Hi, sorry I’ve been MIA so long. I bruised/fractured my rib so I’ve spent quite a while in my evenings doped up on painkillers and other stuff has happened which has taken up my energy. I’m sorry to say that I’ve rather lost track of things so let me know if you want to continue and I’ll find the thread to continue it; or, if you would like to start anew I’m happy to do that too :-).
Let me know and I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend!

“The academy is full of magic users, we’ve been all outcasts. Magic is just for woman, but still we’re called witches by using it. Even the allmother herself was a scholar of this academy and called a witch. Weren’t people calling you son of a witch? It will always be like this, we’re used to be called names and I think you can relate. We’re all the same here, so no, I won’t think people wouldn’t approve as long you’re trying your best” she replied, folding her hands in front of her waist.
Sigyn escaped a small giggle, as he answered ever so calm. “You’re not surprised? That I’m a princess? You should know, my father wanted to force me to marry your brother” she told him, before she heard someone shouting and could watch like a man in armor was walking towards them. “Oh noe…” she murmured, covering her face with her hands.
***
“Nothing wrong with being a witch.” Loki crossed his arms over his chest, thinking of his mother and the company she kept. “I am not one myself, but there is naught wrong with it.” They could do things that he couldn’t, like seeing into the future... Some of their abilities were quite enviable. “On occasion, yes I was called that. I believe my mother found it amusing that it was an attempt at an insult.”
Loki shook his head, “Thor would have had none of that.” His brother had too much respect for women than to play a part in forcing one of them to do such a thing. “You would have had him defending you had it come to it.” He cocked his head at her, eyes following the movements of the approaching man. “Friend of yours?”
Mischief Not Managed
Loki awoke, body aching in a similar fashion to when Hulk had assaulted him. He groaned, giving a sharp intake of breath, upon the bed he found himself on. How had he gotten here? This surely wasn’t the TVA, they would never have granted him an actual bed to rest upon. Even Mobius hadn’t been that indulgent; sleeping on a desk for a few minutes had been too much to ask for, for gods’ sake!
Blinking, tired green eyes gazed around the room, looking for whom else might be with him... He hoped he was not alone in this strange place.
“Hello? Excuse me, hello? Is... someone there?”

“I missed you today”
***
“As I missed you,” Loki sighed, nuzzling at the side of her head. “Things get so tedious...”
Ashley and Loki had known each other their entire lives and had been in a secret relationship. It was hard to find time to be together, but she would come to his room at night. She knew she would be banished from Asgard or killed if they were caught. But she couldn’t stay away from him.
Loki let her in, quickly closing the door behind her. It was dangerous, assuredly, but... that was part of the allure. It was fun! It made him feel alive!
And he loved her.
So, it was worth it.
"Did anyone see you?" The question was pointless, he knew, but he had to ask it regardless..

She nearly rolled her eyes but restrained herself, entering the coffee shop and taking a seat in the window. She crossed her legs and looked at him, “I’ve been here for nearly 5 years.” She answered simply. “And you?”
***
“Five minutes, comparatively speaking.” He settled opposite her. “Feels longer...” Too long... “You... don’t seem happy to see another Asgardian...”
Not Alone
After escaping the new TVA, Loki had retreated to Midgard. After Asgard itself, it was the realm he knew best, and, he knew, his brother favoured. Perhaps, he would be able to locate the God of Thunder, reunite once more, if Thor welcomed him after Ragnarok and the part his Variant had played in it.
It was... a loss; one he hadn’t even wanted Mobius to see. It was deep and, therefore, private. Not many would both understand it, and have empathy for the infamous God of Lies going through it. It was a wound best not put on display as there were a great many whom would delight in sticking the blade in...
and twisting.
He looked up, and his eyes widened in hopeful disbelief. Perhaps... this was one of those rare meetings. One where his grief was not a ready-made weapon to be used against him. At least, it was another Asgardian...
“Good morning,” he exhaled, a smile pulling at his lips...

