You’ll meet her, she’s very pretty, even though sometimes she’s sad for many days at a time. You’ll see, when she smiles, you’ll love her.

When I first started at Towson, I first noticed how smoke-filled it was and remember thinking “wow, this is what it’s like not to be sheltered by the public school system”. You literally had to hold your breath going into Linthicum. And it was much more diverse in that building. I think the majority of my classes were in there. But maybe because Liberal Arts didn’t exist yet….and the Nursing Department was in Burdick Hall. And there was this girl who came out of my advisors office just crying and my advisor then sat down with me and told me I wasn’t good enough just yet to make it. She even offered to pay for me to retake my class cuz I had to do better. I had to have a back up plan. Also the Awkward Steps were still a thing….and the most awkward walking experience. Also I have almost every Towerlight from the first four years at Towson….including my favorite article about the squirrel that climbed four floors up the side of one of the towers. I guess what I’m trying to say is, I thought college would last forever. But it didn’t. At least undergrad. And now I’m days away from not being a full time student and that’s weird to me. Like my first semester at Towson is so vivid and the campus looked and felt so different….I’m ready to say goodbye though [for now].
