Kisses Masterpost
All the kisses we deserve.
Kisses
A list of 50 types of different kisses for you to write about and for your characters to experience.
How to write a fluffy kiss scene
In a fluffy, non-sexual kiss scene I would make the kisses shorter, but more frequent, everything is a bit slower and calmer. There is no need for urgency. It’s almost a bit lazy. Instead of deepening the kiss they would give each other a short kiss on the lips and then another one and another one, but they would also focus on other things in the scene:
soft smiles
innocent touches, like neck and shoulders
forehead touches and kisses
hushed conversation
eyelid kisses
gentle stroking of cheeks
soft laughs
tucking hair behind ears
First Kiss Prompts
“I would very much like to kiss you right now.” “Please.”
“I’m not sure how to…” “Just follow my lead.”
“Is it ok if I kiss you?” “I would like that very much.”
“I knew I would love kissing you, but this was…” “Even better than the dream?” “Yes.”
“This would probably be the perfect moment for a kiss…” “And we probably shouldn’t waste it.”
“I would like to show you how I good I feel when I’m with you.”
“I’ve never done this before. I’m probably not going to be great at it.” “Neither have I. But we could figure it out together.”
The first kiss was not like the movies. It was a bit too stiff and at an awkward angle. But the second one was already better. Later that evening they had already become masters.
It was always exciting to kiss someone new. The first shy touches of yet to be claimed lips, leading to soft sighs and deepening feelings.
The feather-light touch on her lips made her feel warm and safe.
It was the first time their lips were meeting, but they immediately knew that it wouldn’t be the last.
Accidental Kisses
in a moment of celebration they get overwhelmed with emotions and basically without a conscious decision to do it
they fall into or onto each other and their lips meet
they have to share a very tight space and one of them tries to turn around which makes their lips meet
one gives the other a kiss on the cheek and the other one suddenly turns their head
Random assortment of prompts about kissing

Mural of a Woman from Pompeii
The Ancient Greek site of Pompeii is such an insight into Ancient Greek society and has some of the best preserved ancient murals and mosaic artworks. This particular mural is one of my favorites from Pompeii. It is stitched on 18-count fabric and is roughly 8 inches (7.72) x 10 inches (9.92) inches size. As always, the pattern and floss usage chart are listed below the picture. I hope you all…

The Bride
One of my all-time favorite Universal movies is The Bride of Frankenstein. Elsa Lanchester portrayed the bride. It was the role that brought her worldwide recognition. When someone talks about the Bride of Frankenstein, it is Elsa’s face that pops to mind first. The Bride of Frankenstein was released in 1935. I hope that you all will enjoy my ode to Elsa in this iconic role. The pattern is…

Transylvania Calling
One of the Universal Monsters movies, the 1931 Dracula movie was a commercial success and spawned several adaptations and sequels. The original movie was based off the 1924 stage adaptation. Bela Lugosi will forever be the face that many will think of when the name of Dracula is uttered. 9This is my ode to Bela. The piece is stitched on 18-count fabric and is 12″ x…

After the scroll is read aloud one night, the mummy of Im-Ho-Tep comes back to life. Ten years later, disguised as a modern Egyptian, the mummy attempts to reunite…

The Creature From the Black Lagoon was released as a 3D black and white film in 1954. It is a part of the Universal Pictures Monsters fame and spawned 2 sequels. It is the story about a strange prehistoric beast that lurks in the depths of an Amazonian jungle. To celebrate October and Halloween, I have created a pattern of the original movie poster. I hope you will enjoy it. The pattern is…

Betty Davis Eyes
Betty Davis was more than a Hollywood Icon. She was Hollywood. She was known for playing unsympathetic, sardonic characters and for being a perfectionists. She was famous for her performances in a range of film genres and won two Academy Awards. I hope you all will enjoy my tribute to Ms. Davis. It is a large pattern for a larger than life woman. As always, the pattern chart and floss usage chart…
