Dartz as a history teacher be like:
You are an immortal who has been alive for over 2000 years. Nowadays, you work as a history teacher. Thing is, a lot of the history textbooks are just flat-out WRONG, and you would know; you were there for a lot of the events they cover. Fed up, you decide to teach what ACTUALLY happened.

Evading Destiny cover art
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Medium: Prismacolor and Copic Sketch Markers, Prismacolor pencils, Sakura gel, and Faber ink pens. Background made in PSPv8.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For those of you who enjoyed my story: Retrieving Destiny, here's the cover pic for the sequel; Evading Destiny. Which I will probably start posting here next week. ^_^
I decided on a Sailor Moon style group image to show the two main pairings in the story; Yuugi & Atem, and Dartz and Tomoya 'cause why not. (If you don't know who Tomoya is, then you need to check out the first few volumes of the manga.) Dartz' hair is a little dark, but this is the first time I've drawn and colored him, so I had to work with the colors I had on hand. I'm planning on drawing him and Tomoya a bit more, so I'll be ordering some more lighter aqua markers to try and get it right. Other than that I'm really pleased with how this came out.
BTW: Before anybody mentions it....Dartz only has bi-colored eyes after he's possessed by the Orichalos. Look at his eyes in the flashback scenes and up until he takes one of the stones, his eyes are both gold. So anytime I draw Dartz as a good guy, both his eyes will be gold.

I really wonder how Dartz and Siegfried’s first meeting would be like. So here is a thought. Well… headcanon: Dartz offered Sieg getting rid of Kaiba Corp, and as the price, he wanted Sieg to join Doma. So he helped Sieg’s company get better again. Though Schroeder Corp was not good enough to challange KC, with Dartz’s help, Siegfried was stronger than ever. But when he went to the Paradius Corp, he saw that it was collapsing. Then he learned that Dartz has been defeated by Kaiba and Yugi and KC was safe. He couldn’t do anything before, but because he got better with the help of Doma, now it was his turn to attack Kaiba (and so the grand championship arc bagins)

The moment I saw Nahyuta from Ace Attorney, I was like… Omg. He is so… Dartz! So I wanted to give his clothes to our Atlantian Prince and see how it looks.

AU/headcanon of the scene where Dartz attacks Chris and Ironheart with lightning to keep them from helping Yami.
I feel like Dartz didn't really want to hurt his daughter, even with the Orichalchos having taken over his mind. He takes Sky out first rather than Chris, then misses most of his next shots at her, and his final one makes her trip rather than engulfing her whole.

The Man whose Will was Destiny.

i have so much to say about dartz ... filler villain or not, he was truly and genuinely an absolute menace. but the worst thing in all of that, is that he was correct on many points, but entirely mad at the same time.
Allow me to elaborate . . .
he's undeniably correct about a lot of things that he says, as he explains to Seto and Atem the past of Antlantis, and the way humans lived before. he mentions that the greed of humans, which grew after the Orichalcos stone allowed unimaginable technological advancement, was what drove them further into darkness. and he was correct.
⠀⠀⠀he mentions that humans have lost touch with their humanity over time due to their greed and the darkness of their heart, and that the modern world resembles Atlantis prior to it's ultimate fall, which is also correct. you wouldn't expect such a mad man to mention the cries of the earth, which suffers at the hand of those who were meant to be its guardians, and yet, he does. which is one thing that makes him fascinating to me. he is a man filled with sorrow and whose heart has been drowned in tragedy a long time ago, and yet . . he is undeniably cruel. the execution of his vision goes entirely against his word.
⠀⠀⠀he mentions that humans are monsters within, and that he was chosen to rebuild the world. yet, he uses those very emotions to cause self-destruction in a person, driving them further into their own darkness. otherwise, the orichalcos would have no effect, as made evident when rafael's soul isn't taken after he lost against yami.
⠀⠀⠀however, dartz tells rafael that overcoming one's own darkness is nothing but an illusion, and proves it by revealing to rafael that he was the one who had orchestrated all of their fates (including Amelda's and Valon's), which in turn sends rafael into a rage and costs him his soul.
