Actually, I'm coming back to this. I'm not done.

One of my most important F/O's is. A character from a spinoff game in a kids video game franchise. That game is 3 years old now. The franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary next year. The company itself is a whopping 136 years old! That F/O? He's my ex-husband from a primarily political marriage. It was a mix of a marriage blanc and a lavender marriage as well. He's my ex-husband though, and I'll never let anyone forget it.

I'd absolutely be one of those self-shippers whose self-ship gets trash talked because he's my ex husband. Because he accused me of literal treason (its canon to the game. dw it gets better ^•^ ). So we got a divorce.

He is one of my dearest F/O's. He is my ex-husband. He is a stinky old military man who is not hot in the slightest with way too much political power (even if he uses it well. except when his anger management issues make him irrational. but that was just the one time ^•^ its fine!). He is divorced. He is Commander Kamodo of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and he is my pookie boo bear.

He is also standing right behind me, nodding as I write this because he agrees that no one should be made fun of for their self-ships! ^•^

Nah dude, I think you're right. You shouldn't be putting down other self-shippers for *checks notes* doing the same activity as you in a different way to achieve the results they want, even if they aren't the same results you want for yourself.

Is it really so much to ask for a bit of common decency? The way you portray other "weird"/"bad" self-shippers is how the self-ship haters see literally all of us.

Can’t stop thinking about having to listen to the two bearish tenants in the apartment next door fucking nasty style whenever they’re home.

Every time you’ve passed them outside they’ve been nice enough- well, the one you’ve properly met is, but whenever he stops you to chat, you can’t help but vividly recall the way he fucks his big, brooding partner like a man starved each night.

Sadly, it’s hard to find the words to ask an imposing guy like him if he can go have sex in a hotel or something, unable to find a polite way to tell him that he sounds like an elk in heat when he fucks- so you don’t. The expectant glint in his eyes told you that even if you did manage to bring it up, it would only spur him on.

The distinct and audible shuffle of moving furniture one morning as you slip on your coat to head out for work makes you hopeful they’ve decided to relocate, and as your thoughts drift later throughout your tedious shift you find yourself praying for someone nice and quiet to occupy the vacant spot; your work-addled brain dreaming up possible new tenants and their imaginary backstories. It’s nice.

After a tiring day you’re more than ready to fall into the first peaceful sleep you’ve had in months, however, to your horror, you find out they’ve moved their bed into the room directly across from your own, Their headboard knocking into the thin wall behind you with a brutish vigour you had previously thought impossible for them to top.

Covering your ears with your pillow and rolling onto your side doesn’t do much to stop the low yearn pooling in your gut when your bed is being rhythmically shaken by their momentum- nor does the shocking sound of your name being spilled out messily in between their own.

it depends tbh, and mostly on which f/o we're talking about.

Because it we're talking about my NUMEROUS Doctor Who f/o's, then neutral unless it's another f/o (eg. River Song or Jack Harkness when talking about the Doctor), and that also applies to my SCP f/o's.

But if we're talking about my TMA f/o's then it's neutral bordering on dislike unless the CLI is also an f/o (Bc I don't like most of the chars ppl ship Martin with, but I have my exceptions. Mostly Jon. I like Jon. Jon is allowed as long as he shares)

And if we're talking about my Mysterious Benedict Society (BOOKS not the stupid show >:[ ) familial f/o, then I'd have to go with dislike bc I don't like my f/o's adoptive family much with the exception of her siblings. That is MY daughter, you can't have her.

And then there's my TMagP f/o and he doesn't have a CLI yet if at all, but if he did it'd be a big ol "fuck no get away from them" from me.
