My insane musical theory involving Deltarune is that Spamton’s theme (and by extension, Digital Roots) is built off the Holy. I think this would explain why Bit Roots is in the Sword Route game, since The Holy motif is already associated with Sword Route.
My second wild assumption theory is that The Holy is OUR theme. The SOUL’S theme. It plays when we seal fountains, very much Soul related behavior, and it has a strong presence in Sword Route, which starts with the Soul being locked onto the TV screen. And THAT is why Spamton has bits of the motif in his theme, he wants that cookie (soul) so bad.