⠀⠀⠀dartz's extensive knowledge is his biggest power. the depth of his knowledge regarding the human heart and its darkness allows him to manipulate its strings almost effortlessly. he hears the earth's cries and the spirits they used to work with, but his solution is to destroy both worlds. his will is destiny.
⠀⠀⠀he says people are not truly equal in all aspects, which he is also correct. morally, yes, they are equal. but some are born strong, talented, favored. others are born weak, rejected, forgotten. that is the injustice of the world, and the darkness of the human heart. he understands it deeply, and knows it more than anyone. while he laments the lack of humanity, he is nothing short of cruel. every single person, working for him or not, is seen as nothing but a pawn in his game and master plan. there is no telling if what he utters is truth or lie. he speaks utter insanity with utmost calmness and a smile on his face.
⠀⠀⠀he WANTS that the people who follow him worship him blindly without questioning, and he has not once failed with any of them, since he knows the human heart so well and how to manipulate its strings through emotions.
⠀⠀⠀during the final fight against Atem, every move was calculated in such a way that Atem would end up crushed, psychologically and emotionally. and whether we like it or not, dartz SUCCEEDED. wasn't it for the whole protagonist thing going on, dartz had basically talked Atem into giving up his soul, which is literally crazy.
⠀i also think his design is incredible. the color blue is a color of calm and gentleness, soothing to look at, which he all seems to exude. but this is all entirely false. being in his presence is like being caught in the webs of a spider. it is a false appearance of trustworthiness, but just like the god he means to revive, he is a snake.
⠀⠀⠀i just think he deserves way more recognition as a villain, because he is just incredibly well written ✨

YGO AU: Breaking the Seal 05
Chapter 5 Awakening
Yugi gets a reading about his future, He and Yami find and release a powerful new ally.
Out in the middle of the ocean stood a lone island; with a large temple at the top of a spiralling mountain. Inside the temple at an alter stood three large snake mouths open and waiting for the arrival of the three Egyptian God Cards to be held inside of them. Dartz knelt down dressed in his white and blue robes he only wore them inside the temple. Around his neck hung a medallion with the seal of Orichalcos engraved into a green gems centre. He smirked as he held out his hand, a small white orb floating in it.
“Yugi Mutou…vessel of the Nameless Pharaoh, I'm intrigued with your power to pass through the seal and break it…”
Dartz watched the small orb as it bounced in his palm not knowing where to go.
“While you did manage to break the seal it took a piece of your soul along with it. Luckily for you I saved it.” Dartz stood up and walked down the steps of the alter heading to the centre of the temple, on the ground small candles soon lit up one by one.
“A soul as powerful as this one that can hold the soul of the great Pharaoh of Egypt…You will be an asset to our god. But first you need to join us.” Dartz closed his eyes as all the flames in the temple dimmed their lights, below him the circle of small candles flames grow stronger all in a pattern that matched the Orichalcos star.
“That shard of the orichalcos you hold serves as my connection to your dreams…” Dartz held up his medallion and placed the small orb over it, the gem glowed a bright green and the small orb sank into the gem.
“I will make you see the light Yugi. You will join us and with your power by my side the Pharaoh and the other legendary duelists will be sacrificed to our god!”
The glowing circle grew more powerful as a beam of light shot up and out of the temple into the sky. The sky above started to glow and shimmer as an aurora stretched out all around the world and over Domino city.
“It is almost time to open the gate… Great Leviathan.”
-- Yami managed to clam himself down and after a shower, he walked out of the bathroom in nothing but a towel around his hair in a robe with slippers. He'd hoped to make it to the bed room quickly before being caught off guard by Yugi's Mother who stood in the hallway close to the door.
“Yugi.” She said.
Yami froze then turned to face her, he wasn't sure what to say to her so he answered “Y-yes?”
“I brought you some tea to help settle your stomach!” She then held out a tray with a mug on it, warm steam rose up form the piping hot liquid inside.
