landon couldn’t resist brynn when she was pouting. he could take down a whole crowd of people, he could be a little cold and distant at times, but her pout always melted him. it was definitely a weakness of his. “jumping off a bridge would be amazing. dancing though…” he said teasingly, wrapping his arms around her waist and keeping her close. he could dance with her, if that’s what she wanted. 

               they both had reputations to uphold, family images to protect. it was nice that the pair could be themselves around each other. “ i beg to differ. ” the blonde laughed softly. she swayed back & forth to the music with him, dancing slowly even though the song wasn’t a slow one. “ thank you for putting yourself through the gruesome pain of dancing. ” she smiled softly, tilting her head up slightly to look at his face.

“i thought i had some ideas when i started. but everything just feels wrong.” he shook his head, hand glazing over the glass case where a bunch of little trinkets were being kept. no help at all to his greater task. “i was going to get her a book on physiology, but… she’s all set. it’s a… what do you get for a sister who has everything situation.”

               “ yeah, a book wouldn’t be the first thing that would come to mind for me. ” for anyone’s gift, really. though his crowd were those who didn’t consider reading a favorite past time. the people he knew would have preferred to steal as a past time rather than open a book. “ i can’t relate to that situation. must be super hard for you guys. ”

luna had always heard whispers about nikolas potentially being a rebel associates, but luna never really listened to rumors or anything. she had met nikolas and knew that she could trust him. and the feelings that they had for each other were real at sometime. and that their friendship was a real one. she took a seat next to him. “because you are real and everything different than the people i’m around all day.” she chuckled.

               nikolas’ feelings for luna had almost overcame his desire to be part of the rebels. that was part of the reason why they needed to break up. things couldn’t continue to go the way they were. he would keep luna out of things for as long as possible. though, eventually the rebellion would catch up to them. “ yeah, a lot of people in your world seem fake. the downfall of growing up with your whole life being served on a silver platter. ”

“it really is a huge party. and like i want to make it perfect since she was the one who planned me a beyond amazing eighteen surprise birthday party. so i only feel it’s right to return the favor and make hers amazing.” she explained to brynn. “i might take you up on that offer.”

               “ of course, i completely understand. we have to make sure what we do for the people we love amounts to what they do for us. ” brynn smiled brightly & tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear. “ what else is on your list ? ”

Bellamy’s temper was usually quick to flare up, and tonight was no different. It hadn’t even taken that much to rile her up, after a few drinks she was anyones to fight. The other hadn’t even known what hit them, as she grabbed the back of their head and slammed it down on the bar top, before throwing them to the floor. “ Wanna say that shit to me again ?” 

               mireia watched from afar. a sigh escaped her lips as she got up & walked over to the fighting pair. “ i don’t think they’re going to be stupid enough to try anything else. ” the blonde put a hand on the arm of bellamy. “ come on, getting arrested isn’t worth whatever the dumbass said. ”

Felix couldn’t help but smile. He never passed down an invitation to dance, especially when he was out for a night of fun. With the confidence that only wealth and a few shots of tequila could bring someone, he moved over to the woman, dancing alongside her. “Do you actually know this song?!” he called above the music. 

               brynn smiled brightly, a 100 watt smile on display, as the male joined her. “ yes ! ” she stood still, clapping, for a moment. she started dancing again, closing her eyes as she bounced up & down. she leaned in to him to hear what he was saying. the music was loud & pulsing. “ not really ! ” she laughed, shaking her head. “ this is still fun, though ! ”

      ❛   first,   you gotta let me know where you’re getting all this energy from,   brynn…   'cause after work,   all i want is a stiff drink,   i can’t say i’ve ever found dance the more appealing option.   ❜   utters electra,    giving the blonde a once-over before gently shaking her head,   a teasing smile pulling at painted lips.   with said drink in hand,   the kincaid finally edges closer to her associate,   beginning to move to the beat of the music as encouraged by the girl beside her.   ❛   is there a reason for the dancing, may i ask?   something to celebrate?   or is this just a casual tuesday night for you,    banner?   ❜  

               brynn laughed as she continued to dance. she wasn’t even paying attention to the beat anymore. her moves were off beat & just plain silly. “ i don’t know ! ” she honestly didn’t. maybe it was from sitting in class all day. her brain was tired, but her body needed to move. when electra began to join her, she bumped her hips against the other’s playfully. “ no reason. just a casual tuesday night. goodbye thirsty thursdays. the new craze is twisting tuesdays. ” she laughed, doing the twist.

“Did I spook you?” Felix raised a brow as he rounded into the aisle. With as much grace as he could muster (it wasn’t exactly a graceful thing, sitting down in an old, dusty chair), he sat himself in the seat behind Nik. “This would make a good club now. Someone should buy it up, put the building to good use.”

               “ nah, ” the male chuckled as felix took a seat. he looked back at the stage, nodding his head. “ could make a good club. or someone could turn it into a shelter for the homeless. they already utilize the building, anyways. ” he stated, leaning forward & resting his arms on the back of the chair in front of him.

dancing wasn’t landon’s favorite hobby in the world, but brynn made it look so enticing as she ran out to the dance floor. the way her hair bounced as she shook her hips drew him in. he was great at slow dancing, but on the spot wasn’t his strength. “the things i do for you..” he said as he reached out to grab her hips and pull her in close, starting to dance with her like she wanted. 

               fortunately, brynn knew that if her words weren’t enough to convince landon to join her, she could resort to pouting. being friends for so long before becoming official, the pair knew each other’s weaknesses. a small squeal of excitement escaped her lips when he agreed & joined her on the dance floor. “ it’s dancing. it’s not like i’m asking you to jump off a bridge. ” she teased, wrapping her arms his neck.

