meaningful conversation between gray and Jamie as brothers that love each other despite all their many previous differences. And pls pls jlb make them hug 🥺 I want them to talk it out, get emotional and hug each other, honestly they should CRY together. I want Jameson to tell Grayson he’s happy for him now that he’s finally found love. Let those emotions out guys xx

Opinion about GR spoilers: Lyra and Eve situation

This is just my opinion and maybe some people won’t like it, but I want to share my point of view regarding the situation of Lyra supposedly telling Eve something about Alice.

We all know Eve. She’s a psycho, she’s a manipulator. I don’t know what strings she’ll pull and how she will come to meet Lyra in person, but let’s have this scenario everyone is talking about: Grayson supposedly telling Lyra about Alice to help her with her father’s mystery.

First things first, if this is true, Grayson might tell her not to tell anyone. After all, the subject of Alice is sensitive and dangerous. If Grayson trusts Lyra enough to share this with her, and this becomes a secret between the two of them, why would she tell Eve anything about this? Eve is a manipulator, yes, but she’s not a human lie detector or some sort of superhero to get all the things out of Lyra’s mouth. It worked with Grayson in TFG because he was still damaged and felt guilty over Emily.

I like Lyra, but if this is the case that leads to other complicated events, even Avery’s kidnapping, she has her part of guilt; we can’t say she did nothing wrong. In this scenario, with Eve trying to get something from her, she should stay quiet. It’s not like Eve would torture her :)) Not to mention that Eve is a stranger to her.

Anyway, this is one of the major plots I want to discover in the book to form an accurate opinion about it. But having the spoilers flying around here, I wanted to share my point of view regarding this possible twist, as a fan of the TIG universe and also as a storyteller.

Thoughts about current situation with Jameson pt.2

Why is everyone hating on him? Grayson is my favourite character but I can’t blame Jameson for acting like that. Jameson is not a villain, nor is Avery. Yes, it’s annoying that JLB keeps making Jameson and Grayson enemies, because I hoped for their relationship to mend. It’s like we are running in a circle. But Jamie is not a villain, he doesn’t deserve this much hate :)) we haven’t yet read the book, so maybe we can save the judgment over Jameson’s character for later. The same for Avery.

If Calla is Zella’s sister but Calla works for Alice or with Alice, this means Alice knows about Zella and The Devil’s Mercy? I mean, in TGG, The Watcher gave the impression they know about Rohan. I have the impression this woman is more dangerous than her husband :)) I mean, the old man was obsessed with puzzles and games and perfection, but this one is a total savage :))

I also want to share something I haven’t shared because final exams have kept me offline. I’ve been thinking about who I’d want to win the game. And regarding each of their situation, I realised Rohan needs it the most. Grayson doesn’t even enter this discussion even if he’s my favourite TIG character. THE GUY IS FILTHY RICH. Also, his sisters have money too. Brady annoys me to bits and I hope he loses. I’m torn with Lyra’s situation, but I think she’s not that poor. Moving back to Rohan, this guy has nothing besides the mercy: no family, no money. And we don’t know if his and Savannah’s relationship will be endgame :))

As I read some of the spoilers around here, Jameson and Avery see Lyra as a threat. I can’t blame them that much. Lyra has done nothing wrong, she’s just another poor traumatised soul, but Avery didn’t invite her in the game. She didn’t even know about Lyra’s existence. Lyra got the ticket from someone else, probably Alice Hawthorne. And we all know the Hawthornes are protective people. They might act like this to protect Grayson too.

Regarding the epilogue that I heard to be Avery being kidnapped *again* (poor girl should be left in peace, why is everyone kidnapping her:)) I understand Jameson for crashing out. Avery is the most precious thing to him and he can’t lose her. Even if Lyra doesn’t have anything to do with that, she’s a stranger to Jameson. A stranger that could hurt the love of his life and his brother. I’m sure once we see the whole picture we’ll understand their actions.

would i go to hell if i said lyragrayson should’ve been written differently…

i really tried to love tgg like i was SO excited to read it (i know i’m super late but i was in a slump leave me alone) but i don’t know. all the characters felt like the originals 2.0, like gigi = xander, rohan was giving jameson, and savannah is literally the female version of grayson. and lyra seemed like avery but with minor differences. like it was just giving tired…also how am i supposed to believe that they just fall in love in like a day. like 24 hours? maybe it’s really just personal preference bc i love a good slow burn but what da fuq. that is not enough time for me to believe they actually have some deeper connection…and then they kiss at the end? 💔 grayson hawthorne kissing a girl 24h after knowing her? is this healed grayson or just bad pacing i don’t know…with eve it made since bc she literally looked like his dead ex girlfriend and yk…trauma response but ☹️ i’m just so confused. his weakness is love which i get but i’d understand it more if we just focused on him started to fall for lyra and get to know her in tgg + tgr and not really act on anything between them until tgr if that makes sense. like i just can’t get over the fact that all of that happened in a day and i’m supposed to believe they’re totally in love or something. you knew each other for a day!! But…it feels a little rush between Gray and Lyra. It’s been only a day, but they talk like more time had passed and they fell in love so quickly. Still, I like their banter, even if the love connection between them hasn’t developed for my eye yet :) the “jacket” scene was wholesome.

Overall, I think it’s going to be an interesting book.

hey guys! I have decided to come out of Hiatus for a minute to talk about something that people on here seem to forget about, and that is everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I fully understand that most people on here are Lyra defenders, and that's fine. But totally degrading other people because YOU don't like THEIR opinion is not ok.

From what I have gathered is that Pinterest and Reddit is the culprit for these hideous claims to the oh wonderful Lyra. Well guess what? They are allowed to say whatever they want and if you don't like it, well it's on you.

Now, before you start coming at me, I am NOT saying you are not entitled to your own opinion. You are. But practically tearing apart someone, because they are voicing how they feel about a character they don't care for, isn't right.

Let's disagree. Let's say what how we feel. We can. But let's not tear others down because they feel differently than you do.

Quite frankly, I don't care for Lyra. I do think she has issues, but I also am hoping JB will address this and make her a good character.

I am expecting angry words in the comments, all I ask is that you are respectful of me. I have made my opinion, you can as well. Politely.