Yami was nervous, he wasn't sure what to say to her so he smiled and answered again
“Oh uh thank you…Mom…” he said nervously hoping he was using the right name; Yugi did call her Mom right?
Worried she held the plate a little lower now to better speak to him.
“You know… I was going to catch the train to see your dad tonight, but if you're still feeling unwell I can cancel and stay here tonight. I can always go in the morning…” She came closer and raised a hand touching his shoulder gently, which made Yami jump back a bit. This shocked her making her almost spill the mug on the plate. She had just enough time to steady herself again, she looked at her son surprised by his reaction towards her.
“No! Don't! don't do that-” Yami was scared of the mug spilling or was he afraid of being touched? He wasn't sure but once he saw the look in Yugi's Mother's eyes he quickly corrected himself.
“No Mothe-Mom don't stay for me! Fath-Dad hasn't seen you in a long time, you need to go to him!” he gave her a soft smile and stepped closer to her taking the mug form the plate.
“Thank you, but I'll be alright.” Yami smiled and blew on the mug before taking a quick sip, it was hot just like tea.
She was still shocked form his actions but then again he was in a robe and towel a very vulnerable situation to catch someone in. So she sighed giving in; she knew something was up with her son, but Yugi had a tendency to keep things to himself. Sadly she was used to her son being more closed off, faking a smile to make others feel better.
“Okay Yugi, but if there is something wrong…you can tell me or Grandpa okay?” She then leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. “We're here for you…”
Yami blushed he'd never received a kiss like this before, it felt…good? He wasn't sure what to feel right now, but he needed to answer.
“Y-yes…If there's a problem I'll let you know.” was all he could let out.
“Alight then, have a good night Yugi.” Mrs Mutou smiled as Yami opened the door of his bedroom
“Good night…Mom.” he said softly
Closing the door behind him Yami breathed a sigh of relief; as he clenched at the chain of the puzzle around his neck, looking up at the ceiling of the bed room again. After finishing the tea he was in Yugi's blue pyjamas and found himself in Yugi's bed once more. He touched the cheek that Yugi's Mother had kissed; he thought to himself about his forgotten past.
Did he have a Mother? Did she kiss him tenderly like that to show much she loved him? His partner was so lucky to have a family who cared for him so much.
How long was he going to have to keep up this act? How long did he have to keep pretending nothing was wrong to Yugi's family…
“Yugi…” he spoke softly “Please, be okay.”
He turned over and faced the wall again, his eyes became heavy as they finally closed.
--
Dartz and Yugi had sat back down on the fountain's ledge; Yugi sipped a cup of tea that Dartz had prepared for him, he told him it would help cleanse him and keep him clam. It seemed to be working Yugi was feeling more relaxed after his panic attack earlier.
Yugi had removed his jacket fully placing it beside him as he looked down at his shoes tapping the tips together a bit. He feet never could quite touch the ground, the fun of being short as it was. Dartz on the other hand was quite tall, very commanding yet somehow gentle at the same time. He sat beside Yugi with his leg crossed over his knee resting both hands on top of said knee.
“Yugi, in order to heal from the trauma of a past event; it can sometimes help to see that the trigger to such an event will not harm you at all. I know you are skeptical when it comes to Tarot but I think it may help you deal with your fear of the future.”
Yugi swallowed hard and nodded placing the tea cup down beside his jacket “If you really think this will help me…then I'll try it.”
Dartz smiled and pulled out the deck once more “Now then take the deck.” He offered the cards to Yugi who nervously reached for them, his hand shock a bit before he finally tooking the deck into his own hands.
He touched the top card brushing it with his fingers it was smooth just like any other card he'd handled in the past but he swore he could feel a kind of energy coming form them as well.
“Good, you see it doesn't hurt does it?” Dartz asked the boy who shock his head 'no' making Dartz smile again.
“Now You're going to give yourself a basic 3 card reading, so I need you to shuffle the cards as you do concentrate and ask the deck a question but you don't have to tell me what you ask it.”
Yugi nodded and started to shuffle the cards; it made him a little more relaxed since this was something he always did before a duel. But now it was with different cards and he figured in order for them to answer him he must trust them, the same way he and the other Yugi trust their deck during a duel.
