Karl AU Idea?

So, I had an idea for an interesting AU about Karl after aggressively listening to a slowed song I really liked repeatedly lol.

In this AU, Karl's about in his late adulthood ages - about near middle-aged. Chauncey has passed away, and without her, his life in Florida feels empty. After several months since Chauncey's passing, Karl spends his time alone in Florida, feeling worse and worse as his mind continues to wander about his time with his past wife. Agitated, he ends up leaving Florida and returning back to Madagascar, hoping to clear his mind by seeing his "old nemesis" again. When he returns back, he notices the plane is gone, leaving him confused. Entering the beach of the island, he sees lemurs he hasn't seen before - or at least, doesn't remember - and he asks about where King Julien is. The lemur, confused, tells that they don't know who King Julien is. He runs back to where he remembers the village was last at, seeing significant changes to it. He doesn't see Julien. He doesn't see Maurice, Clover - the primary individuals he does remember. Growing worried, he asks a random lemur, who's revealed to be Hector at a really old age, with more greys around him than before, about what happened to King Julien. Hector reveals to him that King Julien abandoned them long ago to go meet with a bunch of zoo animals and never returned. Shocked, Karl shakes his head in belief. He couldn't believe it. Not only was his one and only was gone, but Julien, the lemur that really changed his life and was his ultimate past enemy, was no more - same with Julien's friends. They didn't have a king, and rather, relied on one another for leadership. There are more lemurs than before, and Karl's perplexed to see so many changes that he ends up sitting down to contemplate on what happened. He asks Hector if anyone considered having a new leader. Hector responds that whenever they did, the lemur either was obsessed, evil or was too stupid to lead. This gives Karl an idea. He thought of an idea that would probably not make sense. The fanaloka asks Hector if it was possible for him to become king. Hector says it's a waste of time but he tells him to go for it. No one remembers him, so he doesn't have to worry about having anyone be against him. He needed something to do. Without Chauncey, he felt empty. The idea of becoming a king was unexpected and very risky for him, but he wanted to do something. He wanted to become something again. He needed a hole to fill. And his idea was a hole he wasn't sure to fill. Make of what you will with this AU. Just a quick thought I had in my head. <v>
