It was fairly amusing that they both seemed surprised by each other to some degree - open, honest surprise, too. Bahadir laughed softly, green-ish eyes seeming to twinkle. “It’s alright - I’m just not used to compliments.” And that was the truth. Perhaps it was his extremely limited interactions with humans that left him this way? Or maybe he was just the type of person who was embarrassed easily? Bahadir himself honestly did not know.
Bahadir’s eyes brightened when Joaquin agreed with him, smiling widely. He nodded eagerly, humming happily for a brief moment. “Yes! That sounds great!” Thought it then dawned on Bahadir that they really hadn’t moved since he had been thinking having extra sweets for breakfast, and honestly, he was beginning to feel a bit guilty. At least Joaquin had been kind enough to point it out to him and all while keeping that gentle smile on his face.
“Yes - we should get going. Thank you so much.” Without Joaquin's help, Bahadir knew he wouldn't be able to find the cafe on his own.
Oh. The surprise expression was fixed on Joaquin’s face, seeing the other’s reaction to his compliment. But it settled into a small smile like before. “Era la verdad – Sorry if it had embarrassed you.” he stated, embarrassed himself. Not many people got embarrassed with such a simple compliment. But it felt nice to see that reaction too. He like making others smile and it seemed he did it twice with this person. He might do it again.
They also had nice greenish eyes. They reminded him of a certain jewel.
“Ah, I would be happy to do that. That way we can both get our sweets.” he smiled. “Besides, I feel like people are staring – since we haven’t moved for the last few minutes.” Joaquin kept that gentle smile on his face, never breaking eye contact despite what he said. The lights had changed one more time since the last one they missed. “Lights work really quick here. – Shall we go before it changes? I’ll lead the way to a nice cafe.”

The Warlock watched her, amused by the fact that she decided she needed to inspect each and everyone onf them for some sort of foul play, but with Bahadir, that was not the case.
He laughed softly at her comment, but then shook his head. “I have no need to take another life nor to simply poison someone for my own amusement.” He couldn’t help smiling, however, at hearing Ivakir ask for more. “Of course - whenever you see me, feel free.”
Candies, like little rubies, fell down into her outstretched hand. Ivakir examined one of them like she was an expert. She noticed that the candy even looked a bit better than those she usually bought.
The woman brought the candy to her mouth, but suddenly stopped.
- If it is poison and I die, my spirit will haunt you forever, - she said seriously before put the candy in her mouth.
She expected that the taste will be sour, but pleasant cherry bouquet bloomed on her tongue, and Iv even slightly closed her eyes. Cherry. Even tastier.
- If I ask you, will you give me more candies? - she asked, hiding the rest in her pocket.

“Oh--thank you.” Bahadir smiled and accepted the card, looking over the contents with a curious gaze, but he couldn’t help but wonder if Bishop had done this sort of thing before - handing out his business card to people. The motion had been quite smooth, honestly.
Bahadir chuckled at the comment before tucking the card into the pocket of his grey sweatpants; his red, sneaker encased feet criss-crossed at the ankles before he moved to speak.
“I can’t say I’ve heard of Bishop before, either, but I like it. It’s cool.”

Honestly, Bishop lives for when people ask what his name is. Namely so he can whip out his business card from his inside pocket and pass it over. Bishop Kassidy - Exorcist. Call or inquire at www.bishopkassidy.com.
“Also, Bahadir is a really unusual name that I’ve never heard in my thirty years of living. Probably.” Sometimes he likes to joke about his amnesia. It makes for some fun jokes.

Bahadir listens to Jeremiah speak, but looks thoughtful at the comment. Though the thoughtful expression didn’t last as he perks up some at the question. The Warlock nods his head, interested. “Yes, of course. Please.”
Tumblr media
“I guess so, but they’re movies first.” he hums. What had they been talking about again? Oh yeah! “Don’t you wanna know what you did in my dream?!”

