i won't make this about morality, because plenty of antagonists and villains are well-written and likeable but... falin just ISN'T likeable. and i'm getting the impression that's on purpose given his relation to the silver kingdom, but the path of making him bree's love interest is a little iffy to me, because he doesn't have much going for him asides from the tragic past. i also didn't appreciate his attempts to break up the very fragile relationship demetrius and adrian had just developed, so there's that (but that's a personal thing).

i mean, i'd absolutely love to see him explored and fleshed out next season beyond his mother and the fighting pits, but i'm just hoping that that is what happens, and he doesn't remain a two-dimensional villain forever while also being bree's two dimensional love interest. she deserves better and the story deserves a good antagonist.

my (probably) controversial castle swimmer opinion is that i secretly would be thrilled if it ends tragically. (ie: kappa killing siren). i will be emotionally devastated and never recover but also. good food.

thinking about ch. 22 of here there be dragons and i swear every time they release another snippet of adrian's backstory i go absolutely FERAL???

i mean, from ch. 2- before we've even met him- there's this intrigue, with who i am pretty sure is the king of the silver kingdom sending adrian specifically to help escort bree, implying something is going on in the silver kingdom,

and then later, when they're at the iron kingdom fort, and the get attacked? after the attack when we see the scars on his neck? there's a whole ass story there that i need to know

and now, in ch. 22, where we see the "reflection"- a feminine, horned version of him. we already know reflections/mirror images and parallels are big in htbd, as seen with bree's dragon-version she saw while dreaming, which obviously is important, since she's the dragon-speaker, but with adrian, there's no big thing that would warrant a parallel like that yet (i mean there IS something we just don't know what yet).

obviously there's SOMETHING there and i am dying not knowing what it is holy fuck i cannot wait for the next piece of lore
