So this is a mixture of me binging writing yesterday but also my newly adjusted expectations for myself that chaps don’t always have to be stupidly long like my last works haha… so I’ve just finished the first chap already! That might be the fastest chap I’ve done in a long time. Just time for a quick proofread and it’ll be up!

Wooo it’s happening the first words of the Itto fic are being written, this is very momentous to me lmao it took a while to build up the courage because I knew once I start it’s started and I’m locked in cuz no way I’m gonna leave it half done, even if it takes me another 3 years!

I feel super rusty (as always when I come back after ages of not writing) but I’m just gonna try push all my own self-expectations to the side and have fun starting a new tale for my favourite character ☺️

Update I wrote for like 6 hrs and wrote 6.6k words… yeah I love it already.

I know for one I’m still immersed in Natlan content but now that I’ve kinda gotten through most of it it’s freeing up some time again so I wanted to gauge interest for any Itto writing I might do!

I know I just uploaded the update that I had finished writing but lowkey I sped through proofreading so it may not be perfect but I’m too excited to fine-comb it right now and it should be pretty good anywayyy. As of this moment I have uploaded part 16 AND 17 right now to AHE! Yayyyy!!

Guys guys guys I’ve finally done it I’ve finished the next big chunk of AHE!! After months of chipping away at it I’ve finally reached this milestone!!

I just have to proofread and get it all nice and then I’ll be dropping 70k words of new content!!

Happy real birthday to Benny boy, the one who somehow got me into writing and that I’ve written a stupid amount for! I’m super hoping he gets some attention in-game soon, it’s been so long, but I’m not gonna hold my breath 😭

For anyone who’s wondering my latest status, it’s that I’ve recently started my proper adult job so I’m getting used to that and that’s where most of my energy is going, though I’m still playing Genshin as always in the background (ft me at 100% in the latest Liyue areas so the interest in Genshin definitely is as strong as ever 😅) and enjoying c.ai. It’s kinda crazy to me that I started SB at the start of my degree as a way to procrastinate studying and now here I am doing the job I worked so hard to get! Life do be like that…

Anyway, having a proper job now does mean I end up with less spare time to spend writing… I just have a tiny bit of AHE I need to do before I can publish more to ao3 except my brain still hasn’t come around to doing it yet. It’ll happen though eventually!

Trying to teach Arataki Itto to analyse literature be like:

“Itto you gotta search for the hidden meaning!”

Itto, frantically turning the book upside down and shaking the pages, in tears: “I CAN’T FIND IT!”

(This somehow came from that one line he says in the new event about the buzzy feeling he got called ‘learning.’ I love him sm)

One thing about me is I will in fact make flowcharts to understand kimono practices because I am nothing if not meticulous about how I want Weaver to be actually knowledgeable about kimonos since that’s their job and so I too must educate myself (call it method acting or what have you).

The context for the flowchart is for example some female customers ask Weaver what they should wear to a wedding, and this is the kind of thought process Weaver would use to choose for them (basing my kimono knowledge off Edo-period Japan standards since Inazuma is closest to that time period of Japanese history).

I just like learning about this stuff idk what to say, it’s cool 😭
