eli: you're just buttering me up but i'll take it. eli: pianist. don't think i'm flexible enough to be a ballerina. even just thinking about it is giving me leg cramps. wait - really? two months is still brag worthy. i'd be telling everyone about it if i were you.
anne: yes? that's me! Hi!! anne: Elijah Hewson? is that you? the coolest irish musician? anne: which one did you try? pianist? because i tried to be a ballerine and i failed, i got an injury and my career as ballerina finished after two months. Sad, very sad!

any american version of a fruit cake is probably the worst version of fruit cake there is so i'm gonna have to go with porter cake being better. once had a chocolate porter cake with cream cheese icing and i'm pretty sure it was the closest to heaven i'll ever get. any other debates i can settle for you?
Settle something for me, @elijahbpgqh - a porter cake is better or worse than any American version of fruit cake on the market. Because on one hand, it's still a fruit cake, but on the other, the Guinness in it sets it over the top. I'm not a big drinker, but it gives me exactly what I need to feel satisfied, and I figured an Irish lad like you would have the settling opinion on this.

eli: i'm so good at this game. giving myself a pat on the back rn. so your name is karlie elizabeth kloss? rolls right of the tongue. i like it. eli: such good movies though. haven't seen them in a hot minute so i'll have to do a rewatch soon. eli: nah, i've been there plenty of times. just not recently since i've been doing a lot of work at home in dublin. gearing up to drop a new album and go on tour soon so it's been busy. but to answer your question -- i'm really coming there. eventually.
Karlie: you're actually right! the fact that i was named after my great aunt is a little bit of a lie, my middle name is for my great aunt Elizabeth. but Karlie is really just because my parents had a thing about "K" names. Karlie: i totally understand your fear of tanning beds. you only have to watch that movie once to become terrified of those! Karlie: are you really coming to the states next year? have you been here before? or is it your first time?

honest answer? probably around the time guitar hero came out. i took up playing real guitar after playing the game and that led to me joining a band with my friends and discovering i had a passion for music. kicked the OG singer out and took over vocals for the band, which turned out to be a really good decision. you sing? dope. maybe you can do little shows here and there, get to live out that passion of yours. how long have you been acting?
I am curious, do you remember when you first wanted to do something with music? I know obviously you probably grew up around music, but do you remember a time when you like thought you really wanted to do this for a living? I love singing myself, but I could never be like a professional singer. I don't know if I am that good, but I just love singing and especially on stage. I didn't know what exactly it would be, but I did just know from a young age that I wanted to entertain people.

eli: he is but i prefer to pretend he doesn't exist. not because i dislike him or anything but it seems to be the only thing people want to talk about, you know? dying over the fact that you said no to meeting him. bet his ego was real wounded when leaving the venue that night. eli: please do. make sure it's cropped just like hers was too. could totally rock that come summer. eli: bless them for only giving me 6 parts to my name. was born when my dad was going through his superrrrr religious phase (hence the eli part) so it could have been so much worse. fine, you can have bob but i hope you know i will be calling you dua bob from here on out. how'd your parents come up with your name? any meaning to it or is it random?
dua: i'm not sure that's accurate. isn't your dad like a hugely beloved figure in ireland? by that point alone, that would elevate you to royalty status. hah, not a chance. at least not in england. i had prince william at one of my shows once and i turned down the chance to meet him, pretty sure that's got me blacklisted from all things royal. i don't fuck with the monarchy like that. dua: so i should get you that hailey baldwin 'nepo baby' shirt for christmas, huh? dua: i have to admire their restraint, they could've added at least three more names for you since it took them a bit to decide. hm, i'm not sure that fits with dua. can i have bob instead? i could make that work for me.

eli: irish trash* but close enough. i mean, if anyone is royalty here then it has to be you. no arguments accepted. eli: not as many as one would think. people tend to have no fucking idea who i am so the jokes are pretty light. thankfully. eli: can you believe it took my parents 2 weeks to name me? insanity. consider this my offer to give you one. you can have guggi; it has always been my least favorite.
hfrp connect -> elijah
dua: oh damn, you're practically irish royalty, right? dua: how many nepo baby jokes do you hear every week just because of who your dad is? do everyone always know you're bono's kid or are people still super shocked by it? dua: also, that's a lot of names you got there. as someone who doesn't even have a middle name, i'm a little jealous. / @elijahbpgqh
