“Arcane magic is not evil. It is the power of order, the power of creation. But, as with all power, it can and was abused.”
He let out a sigh, “Fear not the sword, but the hand who swings it. Although the same can’t be said about fel. It destroys and consumes life. I know very well what I have done.”
“Do you not consider yourself a skill swordsman? I’ve seen fel destroy and consume life, yet you knowingly consumed it to protect your people.” Elyanthe shrugged.
“That is another bias of magic. Arcane magic is just as corrupting as magic. Yet there are people on Azeroth who would honor me a great mage and scoff at you for the energy that courses in your veins.” Her choice of magic did not make her a good person. But his comment about it being abused was true. She knew that all too well.

This made Elyanthe crack a smile. “Well, you technically could judge me, it would just be a bit hypocritical. Our people tend to be a bit... closed minded when it comes to magic. It’s not evil. But it does come with it’s prices.”
Elyanthe raised a brow. It had certainly been a long time since this demon hunter had been apart of their society. How many centuries old was he, she wondered.
“Mages aren’t hated as much in our society anymore. Though some don’t care for it much either, they prefer that children of the night follow the path of Elune or choose the way of the druid.”
|| @elyanthe ||
The demon hunter frowned, as much as the barbs on his forehead allowed him to, “All this in merely over a decade. That’s… odd… But considering what I’ve done to myself, I can never judge you.”

“Of course. All magic comes with a cost. Some costs are just far greater.” At his question she shook her head. “No, I’m a Kaldorei,” she said before adding, “but I am indeed a mage.” Though he hadn’t said it as a question.
Verodis visiablly raised an eyebrow at her statment, “What? How are you not executed? Or exiled.” He clearly showed his long absense from kaldorei socity.

Sirenia gave a short muffled chuckle at the mage’s comment.
“You must be very careful with it though. Even a single crack will inhibit it’s powers.” she stated with caution, looking up her work which now dangled from the night elf’s pale pink neck.
“Elyanthe, I…want to thank you once again for deciding to work with me.” she then said, offering a soft smile, as she wrung her thin hands.
“You will be more help than you think in this crusade against the Burning Legion.”
Elyanthe nodded at the princess’s warning. “I will keep it safe from harm.” She would probably enchant it with a protection spell too, for added effect once she studied the blood magic a bit.
The night elf pressed a fist into an open palm and bowed. “I’m glad to offer my assistance in any ways. Dark times are before us, and I understand the importance of helping rather than waiting on the sidelines. We shall meet again, princess.”
“What are you doing?”
8.) In the shower (omfg I can’t xD)
Sirenia wrapped her arms around herself as she submursed her form into the depths of the wooden wash basin which overflowed with bubbles, completely covering her petite form until only her head and shoulders peaked out above the bubbly water.
Taking pleasure in the warmness of the tub that had been previously heated by flames of her own (of course), the dragonprincess sighed contently, sinking further until only her amber glowing eyes could be seen above the surface. Amber eyes slipped closed.
After an entire week of recuiting champions for the Obsidian League to signing alliance contracts to work with other factions, the bent up stress she hid under her dark-lipped smile could tire out a dragonprincess. It was the first time, in a long time, she was able to relax since moving headquarters to the Broken Isles with the Blacktalon.
Not to meantion, in whatever stresses the Black Prince suffered, the princess herself shared and suffered in as well, and vice versa.
When the front door Sirenia swore she had shut suddenly swung open, amber eyes flew open as she jolted upright in the wooden wash basin.
She stared, shocked as she met glowing gazes with a foreign night elf, who she recognized not to be an agent, that had just walked in on her. With a confused squeak, in a puff of black smoke the dragonprincess turned into her tiny dragon form, and disappeared beneath the bubbles and waters of the wash basin.

Turning his head to look at the other elf, the demon hunter kept his ‘eyes’ at the mage’s face.
“We are not usually refered to as interesting.”