Loki could feel the mechanical gazes on him, but his grin didn’t waver as he met Tony’s gaze. Couldn’t allow the human to think he held all the cards, that would never do. Even if it might be strategically advantageous to let Stark believe himself fully in control… This game could be played several ways, none of which threatened to be boring. He watched as his brother and the human greeted one another, a flicker of interest in his eyes.
How strange, the friends his sibling had made…
“Oh, fret not, I will behave.” And if Stark believed that, he was far more of a fool than the God of Mischief took him for. It was less a genuine promise, than a playful opening of their cohabitation. “I will be the perfect guest.” He gestured with his hands in a ‘I’m harmless’ motion. As if Tony wanted him to be boring. It didn’t seem to be in the man’s nature, the way he flirted with danger.
Danced with death while dressed in iron, as if it could protect him.
“Better your home than Odin’s.” He had no desire to see his ‘father’ for quite some time. His mother, yes, but… not him. Stark’s company promised to be far preferable. At least, there would be the chance of some fun!
Tony had been making sure the tower was ready, was making sure that Jarvis was prepared for the God being brought into the tower. He'd been on edge, he'd been feeling pent up, being unable to shift with the tower so full of people who didn't know what he could do. He knew Loki was coming to the tower as a form of punishment, that he would have to come down to earth to make up for the pain he had caused so many people.
He had a whole floor set up, with sensors that would monitor the magic use in the room, that would keep track of the energy, that would be able to monitor is Loki uses any magic. He took a ground breath as he heard the sound of magic hitting the balcony and he looked on the mintors seeing Thor and sighed as he noticed the god behind him. He strolled down to the communal floor where they were to meet.
Loki bounced lightly on his heels as he stood behind his brother, energy rushing through him though chains bound his hands. Whether this would be better than being imprisoned on Asgard was yet to be seen. It should be, if nothing else, easier for him to escape here should he chose to, than back in Odin's palace. Perhaps it would be preferable in others ways as well. Stark seemed to understand his sense of humour at least, and giving his brother some time to cool off after their spat was definitely necessary. Mother was sure to work on Odin in his absence as well...
Still, he would be restricted. His movements, his magic... Surrounded by people whom hated him. Nothing new there then. At least these people knew why they loathed him, had true reason to... Father's- Odin's behaviour towards him had dictated that in Asgardian society without a great many really knowing why.
Waiting for Stark, the God of Mischief almost smiled. If nothing else, it would be a relief to get away from the mess of his family for a while, and the human couldn't hold him forever...

“Oh everything you can think of… But I thought you could attend to be a teacher” she replied, noticing, that he misunderstood her intention.
With a concerned face she watched her handmaid leave, it was too late to keep her secret, her cheeks just flushed as she looked at him.
“Princess, to be precise” she let out, looking worriedly at him. “Princess of Vanaheim, it bores me, indeed. It’s just a cage so much weight… So much aspectations. I always wanted to be more than someones wife, my father abounded me as i refused the hand of various nobleman.. So I came here,… So exprincess would be more precise.” she explained, shrugging her shoulders slightly.
***
“Are you sure your people would approve?” The Asgardians themselves had distrusted his magic, even before learning his true origins. Would strangers feel any better about it? He couldn’t help but doubt it...
“Yes, families and their expectations tend to be such,” the God of Mischief agreed. He looked down; he supposed ‘ex-prince’ would be a term that described him just as accurately. “And I was merely adopted.”

“I think he struggled a lot with losing his family. He never said much but Steve had mentioned it in passing when everyone had returned from the snap,” Wanda replied, only now realising that the man standing in front of her had been the very brother Thor had lost to Thanos.
She listened as he explained just how he had came to be and how much trouble he seemed to be in. “And I’m guessing that if it weren’t for this war, they’d be out here looking for you?” She asked before adding, “so you mean to tell me that there are other timelines, other versions of ourselves out there?”
***
“The Snap? So the Mad Titan did achieve his dreams then...” A grin ore at home on his alligator counterpart’s face than his own. “And had them wiped out, in great part due to my brother, I’d imagine?” How fitting. If there was anyone whom deserved such a fate, it was that monster...
“Now, yes. A version of myself and I opened up the timelines, allowing all to exist and not just one that some deem ‘Sacred’. But, in opening those up...” Loki sighed and sipped his drink. “The doors to threats that had been closed and bolted have been thrown open. I... I don’t know what that will mean in the long-term...”
Emerald and Crimson
Loki stumbled out onto Earth’s surface, cool air running through his hair. The TVA was in chaos, and he had fallen here. Where was here? Not safe, that much was certain. No where was ever, ever safe. With Thor, with Mobius, with Sylvie. Never. Never, never. And now there would be war, and no one would help him. Anyone whom might presumed him dead. The gods only knew where his brother was now, and whether he would listen...
Looking around, he noticed a single house in this deceptively peaceful place. There were certain to be snakes in the grass, and not only himself.
However, what choice did he have? He could not face this alone, and had to find allies somewhere. The residents of the cottage should at least be able to tell him some basic things, and he could start again from there.
Start again, always starting again.
The God of Mischief made his way to the door and knocked before he could allow himself to go too far down that train of thought.