Great! [Bahadir’s smile is toothy and a mile as he moves to stand, quite happy with Vincenzo’s reaction to what he had said. Perhaps they would be going somewhere Vincenzo wanted to be seen?]
Would you like me to change your outfit for you?
[he pseudo-smiles, pseudo-smiling being the act of just barely lifting the corner of your lips, almost a smile but not quite, accompanied by a lighthearted eyeroll… Who gave this guy permission to be this nice? He can’t deal.]
Well, you don’t have to tell me twice. C'mon, let’s go. [he doesn’t plan on going anywhere special, but it does have to be dark; he can’t be seen in this state, not changed up at all, too chill]

Bahadir just laughed softly at the comment, unable to help it with Ivakir’s own laughter infecting him like it was, though when the chuckles died down, he smiled softly. “Hiding a magical secret?  I’m not sure as to what you mean.” He honestly didn’t mind that she was still holding onto his  hand and simply enjoyed the simple contact as he continued to stay seated.
When she did eventually release it, he rested it on the table, but arched a brow at her comments. “Interesting... Do you know something about me, Miss Ivakir?”
- You’re terrible, you know that? - Iv laughed, seeing his generosity very strange. - I feel that you’re hiding some magic secret, Bahadir, - she said, still gently holding his hand.
Ivakir didn’t know how to say that she felt the typical scent of bright magic, which came from her new acquaintance. One of her abilities, she couldn’t turn it off with the snap of her fingers. She knew that some magical beings prefered to keep their powers in secret.
The city had a thousand odors. The witch with her sensitive nose could smell and separate one scent from another and follow it, like the shark followed a blood trace in the ocean. Free food was clearly not the main reason why she decided to sit there.
- And I really hope that I don’t make a mistake, though it can be risky, - Iv released Bahadir’s hand, when the waiter finally brought ordered dishes. - But I like to take risks.

A bright smile blossomed on Bahadir’s features as a carnation bud sprouted in his hair and bloomed suddenly; the Warlock’s eyes sparkled with delight when he noticed Ankur’s hand moving again. Quietly, he focused on the touches - not at all perturbed by the slick feeling that he felt - and chuckled softly. He was enjoying himself. He was enjoying this - these touches that he was given and the ones he was allowed to give in return. Physical affection was truly something that was meant to be enjoyed.
He was all too happy to meet Ankur’s gaze with his own, almost looking a little mischievous in that moment, and spoke softly.
“Perhaps, but even now it continues to speak your name. Surely a heart should know who encases it?”
An unconscious twitch of Ankur’s fingers had them tightening on his own flesh briefly, pulling the hole in his chest a bit wider. What a tender touch Bahadir had- a soft sigh escaped him, his eyes sliding shut. How curious to feel another’s hand in what was perhaps, the most intimate of places: his very heart. Ankur wondered briefly if others shared the sensation when he performed similar actions in their stomachs and lungs; surely, even in fear, there must be something profound in the feeling of another’s touch in one’s core, he thought, a small, serene smile coming across his lips as a shudder passed through him. Would his heart too shiver beneath Bahadir’s caress?
–Ah.
Ankur’s eyes opened in slow blinks at the address more than the commentary. “...You know my name,” he breathed as his smile widened, genuinely pleased. One hand moved away from the cavity in his chest the short distance to the other’s cheek. Two fingers trailed across Bahadir’s cheek and jaw, leaving behind a hot streak of deep red as he tilted the other man’s face up towards his own.
“Such a traitorous heart.”

Bahadir simply follows after Nate with a soft grin, pleased with how the day had turned out and returned to his seat across from him. Nate’s question, however, causes him to adopt a thoughtful look before smiling brightly.
“When I was younger, my mother told me stories of some of her family who had traveled to the West, so I wanted to see it for myself.”
Nate nods to confirm, Nate is much quicker to say than Nathaniel. It also sounds a lot less formal, much more relaxed. He preferred ‘Nate’. Although the way his brother says his full name is endearing.
“Oh, okay.” he goes to sit down again to wait for the drinks to be brought over. “Why did you move?” to America of all places.