@highpriestessbriyanna
Briyanna slid the last bullet into the box and put it with the finished arrows before pulling another set of arrows to be etched. “I can understand that. Tedious work calms me. It’s why I took up tailoring. Needlework and embroidery are soothing, like this is.”
As she started work on an arrow, she sighed. “I agree. I just want to see as many people as possible return alive and as whole as we can keep them. We’ve already lost too many, and I know it’s just going to keep getting worse until it’s over. I’m afraid for us all.”
“Tailoring is indeed tedious work. I’ve tried my hand at tailoring, to fix up my old robes back when I was younger and lacked the resources, and it never ended well for me. Mostly pricked myself with the needle more than the fabric.
Thankfully I have the gold to pay for services nowadays.” Elyanthe mused as she finished a box of bullets. She set it aside before pulling over a box of arrows.
“This is true. We face war after war but I fear this one is truly the scariest I’ve seen people face. I hear so many stories from the battlefield. I can’t imagine it. I hope things end on the Shore, but I might have to agree, it might only get worse before it gets better.”

@highpriestessbriyanna
Briyanna snorted softly. “I would not call it ‘cushy’, in all honesty,” she murmured, sliding another bullet into the box. “I would call it ‘on call’. You never know when the call will come, and to be honest, considering this is a lot of work here… well.” She shrugged, etching the next round. “This is tedious. Detailed. One wrong stroke or improper application of dust and instead of an enchanted attack, it could blast the faces off not only the one firing, but everyone around them as well.”
She set the bullet into the box and looked up. “Or it could backfire right here, and destroy you. I would not dare to say this work is well. Anything but a battle fought from the comfort of a chair, instead of on a battlefield.” She smiled, warmly. “Work like this earns the reward of going home, just like all the others. Home, to familiar comforts. No?”
Elyanthe merely shrugged. "That is true I suppose. Tedious is true, but I enjoy tedious work. Perhaps I'm strange but I prefer the repetitive work than not knowing what'll happen the next day... well, for the most part." Of course she'd spent plenty of time 'spicing her life up', but that was only on a very rare occassion.
"I merely hope that almost everyone makes it home at the end of this war." Elyanthe sighed as she etched another rune. "And I certainly hope no one gets harmed because of a faulty rune, though I doubt it's very likely."

@obsidianprinxess
Her glowing eyes flickered for a moment. She was…a little surprised the elf had chosen to actually help her. But none the less…glad.
“Your knowledge will be a weapon within itself Elyanthe.” she said smiling. Her eyes shifted and she turned to the stairs for a moment, before looking back at the mage.
“I will be right back.”
Without another word, the dragoness transformed in the blink of an eye and disappeared up the staircase.
As the sound of beating wings accompanied her, she returned moments later and shifted once again. Within her thin hands she held a charm on a chain, and…almost too small to be seen, a needle.
Sirenia took the needle, and pricked her index finger with it. She watched as a single glowing bead of blood the color of magma bubbled up from the miniscule wound on her finger. The dragonprincess then held the clear gem up to her finger, where she carefully pressed the blood into the magical charm, which actually absorbed the blood, storing it within the gem, and turning it the glowing color of the dragonprincess’s fiery lifeforce.
“This, is for you.” she said, holding up the gem which dangled on the golden chain.
“This gem, which is now connected to my senses by my blood, will start to glow shall I ever need you.” Sirenia handed the gem to the night elf.
“Remarkably, we can even communicate through it. So you do not have to always be with me, to remain by my side.”
Blood magic. It was a wondrous power used by their flight. Sirenia had not even known this until her Prince taught her about it’s marvelous powers.
The mage waited patiently as the dragoness transformed and disappeared. When Sirenia returned, she watched her with a curious look in her eye. Elyanthe cocked one head to the side as she watched the gem absorb the magma colored blood.
She accepted the necklace with some caution. "Fascinating... unsanitary, I'm sure, but... fascinating."
She held up the gem up to her eye as if trying to figure out the workings of the blood magic, a magic she had read about but had never really seen in person.
Her attention snapped back to Sirenia. "That's wonderful! With this I can teleport to you in a breeze. A genetic signature works pretty similarly to a magical one."
She put the necklace on, it hung just a bit shorter than the brilliant diamond and sapphire necklace that matched her ring. She touched a finger to the new gemstone as she looked down at it, her expression neutral. "So if it glows, I'll know you need me, and we can communicate through it. Very straight forward."
“What are you doing?”

