I feel like there's something interesting to unpack in how Midoriya is supposed to be "Save to Win" and Bakugo is supposed to be "Win to Save" and yet when they went against Tomura in the final war, Bakugo couldn't beat him and Midoriya couldn't save him.

Win to Save means if you lose, nobody gets saved, and Save to Win means if nobody gets saved, you lose.

Bakugo couldn't beat Tomura, and Midoriya couldn't save Tomura.

I feel like there's something deeper here that I don't have the words to grasp, and I need someone with a better understanding of these three and MHA as a whole to help me unpack this whole thing.

The worst thing about Six of Crows it's that it's so amazing and so beautifully written but when I try to tell my friends about it without any spoiler it ends up like "Hum so it's basically a group of six teenagers and they all have special abilities and they get paid to break into the most guarded prison in the world to get someone out and save the world" and like, I hate this because Soc is SO MUCH MORE THAT THIS. Like, the fact that they get the prisoner out is probably one of the least interesting thing about the book but I can't say anything else without spoiling something AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

ideal living situation is what i call the 'sitcom special' : having all your closest friends live in the same apartment building or neighborhood where you each have your own space but can wander in and out of eachothers homes at will, seemingly always welcome and never at bad times. and also all of you only have jobs when its important to the plot.

Reminder: It doesn't matter if you're "behind" from others. It's alright if you feel like people have accieved more than you. Life isn't a race of who can do more in their first 30 years. Hell, I see teenagers saying they have failed or that they aren't good enough, when things like that are not in the least important. You have so many years infront of you, no one's chasing you down. Don't beat yourself up.

When youve been a writer for long enough, commas become more of a spiritual practice than a grammatical one.

Could I explain the actual rules of how they’re used? Absolutely not.

Do I rely on sensing a tremor in the force to tell me where to use them? Yes and this has never failed me even once.
