since it’s apparently the theme of the week, I want you to know that I am deeply in love with What You Wish For and I have read it at least a dozen times. Seifer is so Gender™️ and Zell is so Sexuality™️ and I would never have expected this pairing specifically to work so well with the theme of the story but it does, it really so so so does 😍 I love Seifer’s journey and how it just like never seems to go where you’d expect a gender-swap fic to go, it’s such a fresh take and in a fandom that doesn’t really have a lot of that kind of… exploration of queerness. yes anyway thank you for the delicious meal 🙇‍♀️

HhhhghhHhhhHJHHGH???? What is happening??!!? I’m floored, thank you so much, WYWF was such an interesting work for me for so many reasons, but absolutely yes Seifer Is So Gender is one million percent the heart of the fic. (Also yes on Zell Is So Sexuality that is exactly the way to describe it in this context.)

This story was such an experience for me in so many ways, largely I think because when I first started it (10 years ago) as a jokey crack type of fic it had a waaaayy different vibe and picking it up again now with a new perspective on my own gender and sexuality (and having been immersed in gomens fandom for years) completely changed what the story was intended to be. It went from “haha Seifer is a girl” to “Seifer is having a deep and profound identity crisis” and frankly it’s not a direction I expected to work so well with the way I write Seifer??

Anyway I’m obsessed with my WYWF universe and characters and I have MANY more ideas rattling around in my head about it so I don’t think I’m quite done with that story just yet 🥰
