I’m pretty bored so here’s a more in depth post about Surprise, its a Smeet.

(tw/cw warning for mentions of mpreg and sexual content. Zim and Dib are both of legal age and are in their early 20s.)

So the basic premise is Dib getting Zim pregnant despite him being ftm. How does this happen? Well, turns out Irkens can get pregnant from fluid swallowing (which is a headcanon of mine). Zim just didn’t think about it because of how him and Dib are different species.

Zim starts experiencing symptoms and he jokingly takes a pregnancy test, thinking that it’s definitely something else. But to his horror, it comes back positive. He takes another just to be sure, and it’s also positive.

He locks himself in the bathroom and starts to cry. This shouldn’t be happening to him. He’s afraid of what’s to come. He fears the worst. He’s afraid of telling Dib as they’ve never really talked about having kids or being parents. (Well, other than Dib mentioning that he wouldn’t be comfortable with carrying a baby). He knows that Dib definitely doesn’t hate kids but he doesn’t really know how he feels about them otherwise.

Dib hears him crying and asks him to please open the door, Zim hides the tests and he comes out and just tells Dib that he needs some time alone. Dib respects that and gives him some space.

Zim becomes very paranoid about Dib finding out and hides it from him. He fears Dib’s reaction. He’s convinced he’ll react poorly despite not having any evidence. He thinks that Dib will leave him with the smeet or make him give them up. He does his best to hide everything. This stresses him out quite a bit, he only really feels at peace when he’s by himself.

Dib, however, has been noticing that Zim’s been acting very strange. He’s noticed that Zim’s been wearing very baggy clothes and not the usual skin tight ones he typically wears. Dib also notices that Zim keeps eating things he normally hates or just very strange food combinations when he thinks he isn’t looking. He also notices that Zim doesn’t like it when he tries to touch his stomach or anything and doesn’t enjoy cuddles anymore. Dib finds it very strange as that’s something Zim usually loves. He’s a bit hurt by it and thinks he may have done something wrong.

Time goes by, and now the time has come for Zim to have the smeet. He’s terrified but he manages to do everything by himself. He doesn’t even have any help from Gir.

Now, he finally holds his smeet for the first time after getting him all clean. It’s a cold winter day and Zim gets him all bundled up in a blanket. Zim overjoyed to finally meet his smeet (Bug). He wipes joyful tears from his eyes and tells his smeet that he’s his Dad. He tells him that he has another Dad too (Dib). But he’s not there. Bug just looks at him curiously. Bug has Zim’s green skin and has the same kind of eyes that Irkens do. His are pink with a yellowish undertone. But unlike Irkens, Bug has a cute little tuft of black hair on the top of his head.

Zim smiles softly and thinks “Yeah, that's definitely Dib's son” sweetly. He tells Bug Dib’s name and that he looks a lot like him, but he tells him that he’s not sure how Dib will feel about him.

Zim tells Bug that he’ll always be there for him, but he tears up a bit knowing he may not be able to keep him. He feels guilty not telling Dib but wasn’t sure how to explain it to him.

After having some bonding time with Bug, Zim has to go to the store. He finally tells Gir about Bug which goes well. (He didn’t tell Gir because he knew Gir would’ve definitely told Dib). Zim tells him to not leave the house.

Zim then places Bug on the couch and covers him a baby blanket. He tells Bug that he’ll be back from the store soon and gives him a small kiss on his head. And with a final stroke of Bug’s back, Zim leaves.

Meanwhile, Dib has become very concerned for Zim as of late. So he decided to go check on him. Soon he finds a sleeping Bug on the couch and picks him up and holds him. Bug is a bit scared of Dib at first but he quickly learns that Dib is a safe person. Dib takes care of Bug, like feeding him a bottle. He also snuggles with Bug and shows him mcr. (Gotta expose the emo shit to them young, am I right?)

Once Zim comes home, Dib asks him where he got Bug. Zim reveals that he had Bug. Dib is confused because he shouldn’t have been able to get Zim pregnant but him and Zim decided that they’ll figure it all out later. They then just cuddle with Bug as a family. :)

Dib and Zim soon tell Gaz about Bug and she thinks he’s a cutie patootie. Dib is afraid of telling his Dad about Bug, even though Membrane knows Zim’s an alien.

But Membrane does find out one early morning when he finds Dib and Bug in the kitchen. Membrane is just like “you and Zim-“ and Dib confirms it. But tells him that he did not have Bug and Zim did. Membrane doesn’t even question it though bc he’s seen some crazy shit atp. He thinks Bug is very cute. (And also questions why he’s wearing a Fall Out Boy shirt, which Dib replies with “He has two emo Dads.” ).

It’s sometime after Bug has been born and Zim comes home from work (he works at Membrane Labs.) and he pulls Dib aside and awkwardly tells him that they’re having a smeet again. Dib cuddles him close and gets excited and they both decide to tell Bug. :) Bug has a cute reaction and is excited too.