Raising a brow, the Valkyrie was not anticipating Loki to reply to her smart ass comment. Quickly narrowing her hazel eyes once more, she steps up to him until they’re chest to chest (well, head to collar due to their height difference) “Because, I could most definitely best you in a fight, I have so before on Sakaar..” She mocks the god, smirking. Not at all afraid like most would be, being so close.

“As if brute strength is the only measure of success,” Loki scoffed. “A leader should have more gong for them than mere muscle.” He was not intimidated either, crossing his arms over his chest and raising his eyebrows in challenge.

Longed to be loved...
Well, who had not?
Loki returned the embrace slowly, closing his eyes in thought. “You have... nowhere else to go, except here?” he breathed, wondering if Grayson really knew what he was asking from the God of Mischief; and whether he could give the Infinity Stone what they wanted...
emeraldsnakesdagger:
Loki looked around, eyes taking in every inch of the beach they had arrived upon, the sky that stood above them which clearly was not that of Earth…
He took in a breath, then his gaze returned to Grayson. “I am glad you were not destroyed after all. The Titan took enough without ending your existence as well. It is not often that surprises I encounter are good, but it is pleasant when they defeat that expectation…”
The God of Mischief was silent for a moment, looking at the incarnation of an Infinity Stone. “What is it that you desire from me?” There was no hostility in the question, merely curiosity…
“I desire your love and affection.”
He’s blushing.
“None who have held me have seen me as more than a thing. But when you touch me, I feel love.”
Moving closer to Loki, he wrapped his arms around him.
“I’ve longed to be loved for such a long time. Lover or father, I don’t care. I just want to be in your life, Loki.”

She smiled and nodded “hmmm yeah I guess , I mean I’m not even sure I want to meet another me , I mean they atleast got to live the lives they chose , where as I only got the life that I was forced in too … So I’d rather not be jealous of myself ‘cshe said with a soft sigh.
She hummed ” yeah or cause a few to have mental breakdowns , I mean don’t get me wrong I’d love to burn everything down , the only thing that has stopped me is the people , I mean most if them don’t know anybetter , they don’t deserve that “
***
“Others of me seem to share my luck,” Loki chuckled, “or they... remind me of elements of myself I’d rather not see. So... I don’t think I have much to be jealous of...” Aside from the magical prowess of some of his kin, but he could aspire to that. If they could do, so could he!
“If we could get a couple to come around to our way of thinking, there should be a domino effect. We just need to get them talking to us...”
War is Coming
Loki stared up at the Variant of He Who Remains’ statue, vaguely hearing Mobius move away behind him with some other TVA members. Sylvie had betrayed him. His friend didn’t know who he was. His brother believed, rightfully, that he was dead. His people had, by and large, perished. If Ragnarok hadn’t ended them, then Thanos’ family had finished the job with many Asgardians. Including Thor’s dearest friends...
He was alone, as many had told him he was destined to be.
Not to be trusted or valued, merely to be the harbinger of doom, the villain, the failure.
He hadn’t been able to stop Sylvie and now... now the multiverse was in jeopardy and he had no idea how to fix it! Horror written all over his face, the God of Mischief stood, frozen, at a loss for how to proceed...

Elizabeth stopped mid step, she understood why he would feel this way, but she had worked so hard to forget. She sighed and turned to look at him. “Fine.” She said, not meeting his eye. “Come, lets get some coffee…” She lead him to a small coffee shop down the road.

Loki nodded, jogging so he could fall into stride with her. “Have you been here long?” he asked, part small talk, part genuine curiosity, as they entered the coffee shop...

Wanda peered up at him as he mentioned her being an exception. “You trust me?” She asked, her hand moving to rest on his cheek. “Is that a wise decision or… are you just hoping that I’m not someone who will stab you in the back?”
***
“I do not think that is in your nature,” Loki leaned into her hand with a soft smile. “And, I believe, I would know.”
“was it – something i said…?”
“What- no.” Wanda was a little confused by Loki’s statement, her hand coming to rest on the mans arm. “Loki, you didn’t say anything wrong. I’m sorry if it seemed like my bad mood was because of you..”
