honestly I didn’t mind the plot deviations in shadow and bone season 2 because I was just having so much fun “AHA-ing” and watching my crows be themselves. it was like watching one big angsty fanfic that gave me heart palpitations. wesper. kanej. helnik. MORE IMPORTANTLY; kaz and nina fake marriage?? kaz deciding nina is a crow after one job?? nina putting kaz in his place when he isn’t around, nina telling kaz the truth??? I actually love that we got to see more of one of my favourite duos??? my frenemies <33333 anyway idc how much other book readers didn’t like it, it’s a fun little fever dream i will rewatch another eight times

(my one gripe is that malina have too many heart to hearts in private rooms about the same stuff constantly and it had me throwing popcorn at the screen demanding for my crows)

Watching season three of wtfock live was unlike any experience I have ever had or will ever have. I barely slept for 10 weeks. And I loved every second of it. It was one of the greatest experiences of my entire life.

Kaz Brekker EARNED that god complex. that boy is an absolute fucking genius and he deserved to feel like he is better than everyone else. because he is.

reasons the football field scene is an iconic masterpiece:

starting off. we get to see Willie completely vulnerable and drunk off his mind, and his first thought is to call Simon and tell him how he feels.

if we remember, Willie deleted Simon's contact so him calling him would seem to imply that he knew his number by heart and with such clarity that he could dial it even when he was super high (of course a lot of people think he could have called him through caller history but, eh I prefer this because... cute).

similarly, Simon has no idea who's calling him and that means that he respected Willie so much that he actually deleted his contacts and messages when asked to. and I. love. that.

Simon reading between the lines being spoken to him, and focusing on the part where he senses that something's super wrong. he can hear that Willie's not right, and instead of wasting his time on the "I really like you" lines [wHICH BTW, AHSHSIKAK], he uses the information to find out where he is.

and when he figures it out, Simon doesn't waste any time in rushing to help him. he just cycles the hell over there. even though Willie had just broken his heart.

friendly reminder that this was wayyyy in the night when everybody else was sleeping (including Simon initially)

Willie's complete and utter disbelief at Simon actually coming. he's not used to people showing up for him, or having his back, especially if it's at his worst. him repeating "you came" like Simon was the most wonderful person in the world... aaaaaaaaaaaaah

Simon very rightfully ignoring all of Willie's words and actually being angry at him (while trying to help him) instead of the drunk teenager being romanticized. we know that his dad was an alcoholic so it makes sense that seeing yet another person he loves in the same position is triggering to him.

Willie just... aah. calling Simon beautiful again and again, and then his little "are you mad at me"? you can genuinely hear the fear in his voice. "I don't want you to be mad at me."

Willie jumping on Simon's back, a) why is he so adorable and b) how did he think Simon was gonna take him back to his room

all the while, Simon didn't even consider taking advantage of Willie, and made sure to handle him in the way he needed

the music in the background... it was perfect.

tHE FACT THAT EDVIN IMPROVISED HIS LINES?? LIKE, SIR??? "everything is fake. everything in the world is fake. the grass on the football field isn't even grass...it's plastic. all the people are fake. they're made of material. but I like you...and that's not fake." this is freaking shakespeare, I don't take criticism.

in conclusion, this scene is a cinematic masterpiece and anybody who says otherwise can fight me, thank you very much

Why do so many fans (and some cast) want the Crows to meet Nikolai in season 2 of the show?

Unpopular Opinion: I really don't want it!

Because..

Kaz & Nikolai's meeting in Crooked Kingdom was iconic. Kaz immediately figuring out his identity and then asking him to bid as high as he can. And Nikolai saying "we're dirt poor tho" 😂

Meanwhile Jesper is gushing about the amount of ships Nikolai has.

And Inej straight up decides to not go because the Ravkan government never did anything about the slave trade and awful treatment towards the Suli.

So, if the show writers do make them meet and Kaz isn't able to figure out his identity for plot reasons then I'll flip a table! Cause that'll be too out of character even for show Kaz 😭

And if Inej accompanies Kaz in this meeting then that will be too OOC as well cause she literally didn't support the Ravkan govt. in Books.

Secondly, I wanna see the Crows in Ketterdam.

I wanna see Per Haskell & the Dregs, the slat.

I wanna see Inej getting Nina to join the Dregs. Nina make fun of Kaz's hair for the first time & even requesting him to help get Matthias out of Hellgate.

Wylan's first appearance (possibly sitting sullenly inside his mansion, doodling chemical reactions or looking at his flute music notes). Or Wylan running for his life and ending up in the Barrel.

Matthias brawling in Hellgate & dreaming of Nina in his cell.

Kaz & Jesper and the rest having their first gang war. And their first Waffles vivtory party (cuz we know its probably Nina who introduced them to the Waffles).

A possible flashback into the first Kanej encounter at the Menagerie?

I personally think these are far better than Crows meeting Nikolai ✌