Closing his eyes he keeps on shuffling and he he asks the cards
//Please cards…I need to know what to do! What path do I need to take to help the other me?//
He finally stopped and looked down at the deck again before looking to Dartz waiting for directions.
“Now that you've shuffled your question into the deck it is time for the reading; take the first card at the top of the deck and place it to your left this is the the Past. Then take another card and place it in the middle this is the Present, and finally the third card goes to your right that is the Future.”
Yugi did as he was instructed and placed the first card to his left side followed by the second and finally the last card sat on the right.
“Good now place the deck down and turn over the left card.”
Yugi nodded and did as he was told; once he flipped the first card he saw it read “Death” The card art showing the grim reaper.
“D-Death? Does this mean I'm going to die!” Yugi looked up to Dartz in a panic, Dartz calmly answered with a slight chuckle.
“No of course not Yugi, this is a card in the past! It just means there are things in your past you need to let go of. ”
“oh! right!” Yugi let out a breath in relief.
“Don't worry many people wrongfully associate this card to mean their own end, but rarely is that correct. Don't be afraid, now turn over the middle card.” Dartz said pushing Yugi forward.
Yugi did as he was told and turned over the next card it said “The Tower” the art art showing a tower on fire and two figures falling form it.
“This can't be good can it?” Yugi looked at the card sadness in his voice.
“The Tower in your present represents danger or crisis, destruction or even sudden change…” Dartz trailed off.
“The monsters appearing, the tablet at the museum freezing over, those biker guys who stole the god cards…it's all adding up.” Yugi looked to Dartz worried,
“Yes, it looks like all of these events are connected. Hopefully the final card will hold the answer.”
Dartz then gestured to the final card.
Yugi was scared he didn't know what the future would hold would there be more disaster? death? Oh what horrid things would await him now? His hand hovered over the final card he was so scared to even touch it now! His hand shock in fear it was just like in his first duel against Kaiba, he- no the other Yugi was afraid to draw the card and now he was afraid again.
“It's going to be okay Yugi, you need to face the future no matter if it shows darkness or light. You must face it!” Dartz told him very sternly almost like a command.
Yugi swallowed hard, he knew Dartz was right he couldn't run form this anymore he had to face it no matter what! Closing his eyes tightly he flipped over the final card, opening one eye he saw it read “The Chariot” the card art showing a man in a chariot being pulled by both black and white horses.
Dartz smiled “Ah the Chariot! It is about overcoming conflicts and moving forward in your future!”
Yugi's eyes lit up when he heard that, suddenly all his fears and anxiety were at rest, the future looked bright for him at last.
“So things will be okay? We're going to stop the evil? We're going to fix it all?” Yugi looked at Dartz again hoping wishing this was the truth.
Once again smiling Dartz nodded “Indeed; Once you let go of the pain of the past, the horrors your facing right now in the present, will be gone once you take a journey of course. That is also what the chariot can represent.”
“A Journey? Like and adventure or a quest?” Yugi asked.
Dartz shrugged his shoulders a bit “It can be interpreted as such, remember this is basic reading to answer your question. This is just my interpretation of how the cards answered you. Deep down only you have the answer.”
Yugi looked at the Chariot card again and smiled holding the card close to his chest now.
“I want to believe in this future…” Yugi said putting all his hope into the card. “I want to believe we're going to be okay…”
“That is all one can do.” Dartz placed a hand on Yugi's shoulder giving him some reassurance.
“Now that is all for tonight, I think you need to get some rest.” Dartz let go of Yugi's shoulder and got up form his seat.
Yugi nodded then collected the cards again, he made sure to put them back in a nice pile before handing them over to Dartz. But the man didn't take them he simply placed a hand over the deck then pushed it towards Yugi.
“No, keep them as a gift form me.” Dartz smiled warmly his green and golden eyes glimmered giving off an hypnotic wave that flowed over Yugi, making him freeze but also pay close attention to his words almost like a command.
