The Moons. An interesting bunch. Mainly because one of them was dating his brother's ex. And well Elli sometimes judged, sometimes didn't.

"Well I guess that's good. This town needs a little bit of gong ho and enthusiasm." Elli would have to try and reach out. Perhaps another pie was in order so he could get on her good side. Ambitious people could be easy to get on the wrong side of.

"Dog Kay?" Penny questioned looking at her Dad and Bram before plopping dog beside Bones and reaching out to touch him.

"Elli and this is Penny." Elliot introduced for them since Penny was now focused on the dog. "I'd say the weird piece could be an insult but honestly everyone in my family is a little weird including my kid." Elli stated simply with a shrug.

"She's very amused with ghosts though so thanks for playing along."

Elliot shook his head, these days he was focused on just moving forward, getting by. Hence leaving this to the end. Plus being higher on the food chain himself he rarely interacted with the newbies.

Made it a little easier on himself honestly. Not great for friendships though.

"Shiny things!" Penny grinned and clapped at that, completely amused now by the stories this guy was telling and for the most part to Elli, he seemed harmless enough so he was fine just letting it be.

"Honestly spaghetti tacos should be a way to fame huh?" Elli mused ruffling her hair but for the most part happy to stay out of the conversation.

Elliot shrugged, he was trying to do better, considering his brother literally tries price magic to make people get along- well maybe there was an issue.

"How the office been?" Elli questioned offering said pie. "oh I don't know allergies. It's just a simple apple one but all home made so it's amazing."

Everything changed, things got busy and Elliot had never reached out to congratulate Max. Elli still had mixed feelings on Tom but that didn't mean he could afford to avoid the police and the bad taste in the mouth it left.

Elliot had to work with them.

So he brought a pie, could prefer a bottle but he figured it was frowned upon.

"A delayed congrats?"

Penny was friendly enough to want to run up to the man, Elli however was not friendly enough so he shot her a look before she ran off.

Eying the dog briefly as well.

"Why? Do they not have good stories?" Penny questioned tilting her head at the man before looking at her Dad. It didn't make sense to run from the dead, her Dad always told her they weren't something to fear.

"hmm I think it depends on your style choice. We had a good mix at the firehouse so I could probably figure out one or two recommendations probably. Like more pop punk go back to Paramore days. Country? Luke Bryan? I dunno little bit of this a little bit of that?" Honestly Elliot could listen to almost anything these days.

Hell knows on a lot of sleepless nights he would just search for music.

"Ah I can do the biting, I might not be the Morey you thought swung first asked questions later but I am willing to fight all day long." Elliot wasn't even lying, when it came to his people, his brothers, Elliot would go down swinging.

And Mer was someone he did care about so he would help where he could.

Elliot nodded, he would do his own research, ask the others what they thought. He couldn't be the only one weirded out by all of this.

But that's why they were all here to help one another.

They were all family, they were chosen family, even more powerful to him. He would go down swinging for all of them. "Just don't go silent, you better keep us informed throughout this whole thing."

Elliot didn't exactly frequent cemeteries, it usually was a promise that he would end up with a headache and a sleepless night.

But he was a firefighter, he had lost people that shouldn't have been lost and once a year he liked to try and visit them.

Usually he pretended like he saw none of the ghost here. Sometimes they were just chilling anyway, waiting for their family to visit so as long as they weren't ready to move on, he gave them space.

Today he had Penny with him so it was her voice that rang out, asking if the guy with his eyes closed was okay.

"Yeah we're just visiting, I guess my kid thought you were asleep in a weird position." Not the weirdest, Elliot had done worse.

"Just because you've had to deal with it all your life doesn't make it right. I can still wish that you didn't have to deal with it." Elliot doubted Mer would like the thought of being pities so he tried to avoid those words as much as possible.

They all had different skill sets. They all could help.

Elliot''s nose twitched a little at the thought. Sure the boys were a little older but they were still young, still had so much to learn outside of the world they had been taught.

They were kids.

So that reaction was utter bullshit to him.

Dodged a Bullet🔥[Chaos Bros]

In which, after speaking to Snow, Gem calls up some of his brothers...[takes place: February 7]

GEM: Gem had packed Sebastian in the car with little information and headed to Elliot’s, who had just happened to gotten off work when Gem had called him, leaving the Hauntley. He needed a place where he wasn’t gonna be overheard. He needed a drink. And he needed his brothers.

His gloves squeaked faintly as they clutched at the steering wheel. Gem still felt like he was careening out of control, which made driving slightly unsettling. But, he wasn’t careening out of control. Everything had ended up fine. So, why did he feel jittery? Like he’d just dodged a huge fucking bullet? 

They made it into the house and Gem opened the bottle of whiskey he’d grabbed from the Morey’s collection. They didn’t keep much alcohol in the house. Something like whiskey would usually be mixed with something else and only brought out at parties. 

Gem poured himself two fingers. He left the bottle on the counter, not offering any to his brothers, and then collapsed onto the couch, glugging his drink down and then rubbing a hand over his face.

Elliot nodded, he had seen twitter but it wasn't exactly what he was getting at. He was more curious about Mer, about their Mom. Not what he had seen online.

"People only see a fraction of the story, and only what your statement was. I doubt that's enough to judge or count you as not a victim." If they wanted to be called a victim or survivor or not.

"I can't imagine what you're going through."
