there are plenty of more important things that I think ao3 should address and even like. plenty of more important tags that I think should be fixed however it is extremely funny to me that if you tag something as "newtypes" it's linked to the canonical tag "Newtypes (Gundam Wing)" when not only is that not the show where newtypes originated, it also just straight up does not have actual newtypes in it at all

It's what I saw with Four too, but it's so much more blatant here that now I know it's intentional! And Four at least had something resembling a real connection with Kamille, where with Rosammy he just keeps falling back on, "It's me, your big brother!" when he knows perfectly well that's not true and it's just a different mode of brainwashed dissociation. He's playing a role and it's doomed to fail.

When I get free time.. My brain goes to Fire Emblem Three houses. I got the FE brain rot now. It gives me so much inspiration. Byleth is one hell of a fun character.

Suletta Mercury really did just show up at a space military academy under an assumed identity, demonstrate her terrifying proficiency for killing people with giant robots, get romantically involved with the child of her father's killer... and then end up happily married to same.

Now, obviously her being told in the very first episode that being gay is normal wasn't the only factor in preventing her from becoming a monster in her mother's image, but it sure did help. More Gundam AU settings should try legalizing same-sex marriage. Great results so far.

And she's only second place on the list of core UC Gundam characters with the highest body count that might have been avoided if someone wasn't trying too hard to be heterosexual.