“Keep them close to your heart, that way you know inside you will always hold the answers.”
Yugi nodded and held the deck close to his chest just over his heart, he smiled and said “Of course, Thank you, Dartz!”
“Anytime my friend.” Dartz got up picking up the watering can he placed down.
Yugi got up and put his jacket back on keeping the deck close to him, then remembered “Uhh…I'm not really sure how to leave this place? I think I just sorta woke up before.”
Dartz paused and said “Oh that's very easy, just click your heels together and say 'There's no place like home'.”
Yugi looked at him and answered flatly “Are you joking?”
Dartz chuckled a bit. “Not really, you don't have to click your heels but you do need a say a similar phrase and concentrate on your waking mind, where you want to be.”
Yugi blushed but he still did what the man said and in his mind he said //There's no place like…home, There's no place like home, There's no place like home…//
And soon enough Yugi was gone like a puff of smoke, whisked off back to his waking mind. Dartz stood with his hands behind his back; fishing through his back pocket he pulled out a golden key with the symbol of the Millennium puzzle on the key face. Looking towards the greenhouse in one of the many windows, fluttering in front of the glass were the 4 colourful butterflies form Yugi's last visit.
They where trapped inside and trying desperately to escape, the blue one especially; it was smacking against the window as hard as it could but being a small and fragile creature it only bounced off with each blow. Dartz watched them with a twisted and cruel grin on his face, his tapped the key against his palm before placing it back in his pocket.
“You will not interfere again, Pharaoh.”
Just like that Yugi found himself in his soul room surrounded by toys and other child like objects, in his hands the deck Dartz had giving him.
“Cannot believe that actually worked…” Yugi chuckled
He decided to honour his new friend's wishes and placed the deck down on the ground to 'keep it in his heart'. He headed towards the door and opened it hoping to speak to his other self when he head a voice calling out to him.
Help me! Please help us!
“Huh?”
Yugi quickly opened the door of his soul room and ran over to the other Yugi's room; No doubt about it he could hear that the voice was coming form the other Yugi's room. He reached for the handle and pulled it open.
-- Dartz having finished his session with Yugi returned to the main chamber of the temple inside his three swordsmen were waiting for him. He walked past them and up towards the waiting snake head statues at the alter he kept his back towards them as he spoke.
“So I trust your trip went well?”
“Yes Master, We've brought the three Egyptian God cards as promised.” Raphael hand stepped forward with a brown box in hand presenting it to Dartz, he lifted the lid to reveal the three god cards inside.
Dartz grinned turning around fully, he took the cards form the box and looked them over. They where glowing with the power of the gods inside, power that shouldn't be used to awaken the Pharaoh's memories, they would be sued to awaken their god. Dartz placed each card into the waiting mouths of the serpents, they held up his hands and began to speak.
“By offering the three gods to open the seal door, our god will breath again. Our noble god we offer you the power of these three gods! Use their great power to open the door between our worlds!”
The swordsmen watched as the god cards began to glow; a powerful beam of of energy made of rainbow light shot up into the ceiling of the temple making it's way outside, lighting up the sky in a great flash of light it almost looked like day had came as the aurora of light spread across the world.
“The forbidden door is now open…” Dartz said before let out a low chuckle. --
The sky over the city of Domnio was blanked by an aurora that shined down on everything in a rainbow of light. This light entered Yugi's room as well, when it did the puzzle started to glow and in a flash Yami found himself back inside the puzzle. Standing in his soul room just as he heard the door click and open to find Yugi stepping through the threshold.
Yami's eyes widened “Yugi!” he yelled running towards him and holding him in an embrace.
Yugi was caught off guard but he did welcome the embrace whole heatedly, he warped his arms around Yami's torso and hugged him back.
“Other Me!” he called out as Yami pulled back a little to look at him.
“Partner are you alright?! You went missing and I've been worried sick!” His eyes held so much worry, he wanted to make sure Yugi wasn't hurt.
Yugi smiled softly “I'm just fine! I'm not really sure what happened and how I ended up in my subconscious again…”
“Subconscious? Again? Is that where you where before?” Yami tilted his head slightly.