“ah, i understand. sometimes i miss university yet, sometimes, i really, really don’t.” truthfully, sijoo can’t remember most of her time in college thanks to her rather intense party phase that didn’t seem to stop until classes did. “it is a relief. i’ve been working on it for a while now. thankfully it’s well received. not that i’m surprised.” sijoo winked at brynn while patting herself on the back for her work. it wasn’t often that sijoo allowed herself to fail, after all. 

               “ really ? i don’t think i could ever miss university. i still have to do more schooling, which sucks. ” she laughed softly & smiled. “ i’m not surprised either. your work is always amazing & a favorite of nearly every person in creon. if they don’t, they must be crazy. i swear, my wardrobe is pretty much only your designs. ”

god   forbid  the  girls   go   out   to   a   bar   without   being   approached.   it   was   her   day   off.   she   sighed,   turning   to  her   companion   for  the   night,   a   girl   that   reminded   her   a   bit   of   herself.   “   the   next   man   who   comes   up   here   with   a   line   like   that   last   one   is   going   to   get   a   drink   in   the   face,   ”   she   hums,   twirling   the   ice   around   in   her   glass.   “   pathetic.   ”    (    @elysiicn   )

               mireia laughed softly at the words that left the other. “ have they been as bad as something like, ‘did you have lucky charms for breakfast ? because you look magically delicious !’ ” she brought her own glass to her lips, taking a sip of the pink liquid of the raspberry vodka cocktail.

“   brynn   !   ”   the   woman   hummed   with   the   soft   shake   of   her   head.   “   how   many   times   do   i   have   to    tell   you   that  i   don’t   dance  ?   ”   not   well   anyway.    “   you’re   doing   fine   on   your   own   !   ”

               brynn giggled at her sister in law’s reaction. “ you’ll have to keep telling me until the day you dance with me because i will never give up ! ” she held her hands in the air, waving them around as she twirled in a circle. at this point she was just being silly with the dancing. “ it’s never fun dancing on my own. ”

Bellamy merely arched an eyebrow at the request, having merely been there for drinks before heading off to meet her sister. “I don’t dance. Not in public anyways, sorry sugar.”

               the blonde groaned, still dancing to the beat. she gave a playful roll of her eyes. “ i can’t dance, but i’m still dancing. i’m sure you won’t embarrass yourself more than i’m embarrassing myself right now. ”

She had been searching for, of course, her father. He’d bailed once more on the family home, and she’d been alerted to the fact that he was gone, and she’d begun to search. She had a few places she liked to hit up first, and the theater was one of them, knowing that if he was likely to be anywhere that was one of them. When she heard a voice though she jolted, before raising an eyebrow, “Uh, yeah you seen an older guy, late fifties, looks older. Probably yelling about the injustices of cutting someone off from booze.”

               nikolas racked his brain for a memory resembling the man the female description. though it wasn’t extremely detailed. there were a few older men sitting in the back entrance ---- it was easier to escape being close to the door should the need arise ---- but none of them bore any semblance to the old male being described. nikolas gave a quick shake of his head. “ can’t say that i have. a lot of the people that squat here are at shelters at this time, or scrounging for change in the alleys. ”

asher had, in fact, recognized him, and was looking at him like someone just through him a life preserver. “it’s for brynn.” he said it quickly, like that’s what was going to get nikolas to stop in his tracks. luna and brynn were so close, he’d already know what brynn would want. “for her graduation. i don’t want to be cliche… but i don’t want to be… weird with it.”

               “ for brynn. ” the male reiterated, as if he needed any aid in bringing the face of the girl to mind. he knew how close luna was to brynn & that did open up his mind to helping the male in his task. though the problem of him being a terrible gift giver still stood in the way. “ i guess i can help, though not sure how much my input will be useful. do you have any ideas at all ? ”

he had come to the abandoned theater to clear his head and think through things. he had the craving again. the need for the drugs that he used to pump through his system before he was seventeen. he knew the old building because it was around the spot where he used to have his deals go down. he’d found it once when he was desperate, needing a warm place to shoot up, and he’d returned to the spot many times after. though, he hadn’t been back in almost two years. he swallowed. “hey.” he said. “what makes one come to a place like this?”

               “ any shitty life where one needs a reprieve from the world. ” he stated, leaning back into the seat. “ the desperation of needing a dry place to sleep. ” nikolas tacked on at the end. he could go on & on in all honesty. there were too many reasons why someone would prefer this dusty place with stiff air & a lot of them were not good. “ what is bringing you to this place ? what could be so bad for a member of one of the four families ? ” nik questioned, his gaze moving up towards the male.

               “ dance with me ! ” brynn laughed, running out to the dance floor. she began dancing to the music, still looking at the other. “ come on ! ” she beckoned them forward, shaking her hips.