Over the next months, Dib spoils Zim <3 he gives him lots of love. It’s a much better experience for Zim this time around. (Carrying Bug was a bit traumatic for him).

One night Zim awkwardly tells Dib that he’s probably going to give birth soon and Dib fucking panics. Zim tries to calm him down but Dib is just scrambling around the house. Bug is a bit confused as to why his Dad (well, one of them anyway) is panicking.

Thankfully everything goes smoothly and they finally get to meet their new smeet. :)

Dib tells Zim that he’s very proud of him and kisses his cheek while he holds the new smeet. Bug cuddles with his parents. Zim introduces himself to the smeet and he also introduces her to Dib and Bug. He then hands her to Dib and Dib gets a little emotional (in a good way) <3 rarely lets himself cry but he allows himself to this time.

The smeet looks just like Zim but she has cute fluffy antennae and a little tuft of black hair. Dib tells Zim that he should name her because he named Bug. At first Zim jokingly suggests Zim/Dib jr but Dib laughs and he’s like “no”. So Zim suggests Olene instead after the moth genus because Dib’s a moth loving nerd. Dib likes the name and they choose it. :)

After that they snuggle with their smeets. :)

So yeah that’s basically the main story. I’ve also written alternate versions of this AU and I’m even planning a multi-chapter one (which I’ve named “Emo Space Dads”) I also have some ideas for fics about teenage Bug. (Specifically as a 14 year old). So yeah. But yeah I hope you guys enjoyed reading this lol.

I probably won’t post my art of this au much here or else where but here’s my ZaDr smeebies and their parents!!! Their names are Bug (smeeby/smeet who’s wearing the same shirt as Dib.) and Olene (smeeby/smeet with fluffy antennas.)

Their Dads’ love them very much :) (even if they’re a bit of a handful at times…)

Oh, here’s some fun facts about the smeebies!

Bug has a nasally voice. (He inherited it from Dib. He has a tendency to get sick unfortunately which doesn’t help) He’s also very quiet most of the time and is a sweetheart. He loves being held. He loves both his parents very much but is especially close with Dib. He likes hanging out with Dib in his office and sits in his lap while Dib does paranormal research. (He does that when he’s not talking care of the smeets or when he’s not working. He works at Hot Topic.)

Olene basically sounds like Gaz and Zim’s voices mixed together, she also has a speech pattern that’s similar to Zim’s. She also talks in third person most of the time and is a bit feisty and sassy. Still sweet though. She loves both her parents but she’s especially close with Zim. But she also likes Dib because he’s more like “the fun parent”. She has an interest in mechanics thanks to Zim. She likes to hang out with Zim in his laboratory downstairs.

Bug and Olene get along fine for the most part, but sometimes Olene gets a bit fussy and she isn’t exactly the best at sharing, which causes them to fight. (Dib and Zim break them up, no one ends up getting hurt)

Bug and Olene were also born a year apart. But Olene definitely sees Bug as her big brother despite this :)

Hi!! Welcome to my blog. I’m not comfortable sharing my name but you can call me Emo! (Or dib I guess.) You may know me as Em0_Dad_D1b on ao3!! :3 I use feminine and gender neutral terms/pronouns! (Dude and guy are fine btw!) mainly she, they and it. Please do not refer to me using he, his, or him.

Basically this is just a blog for me to post my cursed zadr mpreg stuff. If you hate and or dislike mpreg and or zadr this is not the place for you. Just block me and move on. Zim and Dib are the same age and adults in my writing.

I block freely. Just throwing that out there.

I initially wrote my series Surprise, it’s a Smeet as a joke but it quickly became a genuine universe/AU of mine. However, i did not post it on my main accounts out of fear of harassment or being chased out. I was also worried about what most of my friends would think if they knew I wrote it. I also am an artist, but I don’t think I’ll be sharing any of it here for personal reasons.

AU information:

basically the main premise is that Dib somehow managed to knock up Zim despite him being him being ftm because of some strange irken biology. And now, they have two smeets, Bug and Olene. (her name isn’t actually a play on Jolene, fun fact. She’s actually named after the moth genus! Zim suggested it thinking Dib would like it because he’s a nerd. 😭)

I mostly wrote it as a joke as I thought it’d be funny but I also just wanted to write about Dib being a good dad (and Zim too) because I am not only a sucker for cute relationships between a parent and a child but also because of the irony of it. Dib and Zim are probably not people you’d think would be good parents, but for some reason they are. (yes, I am aware that is ooc but I do not give a shit. :3)

Oh Zim and Dib are also emos in my au!! (Zim also has scene influence) I want to say that fics take place during 2011-2012!! :) Zim and Dib are in their early 20s in the stories.
