(yes, I look tense in the photo. It was taken in November and it was FREEZING) Hi! I’m Emily. Age 18. I’m new to Tumblr and I’m still trying to figure it out. So far I’ve learned how to create a bio and post a picture. Anyway, I’m a college student, I’ve been on local TV frequently throughout my young childhood (from age 10-14) performing skits. I later took up a couple of internships at some broadcasting studios. I live in a small city right off the edge of our state capitol. I’m studying visual communications to pursue my career as a film editor (or camera operator, haven’t quite decided yet). I play the viola and tennis. I live with my 16 year old sister, my mom (who’s currently fighting, and beating, cancer), my dad, and our 3 year old parakeet. I love Marvel (RDJ is the best) and photography. I’ve got Tourettes which is pretty annoying sometimes. I hope to get to know some of y’all and I hope you’re staying safe in our current Covid situation.

This is my parakeet named Peta. She used to belong to my grandparents who thought she was a male (her original name was Pete). Within a week of having her, we found out she was a female. Anyway, it doesn’t matter what she is because she thinks she’s a duck either way :) She mimics other birds, but she quacks more than she chirps