“Well…thank you but,”
The dragonprincess then rose a dark brow as she studied the mage.
“I know for a fact that neither of us requested a mage specifically.” she said putting her hands together. She glided away from the fireplace, looking away from the mage.
“However. I did request any hand that could wield a weapon.” Sirenia’s eyes fell back on Elyanthe.
“They must have seen you were fit to answer my call to arms, for I am currently recruiting my own forces to soon raid the Tomb of Saragaras in aid to help bring the Burning Legion to it’s knees once and for all.” Sirenia had held up a clamped a fist before dropping her arm once again.
“Being the mage I know you to be, from what I have studied among you mortals is that you partake in a class which holds abilities in intellect to one of the highest standards. And this is what I love about your class.” she said with a smile. Sirenia pressed her index fingers together and held them to her lips as she thought for a moment, before she met glowing gazes with the night elf.
“What do you say Elyanthe? Should I need to call on you for your knowledge…would you be willing to be my advisor?” Sirenia spoke gently. She did not know if the mage would accept the offer, being that this was all so very sudden. However, it was not her decision to tell the mage what she could and could not do.
“The choice is entirely yours.”
The elf’s lips formed a thin line as she contemplated the dragoness’s words. She could wield a weapon of course, not that she exactly wanted to face the Legion threat herself or survive. Perhaps she should have taken up her husband’s offer to train her a little more.
“Fighting is… questionable for me. I don’t know if I can offer you any use in the physical fight against the Legion.” Elyanthe said as she folded a hand into the other, her index finger tracing the edges of the gemstone of her of ring, thinking for a moment.
Part of her wanted to refuse and return home to Stormwind. But she knew a great deal about the Legion. It was one of the biggest threats to Azeroth and if the heroes failed their raid on the Tomb, well… her cushy life and the love of her life would be gone forever. Perhaps it would prove worthy to assist, for the sake of those things, just this once…
“However, I can certainly offer you knowledge. I know many things and many spells and I promise to assist you in whatever way I can, princess.”
“What are you doing?”

💘 What are the ways my muse says ‘I love you’ without actually saying it?
For one, she actually rarely says it first, if at all. Elyanthe actually truly hates interacting with others. She’d much rather spend her time at home studying. One of the ways she says “I love you” is by relaxing in a room while she reads. She does this often with her husband. Admittedly, she’s also conjured up a mirror image to cuddle with him while she studies (He was well aware of it). Lastly, she’s been researching time spells to extend one’s age. She wants her husband to live much longer, as he’s human and she’s a night elf.
She also says she loves him by saving his ass when plans go south.

Sirenia’s smile reached her eyes, making them seem to glow twice as bright. She enjoyed the fact that she had managed a smile from the mage. She could practically hear her consort’s wince if he were standing here.
“I was quite the surprise to him as well, and not a pleasant one at that.” she said, still smiling. The light fabric of her dress rippled about her small frame as she came to stand closer to the night elf before the fireplace. She looked into the dancing flames which flicked in the hearth.
“However, things have since then changed between us, and now we stand together to protect Azeroth…and one another…for the better.” she said as her voice had gone softer towards the end of her statement. Sirenia’s glowing gaze met the elf’s once again as a small hint of shyness shown in her smile, an expression which fit her tender age.
“And…to be honest. I am not one to talk much either…I usually leave that to him.” Sirenia clasped her hands to play with her long nails absentmindedly.
“The Black Prince is more…eloquent, than I am…” she said.
“And he certainly doesn’t meet his champions in the nude…”
Sirenia tried her hardest not to smile despite any reaction from the night elf mage.
“Yet…here we are.” Sirenia didn’t care. Her smile returned upon her girlish face.
“Is there any reason that brings you to our headquarters here on the Broken Isles other than the battle against the Legion Lady Lunacrest?” she asked softly. She slightly tilted her head to one side, the light of the fire caught in the ringlets of her hair, making the dark, curly strands shine when she moved her head.
Elyanthe turned to stare into the fire. Fire had it’s own tendencies, chaotic and rarely controllable, there was a reason it had been the hardest magic for her to master.
“It’s honorable that you two wish to protect Azeroth. Many brave souls are putting their lives on the line to do so. I am not one of those. I assist with enchantments for soldiers, but most of my work has been unlocking Nightborne techniques of magic. I wouldn’t last a second down there on the battle field.” she loosed a sigh before looking to Sirenia.
“I was told by some of the mages of Dalaran to come here. Had you not requested a mage? If not, I’m sure I can assist somehow. I may not be skilled in battle, but my magic is strong, if I may say so myself.” Elyanthe couldn’t deny she had talent, one that she worked extremely hard to refine. Though she didn’t join battles, she was still crafty and had many uses for her magic.
“Also, I believe you speak quite eloquently.” she said with a faint smile.
“What are you doing?”