So ... then ... it wasn’t true?
Bahadir had been so sure that he was going to be destroyed in that moment, but to hear Ankur say that wouldn’t - couldn’t - ever do something like that ... A burst of happiness shot through the painful squeeze of sadness that had surrounded his heart. Though Ankur was on the floor now, he had not approached, and there was no knife in his hand, either. As Bahadir continued to stare, nothing that he could see struck him as hostile. Ankur seemed to be more shocked by his untimely arrival than anything else, and if he had wanted to attack, he would’ve done so as soon as he had come out of the painting, right? Once he had gotten over his shocked, Bahadir supposed.
“Oh.”
What else was there to say other than that?
He had to believe Ankur - had to believe that he was telling the truth, and seeing as he had already questioned him, he could only hope that Ankur was being completely honest.
Warmth blossomed in his chest as light, happy feelings settled in his heart again, but something strange was also happening. Moisture had gathered in his eyes and spilled over quite suddenly. Bahadir blinked as the moisture ran down his cheeks which produced the strangest sensation, and confusion settled on his face as he stood there.
What ... was this ... ?
Poetry is a Painting that Speaks
And there it was again. An energy he could not place, before his eyes caught the painting swing to the side and clatter thunderously. Ankur’s hand dropped quickly to cover his throat, then to reach behind him, searching for something- anything- to support him and finding nothing. Stumbling backward quickly, he slipped and fell into a clumsy seat, but he registered neither discomfort nor shame as he looked up from the floor at his creation, now standing before him. Brown eyes searched green, then traced the man’s face, widening as they registered every detail Ankur had been haunted by, recognising in them every centimetre he’d captured in oil and pigment.
“Bahadir,” he gasped quietly; hallucination or not, the name had come to his tongue unexpectedly and with it, the quiet flicker of a flame in his chest and a warmth in his fingers as tension no longer held him prisoner.
–But then he spoke and Ankur blinked in confusion. Why, he had intended to, even if only momentarily, but he could not have gone through with it, he knew that; did the blade on the floor not espouse that? But the hurt in Bahadir’s eyes (and what joy to address him by name at last) struck him and he swallowed dryly. Suppose he hadn’t gone mad and the man that stood before him was real: a creation meeting its creator and finding that it was on the verge of being destroyed by him? Ankur’s fingers curled briefly on the dusted tile as his eyes flicked over the other’s features, his own adopting a mirroring sombre expression.
“–No,” he blurted, shaking his head. “No, I-” He licked his lips, feeling his throat suddenly parched. “I would never- could never–”

Smoothing out his own clothing, Bahadir perked up a bit more with interest when Jarrod did move to speak again and listened quietly. He took in his every word, hardly blinking as he processed the information that the taller man had given him, but it wasn’t exactly difficult to understand. Jarrod had done a fair job of helping him understand, and for that, Bahadir was grateful; he hadn’t had to share that part of his life with him, but he had. The gift of knowledge - no matter how small - was something Bahadir appreciated immensely.
When Jarrod did turn to look to Bahadir, he would find the shorter man staring back at him, a light smile on his face as he stood there.
“I understand now. Thank you.”
Extraordinary- Closed with emerlock
A part of him almost wanted to pull the man back to closeness, but instead he just arched his brow at them. The respect for boundaries was definitely noticeable since he had flinched initially. He would have to commend the other man for that later..
For now, he straightened his clothing like he did often. His own expression turned thoughtful when he heard Bahadir’s comment on his state of living. In truth, he’d never thought terribly often about how his physical properties worked anymore. He relied mostly on his powers and the abilities that human blood gave him. A light hum escaped his chest as he contemplated more over it before he spoke again.
“Indeed.. I suppose you could say I died around.. the early to mid 1500s? It is hard to recall since it was so long ago. My sire fed me blood enough to change me, bit me for good measure, and drank me dry.. I must drink of humans to live because my heart will have nothing to pump. I have no blood left of my own.. therefore I need to consume. That is also why it beats so slowly. Partly, the curse within me understands that I cannot hold blood for an extended period of time, and thus, conserves as much as it can by circulating slowly.” When he finally stopped explaining, he looked to the other man to see if they understood.