Yugi nodded and was about to explain more when they both heard the voice again calling for help.
Help me! Please help us!
“Did you hear that?” Yugi asked Yami who nodded.
“Someone needs our help” Yami answered.
They decided to split up to find the source of the voice; but with each door they opened they failed to find the one in distress. They both felt like they'd never find the owner of the voice until Kuribouh popped up and lead them towards another door. Opening it Yami saw the world inside was black and white almost like a comic book and the voice grew loader so they followed it.
As they did a colourful vortex opened up below their feet and they found themselves falling down a tunnel into a bright light. They found themselves floating in the sky over a vast land; full of lush green forests, rivers and valleys that lead to a ocean. In the centre of this land stood a tall castle floating on a island in the sky, it felt like one you'd see in a fantasy game.
But Yami noticed in the sky above there were gigantic clouds of swirling purple and blue with a yellow eye in the centre. The eye was reptilian in nature and had lighter yellow veins extending form the iris; they could see several creatures, duel monsters seemed to be drawn in and pulled into the eye disappearing into it's black iris.
“What is that?” Yugi asked before they where both quickly pulled towards the castle and entered it.
Floating down slowly inside a grand foley; three large statues in the shape of dragons made of crystal stood on platforms. Yugi and Yami had held hands as they floated down; Yami doing it mostly to keep Yugi close to him he didn't want to lose him now that they'd be reunited. Yugi was a bit nervous being in this new world but feeling the other Yugi's hand in his helped to keep him calm.
Both where amazed by everyone they'd seen so far but the statues by far where the most impressive; who'd made them? what force brought them here? where was here? And what was that eye in the sky? Those questions floated in their minds as they softly landed just below one of the dragon statues.
“Masters! The Chosen Duelist!” That same familiar voice had yelled out causing both Yugi and Yami to turn around.
Behind them a flurry of small lights swirled up and revealed the Dark Magician Girl, she floated in front of them with a look of joy on her face as she looked at both her masters.
“You came!” she smiled.
“Dark Magician Girl?” Yugi asked.
“You're the one who called us?” Yami also asked.
“Yes! Our world and your world are facing annihilation…The thoughts of the people in your world created our world, a world made of creative energy. But our two worlds also depends on each other to exist they are inseparable. But someone-” Dark Magician Girl looked over to Yugi, in his eyes a quick flash of green sparked in them making her pause and rush over to him quickly.
Yugi was surprised as she loomed over him a little she was still rather tall compared to him. A look of fear and worry in her eyes as she placed a hand on his cheek. As she let her thumb rub just under his eye, she looked deeply into Yugi's eyes but didn't see the green again. She signed softly in relief like something had scared her and she was just making sure what she saw wasn't really there.
Yugi was embarrassed and confused, as was Yami as he saw her strange actions towards his partner.
“Is…everything alright?” Yami started to ask Dark Magician Girl, but she looked back to him and nodded with a soft smile.
“Y-yes forgive me I just thought I saw…never mind!” Dark Magician Girl then continued; She told them that someone was trying to destroy the balance of their two worlds, the dark sun had appeared in their world and swallowed most of her people, now only she and very small number of monsters remained.
Around them the duel monsters who where left had appeared, they were all upset and looked like they'd been fighting for their lives. As Yugi watched them his heart was breaking just seeing how scared they all looked, they'd lost so much and it was truly upsetting to see. Yugi looked down unsure of what to do, Yami looked at his partner he didn't need to speak to understand what was going on Yugi's head.
“Is there away to save this world and ours?” Yugi looked up to Dark Magician Girl hoping she had the solution and that they could help.
And she did; she floated up towards one of the crystal dragon statues Yugi and Yami following her as she stopped just in front of the dragons eye, There was a sword sticking out of it almost like the sword in the stone. Dark Magician Girl had gone on to explain that these three statues were in fact the protectors of the duel monsters world, in ancient times but had used up all their power in their last battle and were put to sleep. There names are unknown and no one knows how long they've been there sleeping but a legend about them was all that exists. When both their worlds face annihilation only a true duelist can heal the dragons wounds and release their power once more.
