Modern AU! Hmm let's see...

Sasuke might live off nothing but coffee, Redbull, and energy bars if left to it, Kakashi's the one that actually tries to eat proper meals (and cooks them) more out of discipline than anything else but then Sasuke comes into his life and he starts getting experimental with his meal prep.

Kakashi prefers not to drive and takes transit everywhere. After all, when else is he gonna get to read uninterrupted? Sasuke is usually the one that drives them when they do take the car.

When it comes to jobs...I can see Kakashi as an architect or a surgeon or something that uses both his brain and his hands. Sasuke is harder career-wise...may have to think about it.

I think this even in canon verse but Kakashi knows all the tech, keeps up with it, Sasuke thinks TikTok is a cheap watch and Instagram is a new word for polaroid. Kakashi still prefers hardcopy books to e-readers though.

Sasuke hates the journey and wants to get to the destination, flying especially is a nightmare - sitting still for that long drives him mad.

They live in one half of a nice little duplex in one of those quiet pockets of the city.

They have at least one pet!

lovesong

i was trying to think of a title for this when i remembered a lyric from lovesong by the cure (lyrics on genius.com or song on spotify)

whenever i'm alone with you you make me feel like i am home again whenever i'm alone with you you make me feel like i am whole again

^^^that's the part that gets me the most, but the whole thing could be from either of them to either of them. (and it could probably work for like, millions of other ships too, but shhh lol) i listened to the song for most of the time i was drawing this, and it just KEPT hitting me in the feels lol

i did the sketch and posted it a couple of places, then did the work of clean lines/flats/cel-shading, and then i could not decide which one i liked better! here's the sketch post.

this picture, simple as it is, exists for four reasons

1) someone sent me an Ask on tumblr saying something like, can they kiss? and i'm assuming they meant kakasasu. however, i replied privately asking for clarification, so i lost the ask + i don't remember who it was ^^;;; BUT I SO WANTED TO DRAW THEM KISSING AFTER THAT.

2) thoughtful comment by @emberswrites about eye contact that i loved! SOMEDAY i will draw them with both of their eyes open at once :D

3) another thoughtful comment by @breyito about the sharingan activating in moments of high emotion that i also loved!

4) i wanted to draw more clothed/unclothed lmao

this might need a background, and i might add one :) i kinda like the clean, minimalistic look tho

ok so i'm posting this sketch, and i may delete it. it's the first thing i've drawn in over a month, and i'm VERY rusty. but it's also the first kakasasu i've drawn in YEARS and years (and years) :o so it feels kinda special? idk i love them ok

i gotta say, i don't like sasuke's boruto design lol and it's gonna take some getting used to. (if i *can't* get used to it, i might go back to drawing him the way i *thought* he'd look aged up, back in the day, before all the time skippyness) but drawing kakashi was so surreal. it was like coming home @_@ yay for long-term muscle memory! i have missed them and i didn't even realize it til like, yesterday! lol
