All the Elriel scenes are so soft and gentle. Like what do you mean she called his scars beautiful and he blushed. AZRIEL BLUSHED. What do you mean he gave her truth teller, the blade he's never trusted anyone with. ANYONE. EXCEPT HER. What do you mean she rose upto her toes to kiss him on the cheek? What do you mean he stayed up at night listening to her gardening plans? And the list could go on and on... I could keep adding more but this post would become so long.

I don’t understand the argument that Elriel is the red herring for Elucien. A red herring is supposed to mislead the reader — to make you think one thing will happen before the story shifts to the “real” outcome. But in this case… how is Elriel misleading us when Elain and Lucien are already mates? Isn’t the mating bond the obvious, expected outcome?Elain and Lucien being mates is literally the built-in “destiny.” That’s what readers are supposed to assume will happen. That’s the safe, predictable route. But here’s the twist: Elain doesn’t want it.She avoids Lucien. She doesn’t pursue the bond. She’s visibly uncomfortable around him. That’s not romantic tension — that’s emotional distance. Now there's Elriel. Where there's mutual attraction, feelings, and most importantly a story of choice. So tell me- which sounds more like a red herring?

Reason number 94833575827 why Elriel and Nessian were always meant to be, and that once SJM started to write ACOMAF both couples were set in stone. Yes, that means no Moriel, no Mossian, and Nescien and no Elucien.
How do we know? Simple. The first Archeron sisters and bat boys meeting.
Because...why were the bat boys even there?
if not to meet their future mates?
Let's break it down, shall we?
When Rhys first brought Feyre to the Moon Palace, when she was still nearly human and pretty terrified, who did he invite over?
Mor.
Bubbly. FEMALE. Kind. Friendly. Non-threatening.
Wouldn't it have made much more sense to bring Mor to the meeting with the sisters? She is still Rhysand's third, she is a female, she is a warrior, she winnows, and she has all kinds of magical magic.
Instead, Rhysand (SJM) goes for total overkill. Why in the world did he need to bring not one, but two enormous warriors with him? What was the point of them at that meeting? None. They are huge, intimidating, maybe even terrifying, and not exactly known for their letter writing abilities. Rhys didn't need THAT much protection, even from any rogue elements from Prythian. He managed to handle the Attor quite well himself.
So, he drags these two huge Illyrian warriors to the human lands, to meet two human girls. Why? All they did was eat some dry human chicken, bickered, and left.
If Mor was there, wouldn't she have made everyone much more relaxed? She would've joked and laughed and teased. She was already friends with Feyre, so the sisters would've felt much more comfortable with her rather than two Illyrian-leather clad warriors.
But Mor wasn't there. The bat boys came instead. To meet their girls. To meet their future mates. And the dynamic for both couples was set right from that meeting. Nesta' and Cassian, both abrasive and bickering, two warriors egging each other on, their attraction raw and sexual. And Elain and Azriel, calm and quiet, seeking comfort in each other, polite, well-mannered, their attraction already wrought with complexities, but also undeniable.
Nine years later, people are still arguing about this. Yet everything was clearly set up during that first fateful meeting.

Had a discussion with an Elucien friend today and they said, “Lucien stays away from Elain for her comfort. Azriel stays away for his.” And I just stared at them like be serious rn.
Lucien stays away because Elain literally avoids him. That’s not some grand act of love—that’s the bare minimum level of respect when someone clearly isn’t comfortable with you. He’s not sacrificing anything. He’s reacting to rejection.
Azriel? Elain wants him. She’s trusted him. She’s shown interest. And he feels the same. But he still steps back—not because it’s easy, but because he cares too much to be reckless with her. He knows if he stays too close, he won’t be able to hide how deeply he feels. And he won’t risk hurting her, or anyone else, in the process.
One is respecting distance.
The other is resisting desire.
One stays away because he isn’t wanted.
The other stays away despite being wanted.
Now tell me again who’s really making the harder choice. I’ll wait.
(A quick note. I love Lucien. He deserves healing, peace and a love that CHOOSES him)

The fact that there are people who will be genuinely shocked by elriel endgame like it will be THE plot twist of the series keeps me up at night lmao
Someone once told me that sjm doesn’t make her endgame couples obvious…
Are you telling me you’ve been shocked by even 1 of them?

Things have been eerily quiet lately—and not in a good way. We're used to some drama every week, but that hasn't been happening, and it's unsettling.

Something about Elain holding her garden basket made everything feel full of life. It was filled with soft herbs and flowers, their fresh greens and pale colors blending together. The scent of mint and lavender floated around her.
She was trying to keep everything balanced, the vines slipping from her fingers, the shears tucked under her arm, and the basket that was getting heavier by the minute. Just when she was about to drop it, a strong hand took the basket from her.
Azriel
Their fingers brushed for a second and a small wave of heat rose inside her, though she didn't look at him. Instead she kept her eyes on the herbs in her hands, pretending not to notice.
He walked beside her now, holding the basket as if it were the most precious thing he could carry. Elain smiled. She always loved how he showed how much he cared without saying it aloud.
Without thinking much, she reached into the basket and picked a small pale flower. It was soft and delicate. She looked at Azriel with a smile and gently tucked the flower behind his ear.
Azriel froze. His eyes widened and then a blush rose over his cheekbones. Soft and pink like dawn on his skin ,making him look almost human not the strong shadow warrior she knew. Elain's smile widened, and a laugh slipped from her. "It looks good on you" she said. He shook his head, but his lips curved into a small smile that made her heart flutter.
They walked on, Elain didn't take the flower back. And he didn't remove it either. Azriel simply kept walking beside her the little bloom still tucked behind his ear, its pale petals bright against his dark hair.
At one point, a breeze blew through brushing petals from a nearby tree. A few landed in her hair, but she didn't notice. Azriel did
He stopped walking
"You've got something" he said.
Before she could ask what his hand lifted. Carefully he plucked a petal from her braid, his fingers brushing lightly against her temple. Her breath caught.
"There" he said, but didn't move away.
For a heartbeat, they stood like that close enough to feel each other's breath, the scent of crushed mint between them. She looked up at him her cheeks warm.
And for once, he looked a little unsure. Like he didn't know what to do next. So she reached out and took his hand. She didn't say anything. She didn't need to.
And he let out a quiet breath , the kind that sounded like a thank you without the words. They walked on like that fingers loosely intertwined, a flower behind his ear and a garden full of light blooming around them.