“And I believe you can heal the dragon's wounds and release their power to save us all!” Dark Magician Girl looked to both her masters.
Yugi and Yami looked to each with a nod then they both placed a hand on the sword and started to pull, it felt very much stuck at first but they both were determined to remove the sword! Finally in a flash of light shot out pushing both boys back as the sword finally came lose and fell towards the ground. They could hear the cracking of glass as the massive statue started to shatter it's crystal shell, the teal green scales of the giant dragon glimmered as the beast had fully awakened.
Yugi and Yami both looked up at the dragon; for some reason they both knew the dragon's name so they said it a load. “Nameless Dragon, your name is…Timeaus!”
Once they spoke it's name it let out a powerful roar that echo all though out the great halls; Yugi and Yami again could feel the great power this dragon held the power to awaken the dormant powers of all duel monsters, this was the power of the Eye of Timeaus. Holding out their hands they both faced the great dragon allowing it's power to enter them, so they could hopefully use it to fight this great evil. A flash of blinding white light enveloped everything around them.
Yugi soon awoke in his bed in his body again he had control over himself once more. His eyes were soon a light with the shine of some kind of rainbow light in his room. Was it morning already? He sat up wondering what this strange light was, he turned to his window and looked up at the sky. No this wasn't the sun…
Meanwhile outside everyone who also was awakened by the strange rainbow light in the sky had come out to see what was happening. Yugi too had gotten dressed with his duel disk in hand this time, and came outside to join his grandfather who was still in his pyjamas looking up at the events as well. He pointed out that the duel monsters that were running a muck around the city seemed to be drawn toward this aurora in the sky. Yugi knew something was happening and he needed to check it out, he made his way down the street heading towards the center of the city.

Decided to share some duel monsters stuff with a friend, forgot they end up simping for literally every anime character I bring up (except Astral and Trey, they think they're ugly for some reason)
Well I may have made a Dartz simp. Because I sent them this talking about how much I like his design and how cool he looks in a suit, I don't even want to screenshot the responses, its very um...uncomfortable. I had only stated that I like his design and think he looks cool, I don't do weird comments it makes me uncomfortable.
(The exact images I sent)

I'm used to it because they're always saying that about literally every single male character I bring up, even my OCs, but I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable.
I can't talk about characters with them peacefully they haven't even watched duel monsters and already simp for Kaiba, Yami Bakura and Dartz ;-;

Oh boy more HS YGO AU! (it really does need a name...) Anyway Dartz is their version of Doc Scratch in away, in the post scratch Yugi's (D)ancestor The Star Child (Heba) was taken by Dartz and raised into becoming a being known as The Uruburos a powerful entity who will become the instrument of the world's destruction and rebirth.
Dartz's created the gang known as the Felt who help carry out their planet's true purpose and live on the newly exiled Earth awaiting the arrival of their true master The Great Leviathan.

I've been trying to plot out the prequel for my yugioh oc verse that focuses on Atlantis and it's fall (bc as we all know season 4 is Very Important To Me and bc of my Zorc is Atlantean theory) and I just.
EPIC The Musical is my main soundtrack for plotting out that storyline. So much of what I have lines up with it and I can definitely get inspiration from it but namely it's these songs;
The Horse and the Infant
Just a Man
Open Arms (Specifically focusing on Zoren [pre-Zorc] and Sophocles [my fourth Legendary Knight/ Dragon for Bakura bc HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THAT ARC, I'M FIXING IT])
Survive
Remember Them
Luck Runs Out
Ruthlessness
The Underworld (post Atlantis falling specifically)
No Longer You
Monster
I've associated almost all of these with Dartz's role in the story somehow someway and I'm just. I'm gonna go lay on the floor.

Oh no, not me using Dartz as a parental figure to Yugi since his real father's absence has made him crave a fatherly figure in his life, thus he views Dartz as his father and is more willing to trust his words thus will manipulate him into turning against Yami.
I'd never do that.
