In such a weird spot right now, very much debating a reblog sideblog
I know tumblr is all about "reblogging is good for the ecosystem!" which, yes! Reblogging is such a help for art! But at the same time I am one of those people who doesnt follow people who reblog too much because I get stressed out easily when there is too much stuff on my dash to catch up with. Which leads to me missing out on some cool peoples art. And I KNOW I am not alone in this mindset
I am currently trying to keep a balance between 'reblogging enough to get attention on smaller art posts' and 'not posting enough to cause people to unfollow me' but ah, thats hard....

Maybe this is the wrong platform to pose this question given the average tumblr user but
Is it just me or did our generation (those of is who are currently 20-30 ish) just not get the opportunity to be young in the 'standard' sense?
Like, everyone I talk to who's over 40 has all their wild stories about their teens and 20s, being young and dumb, and then I talk to my friends and coworkers and classmates, and we just... dont.
#nah this is so real#I am currently in college and am horrified to skip a day even when multiple teachers have told me its ok to skip a few#drinking horrifies me because I never hear any good stories out of drinking#its always “drunk driver gets into a car wreck and dies”#or “look at all these health problems alcohol can cause”#to the point where I cannot find any positives to drinking outside its supposed to be some fun friend activity#the one friend I do have and love also doesnt drink anyways because their parents were horrible addicts that destroy the family#same goes with drugs n shit all I hear is horror stories and how it kills people#I dont hear any positives about it#so I dont touch it#well actually I know a few positives about drugs...#but does that wipe the fear out of me that has been built up for years? nope#also yes going out.to do anything is so expensive...#at least theres some free options and I dont recall ever getting kicked out from somewhere but#anyways most of my birthdays past 18 have just been alone for the most part and I just treat myself to sushi#oh yeah and college parties#those also horrify me#honestly all this shit just horrifies me and I am not even sure why anymore#like what the hell is going to happen am I going to get grounded lmao?????#are my parents going to take away my computer or some shit?????#thanks for this post#makes me feel like I should go out and do something with my life sooner rather than later#perhaps even do the unspeakable....#and skip a day of class...
