Becky: oh that's a solid fact. i helped with glee and cheerleading at degrassi last year and it was a mess. there were constant girl fights...and then...everything else that happened...seemed a lot different, but oddly familiar like when we were there.

Becky: i still think that's impressive that you stayed with brie and jake, because i think it'd be weird for me to stay somewhere with my way way back ex. haha. i'm glad things are working out so well for you though, eli! c:

Eli: He's super blunt. You'll find that out quick if you hang around him at all, haha.

Eli: Jesus.. Same shit, different people. Things don't change. Walking those halls at any time always punches me in the face with nostalgia. Hopefully none of them have gotten into similar shenanigans to me. I was too much.

Eli: Thanks, Becks. It means a lot. How have things been for you, outside of class stress?

Eli: Brie and Jake are still my really close friends. I know it should be weird, but somehow it never was. Jake flirted with me more than Brie ever has.

Eli: You and your ex, well that would be interesting... I'd pay to see you spend a weekend at Lacey and Adam's.

Becky: aweh! that's awesome. c: of course the two of you want him to be a little overachiever. hahaha. does he get along well with other kids?

Becky: well, i mean...i was also a bit on the sassy side and i turned out fine...and so did you and clare so i think there's absolutely nothing wrong with being a little sassy!

Becky: not to turn the conversation into something sad...but how are you since everything happened?

Eli: Anything else coming from us would be alarming, let's be real haha. He's.. Pretty good with most kids. It's one of those things where he doesn't tolerate shitty attitudes from other kids even at his young age which, I was pretty similar as a kid and so was my brother. He doesn't let people really knock him down which despite some parent-teacher calls, I'm proud of.

Eli: Sass is pretty much a requirement to attend any school in this region.

Eli: I'm doing a lot better. The first couple of months after the split I was a mess, crashing with Brie and Jake until I got my own place. It just got to the point where Clare and I realized as much as we loved each other, we weren't particularly healthy as a couple. It was better for the both of us and more importantly, Munro, to part while we could still be friends. We didn't want to end up hating each other and it was heading towards that fast.

Becky: oh my goodness! that's so big. c: how sweet! has he started school yet?

Becky: hmmmmmmmm seems to me that he might just maybe quite possibly get it naturally. c;

Eli: He goes to preschool three times a week. He got put in earlier than most kids since he's got a later birthday. Clare and I wanted him to be on the same level when he started Kindergarten since he'll still techically be 4 when he goes in next year.

Eli: Between his Edwards side and his Goldsworthy side, he's doomed. He's going to be the biggest asshole in gradeschool. We're prepared to get phone calls. He already sasses his preschool teacher on the regular.

So, while we finished renovating the theatre, I’ve been putting together a new musical for the citizens of Toronto to come together to create! There’s going to be two casts, a & b, alternating weeks for an entire month, run times consisting of two Saturday performances, and one on Sunday. To find out what musical it is and the characters available for audition. Auditions start Sunday, July 2nd and we will be accepting those and also crew sign ups until August 2nd. Casts will be announced Friday, August 3rd. I can’t wait to see who will turn out this time around!

SYNOPSIS: 

Based on the smash hit 1991 Disney movie and dating back to a late 18th-century classic French fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast tells the story of Belle, a beautiful and intelligent young woman who feels out of place in her provincial French village. When her father is imprisoned in a mysterious castle, Belle’s attempt to rescue him leads to her capture by the Beast, a grisly and fearsome monster, who was long ago trapped in his gruesome form by an enchantress. The only way for the Beast to become human once again is if he learns to love and be loved in return. There is a time limit, too: once a magical rose loses all of its petals, all hope will be lost and he will stay a Beast forever. The Beast’s enchanted household--populated by such beloved characters as Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, Cogsworth, and Chip--watch anxiously as Belle and the Beast grow to understand and befriend one another. Their feelings grow ever deeper as the clock ticks and petals continue to fall off the enchanted rose--will they confess their love for one another before it is too late?

Eli: I'm tempted, but I don't want Jake to be screaming more than he already does on a daily basis. I don't want to be the reason you finally snap and smother him with one of your cats.

Eli: We've been fighting since way before we got married, thought getting married would make it better, but it didn't.

Eli: We tried counseling, that didn't work. Sat down one night while my brother was babysitting and came to the conclusion we've both been fighting for something that we lost back when I crashed Morty which was trust in each other completely.

Eli: Neither of us want Munro to grow up in a toxic household, so we're doing what's best for him and for both of us. We both deserve love and happiness and we can't get that where we are currently, not with each other.

Eli: We made this decision a few days ago.. Honestly, we're getting along much better now. We agreed to stay friends for Munro's sake and I think this is the best decision we could've possibly made.
