i drew this when i was bored in class (as per request of my sibling) but that's besides the point. (spoilers for later in the show, maybe season 3 but i'm too lazy to check) this is a REAL GENUINE QUESTION. and idk if anyone's asked this before and PLEASE READ IK IT'S LONG BUT THIS HAS BEEN BOTHERING ME. is it implied that Elise and Dan are cousins??? bc they never expand on it but in that episode where they go over to Elise's parents' house, her mom is revealed to just want Dan's deviled eggs recipe because it tastes just like her mother's, and it's also revealed Dan stole the recipe from his grandma after she died. is this implying that Elise's parents are Dan's aunt and uncle? i only ask because, again, they never expand on it. LET ME BE CLEAR, since it was never expanded on and could honestly be a total coincidence or just some kind of plot device, i don't think this is canon and i will not stop anyone from shipping Dan and Elise in any way, whether that be Chris x Dan x Elise (i love this ship broooo) or just Elise x Dan. this is just a thought that's been on my mind. if you read this thank you so much LOL
