what tattoos do you think c!niki would get?

I spent a lot of time thinking about this ask, maybe more time than I should have since this is about a fictional character and it's really just my headcanons. But I wanted to be really thorough, so I went researching and all the fun stuff.

Anyway, the first tattoo that came to mind was a phoenix tattoo. Niki has phoenix vibes, I just really think that a phoenix tattoo would really fit her.

I also think she would have gotten some kind of tattoo to represent c!Wilbur in honor of him after his death. Obviously, that tattoo would have become something she'd gain very complicated feelings for, but considering c!Niki's stubborn, ability to hold a grudge and how long grief rules her in canon, I feel like she'd want something. Don't entirely know what, there are many things that she could get to represent Wilbur.

Similar to the other one, I think she'd get a tattoo to represent L'manburg, considering how important L'manburg was to her. The thing is, I don't think she'd get the flag, I think she'd get something more subtle like the national animal or flower... the main problem with that is that we don't canonically know what that is...

I don't think that all of c!Niki's tattoos would be ones that have significant meaning, I could see her getting tattoos just for fun or just because she likes how they'll look on her. However, this is what caused me to really think hard about tattoo ideas - the world of the DSMP is pretty complicated, as we don't entirely know the intricacies of its culture or what media is popular, for example.

I think something like thorn vines could fit her, I think she'd find that cool. Flowers, plants and animals are probably easy ones to pick from, since we know those at least exist in the DSMP world...

I ended up adding a tattoo section to my c!Niki Pinterest Board trying to figure out what I think she could have... not completely sold on all the tattoos on that board, but I think it's a good starting point as I think about it more...

But yeah, those are my thoughts on c!Niki tattoos. I thought way too much about this, probably more than I needed to.

there was a disability pride month display at my local library— which is great!

but there was a Robert Galibraith book on it, which is bad.

Every time I read the “Toph is a bad example of a disabled character because of her bending.” I want to Physically leap over a table and then flip that table because NO!!!! You do not understand!!!

Toph’s bending is assistive technology!!! It’s a medical aid!!!!!

Toph’s bending allows her to full access her world the same way my mobility aids do, or my medication does. There are times when due to inaccessible surroundings that her aids are rendered harder or impossible to use. Not unlike my own greatest enemy, stairs. However, when she is fully accommodated she’s able to be just as successful and thrive just as much as an able-bodied person albeit differently. Which is the ultimate goal of assistive technology.

Do not think for a moment that this admin is only going after trans folks. They are ultimately going after the whole LGBTQ community. They start small, like getting rid of a hotline option, then go BIG.

sending people wikipedia articles is my favorite form of humor. one time a long time friend of mine asked why i was using a different name and acting different i sent him the wikipedia page for DID. ryder just asked me why its 108 degrees in nevada right now and i sent him the wikipedia page for global warming and the season of summer.

Oppositional sexism is a very useful term actually. Like, so much is better explained by the idea of “there’s a societal belief that men and women should remain opposites and should have no overlapping traits” than “this is homophobia/transphobia”. Why does society hate displays of femininity in men and masculinity in women? It’s oppositional sexism. They hate that you’re proof that masculinity and femininity aren’t inherently opposites. marauders/harry potter fans who "don't agree with jk rowling" are like if people loved the leopard mascot for the leopards eating peoples faces party so they wore all the merch and drew art of the mascot and talked about the leopard mascot all the time but don't worry! they don't support the leopards eating peoples faces party! they're just completely indistinguishable from people who do because they both love the leopard mascot and make loving the leopard mascot 99% of their personality, "why do people feel unsafe around me when i very clearly don't support the leopards eating peoples faces party?" says the person in the leopards eating peoples faces party merch (don't worry they bought it second hand so the leopards eating peoples faces party don't get any money from them)
